Excellent Medication – I suffer from emphysema. It is imperative to clear the mucous straight away when I am getting a chest infection. I use Bisolvon along with drinking extra hot water and it really helps to thin the mucous down so I can clear my airways. It really works well for me and has been introduced into my regular care plan along with antibiotics and Prednisone when I am ill. Show details

forming and a cold coming and have remained free of infection for over a year now. It clears my congestion within 1/2 an hour usually and I only take it when I feel symptoms coming on. it is derived from the Adothodai plant used in Asian medicine for many years and it works!

miracle worker – works for me..tablet form....but you need to follow other tips for treating productive colds/coughs...drink plenty of water, rest, keep warm (if winter), nasal saline solution.... Bisolvon doesnt stop the actual coughing....codeine will...but coughing is the bodys way of removing the mucous...Bisolvon just loosens and breaks down the gunk , making coughing less of a 'struggle'...and quicker recovery.

Don't waste your money – Absolutely useless as are alot of those over the counter so called cough remedies. I would have thought the word forte stood for something that meant results but sadly not.

Recommended by Chemist - I don't rate – These tablets were recommended to me by the chemist for bronchitis to help loosen the mucus on my chest.
