Optimum 9400

light it needs suction cups to hold it on the kitchen bench. Performance was really no different to the Magimix, even though it carries a much higher wattage motor. And after trying it a couple of times, I was convinced this thing was not going to go the distance (flimsy plastic clipping mechanism to lock in the jug, these are prone to breaking over time). There's a 10 year warranty you can purchase for an additional $110 (Magimix has 30 years included), but that would have made it much more expensive. So ended up buying a new Magimix instead.

everything to gain by trying one. I bought one together with the sound cover and the extended warranty and still saved more than $400- on the cost of the Vitamix. It is honestly one of the best purchases I've made. Making smoothies, which we do daily, has never been so quick and easy. Most of the time I don't even need the tamper because the design is so good the food just seems to automatically move of its own accord. Our smoothies contain everything from fresh fruit and green leaves to ice and frozen fruit and it doesn't hesitate. I wouldn't say the blender is very noisy but the sound cover definitely makes a difference. At this early stage I haven't yet used it for anything else so I'm looking forward to soup season as the weather cools down as well as exploring other uses too. I would definitely recommend this product and wouldn't hesitate to buy another based on our current experience.

Expensive mistake based on high reviews – There are better products on the market. their commercial trap misleading potential buyers. High reviews do not reflect the reality. Only one good thing the blender really does is blending. Wow! Isn't it supposed to do it? Well, yes! But... 1. When it works. 2. Does not have safety mechanism for the lid. On bad terms you can blend your fingers. Safety mechanism is available in majority blenders on the market. This feature is paramount when you have children. 3. RRP is massively inflated. They have a lot of room for artificial price offers. When blender was on repairs I bought Ninja blender wich was third of the price, having plenty more features. Now we mostly use Ninja, belive me or not. BTW, do not buy Blender cover even if you got into the idea of buying from them. 4. Aesthetics - blender looks like from 70s or 80s. And "creme de la creme"... 5. Design of the jug - nightmare?! When you blend for a smoothie there in NO chance to not spill it. The jug does not have proper shape to pour liquid into your desired container. You spill every single time and then smoothie leaks on the jug's side wall?! 6. Warranty is a joke. When you send blender for inspection/repairs you pay fixed $25 shipping rate. You must send ALL parts! So we did. However, they did not send back the tamper and they blamed me for not sending it which is huge nonsense!! They couldn't find it in their workshop so it was easy to blame us for not sending it. Very convenient isn't it? Then they politely send a link how we can obtain a new one. Which we did because we didn't have a choice. $25 tamper + $9 shipping. But this is nothing... The main reason why we send the blender for repairs was that the blender simply did not work. It turned out that the jug had tiny "pin" broken which activates blender's base by pushing pin into the base. Warranty was rejected because they asked us whether we used the blender in the dishwasher. I was honest and said that it was in the dishwasher to remove residue/sediment and odour from the jug. This residue accumulates overtime whether you like it or not. Again, it was very convenient for the Froothie to reject the warranty and blame customer. We needed to pay for repair of the tiny pin - another $144. And again... had no choice. How would you justify that the "pin" was broken by having the jug once in the dishwasher? Overall, super expensive snd not safe blender, horrific marketing strategies using customers naivety by taking the bait of exitment (high reviews pushed by Froothie).

What a fantastic upgrade from the original 9400 – We have owned a Frothie 9400 since late 2013 and this is a great blender and service has been great without any issues such as replacement parts. situations and can also be programmed to your liking, so no more manual blending. simply press and forget. you press one of the preset buttons according to what you need done and the blender blends at different speeds and stops when its all done! This is fantastic and can make you even more productive in the kitchen and the performance is way better than the original 9400 and of course you would expect that!

* The jug has a large rounded bottom making it easier to extract anything that you have mixed and also things don't get stuck at the bottom of the jug.

This does have an optional sound cover which we didn't get and we are happy that we didn't to save money as its not that noisy at all compared to the original 9400.

* The jug has even more power.

Our experience with the 9400X over the last few months has been exceptional. We have made delicious smoothies, shakes, cocktails, soups, puree vegetables and dips all with ease and it is so easy to clean with just a dapple of soap, warm water and put it on a short cycle to clean in seconds.

The family couldn't be any happier and we all strongly recommend the 9400X.

Easily nosier than a lawnmower with cover – If my air con sounded that loud i would have it replaced … quickly. :/ Not anywhere near as quiet as depicted sorry, rest of machine well built and seems good but main reason for purchase was noise, if thats you, not the best..sorry, disapointed

Rust within a week of use – Unpacked, followed instruction for cleaning both before use and after each use (made a fruit smoothie with ice, twice a day) at the end of the first week rust is appearing between top and bottom blades. initially on one occasion when ice cubes fell to the bottom of the jug but a quick pulse fixed this. I have had little use to date, but given the cost and corrosion occurring in spite of cleaning and drying I cannot give it higher than 3 stars.

I am 82 years of age with chronic pancreatitis from medication wrongly prescribed over 8 years which caused multiple episodes of pancreatitis. Consequently I have a swallowing problem and bought the Smoothie Blender to enable me to prepare chicken breast together with salmon and fresh vegies in a palatable condition that I can swallow well. I am still learning about its functionality. However, the machine is commendable, effective, quick and not noisy. It can process almost anything provided it’s adjusted accordingly. For thick and creamy soup or puree it continuously requires a little bit of additional water. I am satisfied with the performance. Show details ·  1

I'vebeen really happy with the Optimum 9400X so far. The power is impressive, it blends crushed ice into smooth frappe type drinks in seconds, which is exactly what I wanted. It handles both solids and liquids really well too. Haven’t had any issues with any foods not blending properly. The speed controls are simple to use, same with cleaning up.
