decided to engage Belmont fencing as they are local and having worked close to their shed they were always out and about. price came in the on par with other mobs. Commenced work in mid August 2025. Once completed the spoil was not taken away, this wasn't mentioned in the quote/optional additional cost. I understand this was done in a wetter part… Read more

of the year but the garden was a mess. If I was an elderly person I would of had to have called in another crew just to clean up the mud and concrete. I did ring and was told they didn't take it. Ended up moving 4-5 100 litre wheelbarrows and had to get a skip at my own cost.

Quite a few nails missed the battens and batten screws put through base boards without a double check on my side of the fence which resulted in plenty of sharp points exposed which my 2 year old toddler could of easily cut himself on.

Just as the tradesmen who did the installation was packing up I managed to check a few posts with a 2m spirit level and found them to be miles out. had to prop up a brand new fence for plumb.

We got to Jan 2026 and I noticed that the fence was already starting to wobble in the wind. Double checked every post for a rock and found 2 that needed attention. Dug out the first post and basically found crumbs of concrete at the top of the hole and that was about it. Pretty disgusting just how little was in there. Again I understand fencers usually do a mud mix but I am paying for concrete to be put in there. Put one bag on postcrete in there and she's solid. Not that hard really.

Over all not very impressed with the finish. I know it's only a fence but let's have some pride in our work shall we. A 5 month fence wobbling in the wind is very poor.

For reference for the people reading, I'm not a little office boy, I'm a time served mechanical fitter and time served carpenter. The only reason I didn't do this job myself is the fact that we share this fence with a council commission house and after problem after problem with the DFFH I didn't want to bust my balls going through the motions with them.

Put it this way, the next fence I'm doing will be done by myself.

Just a quick message to compliment your fencers that have completed our new boundary fence today. They were quick, clean, efficient, polite and couldn’t be more helpful. We will certainly use Belmont Fencing again in the future.

No attention to Customer Service! – Have been trying to get a quote since beginning of December, now near the end of January. Every time I speak to Belmont Fencing I get the run around, never do what they say, always another excuse. Spoke to the Estimator twice today quote is coming for sure within the hour, nothing. Rang & asked if Belmont Fencing wanted to do the job & was told… Read more

yes! Told them if I don’t see the quote within the hour forget sending it as I have lost patience. If I get the quote I will not accept it, other contractors would be glad to get the work. Forget this mob absolutely hopeless.

Not the greatest communicators – They did a fair job on the fence, but then didn't have the right part, so we had to wait with little to no communication. They then promised to come back and finish off something else for us (needed to be in the same timber) then after chasing them for 6 weeks, they decided they were too busy. Fair job if you are not too worried about communication skills. Show details

I’d say give them a miss – Constantly re nailed, gaps where fence meets posts. Top rails lifted, very small nails used to nail pails onto posts. Gate requires lifting, and has dropped the list goes on! Not a lot of price difference with other quotes. They did come back once and didn’t do much to rectify… fence just on 3 years since install. Wouldn’t recommend at all

Professional, and understanding service – Peter and Greg have been fantastic, from the quoting process (which was very easy), all the way to what will soon be our finished fence! They have been flexible, understanding and professional under very difficult circumstances. They have also been very patient with our constant phone calls and requests. They were also able to accommodate the… Read more

finalisation of our fence for, what is for them, a very busy time.

Would definitely recommend Belmont Fencing for your new or existing home!

Avoid This Company At All Costs – Disgusting service and workmanship. No communication. No concrete securing fence posts. Posts not to required depth in ground. They refuse to make good, will not return emails or phone calls and fob us off when we go there to complain. They rely on their long past reputation which is worth nothing now. Do not use this company if you want a good, secure fencing.

Easy to organise & quality work – I got a small part of the driveway fence replaced and a rotted gate too. They were professional with quoting, communication and I thought the price was reasonable and the work was of a very good standard. I have no trouble recommending them to others. I could barely get an email back from other fencers in Geelong.

Really poor communication bad product – Didn't get what we paid for and the completed job was messy and unprofessional. Site clean up was not done. No communication between the office staff and tradies. Quotation was wrong from the start after giving clear instructions, person never came to front door to say they were on site. Wouldn't recommend this company at all. I would give them NO STARS

Poor work no after service – Put a long timber fence up all in one short go. Yes put it all up on wet posts. Rang up to get a post replaced that is broken due to shoddy workmanship. Already paid and yes you guessed it no after care. One rail has already come off as it was too short to the post so they just skewed the nail to make it look like it was fixed properly. I could go on. Had different fencer say it was a crap job

Hopeless!! No Care Taken! – We required a fence to be built at the front of our property, and after getting a number of quotes we went with Belmont Fencing. Their quote wasn't the cheapest, but the options they gave us were great. The fence was built in October, and came to a cost of $4616. By November, the fence between us and the neighbour, had tilted severely, boards… Read more

were warping, and we noticed pallings and posts were cracking and splitting. Even noticed on the top of one part of the fence a large nail, which was bent into the fence, had started to come out.

A number of emails and phone calls later, and someone came out (January) and fixed the lean on the fence, which has started to return. The man said he would be back to fix the rest shortly. It is the last day of March, and yet no reply or return. Fence looks good from a distance Poor follow up, poor quality workmanship and poor quality products
