Bio Chef was not a good choice – I have to fully agree with Stephen's comments... We have not had our blender 1 year and the motor is toast... We used it daily to every other day making smoothies, soups and nut milks for home use I have contacted Vitality 4 life twice with no response... Originally spent hours researching both Bio Chef and Vitamix we should have gone with the Vitamix... a family owned american company Show details
Good multiple purpose machine but has engine problems & 'after sales service' requires additional out of pocket costs – Does the job well at a fraction of the cost of the more expensive brands. Blends well overall - only option I haven't tried yet is blending nuts or harder materials but making soups, sauces, smoothies, is done well. Edit: what was written above was my initial appraisal of the machine. Since then, we've had two units fail with engines burning out.… Read more
Both have been covered under warranty, however, there is still the expectation that the unit is sent back at the buyer's expense (!). It's a heavy unit! Keeping this in mind, should the customer be expected to pay $20-$30 in return delivery costs (individuals generally do not have access to cheaper shipping rates that a business makes use of!!)? Even more ridiculous, is the idea that whether your household has an income on the high end, say, $100,000 a year or low income, on $20,000 a year - this expectation is the same (???). When approached on this, staff bring it to your attention that it's within the 'terms & conditions' which in short, leaves the buyer out of pocket. Out of pocket when needing to repair an item that clearly has a manufacturing fault! So not only do you shell out initially for the machine, you have to hope there are no faults with it - otherwise you're up for more money simply to have it fixed (unless you're lucky enough to live close to the retailer or service centre)! Not impressed & had this aspect not been a further slap in the face (aside from two machines now failing in the same way), I'd still have rated higher than I have now.

Great...while it lasted – Pros: Really powerful and efficient blender. Heavy base, heavy jug, and appeared well-made. The blades are as sharp as when I bought them. I went with the white and it looked great on the counter. The touch control was easy to use and keep clean. Smoothies and soups tasted so much better because the blend was so fine - no more bits of seeds and… Read more
veggie/fruit skin. I made sauces, soups, smoothies, sorbets, ice-creams, nut butters, crumb mixes, and ground coffee, and it did every job, no problem. It's overkill for baby food, but it has nailed that too. I have not used it as much the past year (we moved to a smaller kitchen so it's been stored away to free up counter space), but in its first year it was in use on average about 5 or 6 times a week, and it seemed to handle this with no problem. Costs less than other similarly powered blenders. BioChef offer 10 year warranty on the motor and 7 years on parts.
Cons: Noisy, but all high powered blenders are noisy. The LED thermometer on the tamper came loose and eventually separated from the tamper in the first month of use. Last but not least, I had this blender for just under two years when it started smoking one morning while blending a standard fruit smoothie. BioChef were very prompt, polite and courteous when I contacted them, and offered to take a look at the machine for me (with no guarantee of replacement/repair), but they requested that I foot the bill for shipping it back to them (which I understand is standard practice). But because of where I live and the size and weight of the product, I'm looking at over $100 in freight, which I'm just not going to pay after the amount I paid for the machine in the first place.
Overall: Great-looking, powerful machine that was terrific while it worked, but at the end of the day it broke during its second year. I'd buy it only if you live near the place of purchase or the manufacturer in case you need to return it.

Great product, but cleaning not as easy as some competitors – Great product, love the warranty, bug cleaning not as easy as some others in the market Show details · 1
Best Buy worth every penny. One draw back it comes with only one jar one more small jar is needed – Should have one more small jar with this. Only one jar is not enough specially when you grind some spices you can't use it for milkshakes immediately smell remains for 2/3 days. Show details · 1
BEST BLENDER – LOVE my living food blender! I use daily to puree my babies breakfast, my smoothies, soups etc! Haven't had any problems and so easy to clean. Definitely recommend. Show details · 1
Great blender – Great blender, was looking at the vitamix then saw this, and glad I changed my mind, temperature gauge in the tamper is genius...the pre-settings allow me to just press the buttons and leave it to do its thing... very happy with my purchase and it looks awesome in my kitchen...thanks BioChef for a great product Show reply
