Sad Example Of A Dishonest Family Business.
Unfortunately, I have had to learn the hard way that it's very difficult to find trustworthy services in the Western Suburbs of Sydney, and once again I have been very disappointed this time with a Fencing company, I thought I had given very careful consideration out of three quotes, even eliminating one because of negative reviews, and I decided to go with the one who said all the right things, the owner of this business told me ''We are a family business and my sons work with me, we do a good job and you will be happy with the result'', also ...he was very friendly which was reassuring and gave me a positive feeling that I had made the right decision to give him the job. After receiving the initial quote of $11,660.00 on 19/09/2018 and subsequently paying a deposit of $2,660.00 on 31/10/2018 their customer service from then on proved to be abysmal, a further payment was made to him of $3,500.00 on 11/12/2018 which was an extra payment for two side gates, this brought the cost to $15,160.00 plus an extra S500.00 cash for three gate locks from Bunnings which I later priced at $79.95 each so with installation should not have been much more than $300.00 not $500.00, (actually they wanted to charge me $600.00 complete rip-off, and I managed to haggle them down to $500.00) bringing the total cost of this job to $15,660.00 I mentioned to him when he was measuring up for the quote, that during my home renovation around $4,000.00 worth of my property was stolen through the garage ceiling manhole by the roof cavity cleaners that were sub-contracted by the builder, and after that pilfering continued by the building workers up until completion, and I told him that I had to call the police out twice to attend at my home to report the incidents, but the police could do nothing about it without fingerprints or CCTV, I realise now that was an error on my part, because that just made it worse and then it was carte blanche for the light-fingered to just help themselves to what they wanted from my home, and it happened again with BG Fencing, and the reason I know is because one item a brand new still sealed Electronic Foot Massager was too big to go through the ceiling manhole in the garage, after the $4,000.00 worth of property was stolen I found the Foot Massager on the bottom shelving and I felt grateful for small mercies that I still had this item, but as the manhole could no longer be accessed I thought the property in my garage would now be safe and secure, but that Foot Massager together with two maybe three also brand new Solar Fountain Water Pumps which I had only purchased at the end of October 2018 and one brand new set of Christmas Garden Lights which I had only purchased in December 2018, also, some things were moved around on the shelving, one item which I had on one shelf was moved to another, and I'm not sure if more was stolen I just haven't missed any other items yet, always you remember something you bought before then later realise that's also missing, I know this from past experience. The reasons for the bad review for B.G. Fencing are as noted below: 1/ On the 05/02/2019 BG Fencing were at my home installing the fence and gates, and there were to my memory four or five people including the owner and his sons.
