Lives on and on – I have 2 dogs 2 cats and a couple of ferrets. This vacuum over the past decade or so has never let me down. BRILLIANT. I use my vacuum on wooden, carpeted and tile flooring. Works great on all surfaces. Show details
Long term review – A moot point writing a review on a vacuum no longer for sale, but perhaps it will be helpful. The price seemed a little too good to be true and the very quick test at the shop didn't tell me much. After using it at home it was clear the bagless technology was flawed. It claims "triple cyclonic" but in reality it is sub-cyclonic. It is reliant on… Read more
filters to stop dust and debris from escaping the vacuum cleaner. The foam filter cannot be used on more than a few rooms (10 mins) before it reaches capacity and needs to be emptied. The paper filter on the side of the cleaner has a huge job to do and gets quickly clogged with dust, with dusty air escaping around the side of the filter. When I first got the 10N6F home I wondered why it quickly accumulated a covering of dust. The suction and beaters do a decent job but emptying the vacuum cleaner after each brief use is tiresome.
A couple of months ago (the vacuum out of warranty of course) a horrendous screeching has plagued the Bissell. I changed the belt but the noise was just as loud. I opened up the whole vacuum cleaner and could find nothing wrong, and the motor was quiet as it used to be. The more I reassembled it the more the noise returned. Presumably something resonating in the case. As the operation of the vacuum (apart from the bandsaw noise) is unchanged I am STILL using it with a pair of earmuffs and closing the doors so all my neighbours don't get upset.
Clearly the cheap Bissell was not designed to be a long-term purchase, from the paper filtration, to the flimsy wheels, to the resonating case.
I want that vacuuum – That vacuum model is great for design and build your own home. I'm sure that the new vacuum cleaner review of the attached to the back of the attachments of the hoses, the on board tools like the turbo brush tool to tackle upolstery and stairs and lots more while the combination of 12 amps of power Show details
Great vacuum best suction – This vcuum lives up to it's name and has a great option of removing pet hair from carpets furniture etc. The suction power is incredible and it is removing so much fine dirt particles from under the carpet it is incredible to see each time i vacuum. The house we bought was only 4 years old and we have currently lived in it for 3 so it is… Read more
relatively newish carpet, but this vacuum cleaner has no problem with finding hidden dirt particles that others could only dream of. It is very easy to operate and empty the cylinder and you can actually see how much dirt and debris it is collecting while you vacuum.
Excellent – I have been using this for about 2 months now and I am very happy with it. Pet hair has been erased! I read the reviews before buying it and honestly, the people crying about how heavy and noisy it is and how the cord always gets in the way etc have obviously never used a kirby. I carried this vacuum out the store under 1 arm and compared to my… Read more
old kirby it is very quiet. The salesman told me to make sure I set the floor height correctly as thick/long carpets can burn out the motor/ ruin the belts if set too low. The rubber head attachment works best for soft couches and cushions etc. The turbo head attachment is best for firm surfaces as the suction is very strong and sucks lose fabric up and stops the turbo working.
I CAN LIVE WITHOUT THIS – Bought this vacuum, used to vacuum only half a room, left wheel was about to fall off. Turbo brush does not work. All in all this cleaner is rubbish, the attachments are the 'cheapest' quality one could imagine. Took straight back to store where purchased, obtained refund, refused another. Bissell's Australia site quote these machines @$300… Read more
thereabouts, I did not pay anywhere near this, in saying that I did not definitely get anywhere near a vacuum cleaner that would last. Nothing Quality control?. Wheel about to fall off, turbo brush not working. Did not keep long enough for anything else to happen.
Couldn't do without it! – I purchased this product back in 2011 and it's still going strong. To start with I will address the issues that other people have had with this vacuum cleaner. Yes it is noisy Yes I'm sure you could cut through the cord if you vacuumed over the top of it Yes it doesn't pick up stones and large debris on hard floors by using the main unit. … Read more
But if you can just ignore the noise, not run over the cord and use the detachable hose to pick up the large stuff on hard floors, it does a great job. The amount of hair it picks up is tremendous. Having two cats and also shedding quite a bit of hair myself I just couldn't do without it. I've tried many vacuums before and nothing has compared to this vacuum so far. It really is a powerful machine and even though people have complained about the weight I have found for myself (a 23 year old female) that it is less strenuous to use than a pull along. It also works really quickly. There's no need to go over an area multiple times to get up more dirt or hair like some vacuums, it just works so well that you have to put in less effort to get your house clean. And even though it does flick around larger debris on hard floors, for general dust and hair it also does a great job on hard floors.
I bought one for my mum from The good guys for $150 in Dec 2013 to replace her new Victa pull along that was doing stuff all! If you want to make your house cleaning easier, buy this vacuum. You'll be telling your friends about it just like me. Effectiveness, Value for money, Easy removable waste bin Nothing that can't be dealt with

My problem solved!. Went and bought a Volta Upright Powerglide. Wonderful machine, solid components and a 2 year warranty.
