I had a cordless which I gave away , and to be honest I would never buy a cordless again . Why ? Well , after 3 years it would barely hold a… Read more

charge and the operating time came down to a measly 10 minutes and the suction , sucked.

Eventually I decided on this Shark .

It was smaller than the photos would have you believe ,when it arrived I pieced it together and took it for a spin.

The suction was fantastic and I found on some surfaces I had to open the relief valve to drop the suction power .

I tried it with the canister detached and then with the wand detached , using to reach up into the ceiling for stray cobwebs and going under low furniture and my bed .

I then without telling my wife , went over some rooms she had vacuumed a few days earlier with the older vacuum cleaner she swears by, and as you can see In the photo I ended up with a canister full of dust and grime .

I have included a photo of the old vacuum cleaner, a well known brand that has factories all over the planet , and a well respected brand at that.

Out of curiosity I compared the noise level to the old vacuum cleaner, because this Shark seemed very quiet in comparison but the decibel reading were 88db for the old model and 80db for the Shark.

I put what I was hearing down to a different pitch level in the noise a bit like comparing bass to a midrange or treble.

The Shark was used on mainly wooden floors with plenty of rugs and hall runners in the mix . I didn't bother to lower the suction when shifting from the rugs to the wooden floor , it was not necessary, it was only the small light weight mats than presented a problem with the suction being too strong for these .

You have heard of washing machines swallowing socks never to be seen again well, this vacuum cleaner did the same thing , at first I could not find it in the hosing but then spotted it in the actual barrel with all the rubbish.

A couple of gripes here .

I found I could not sustain vacuuming the ceiling for long because the sheer weight of the hose and fittings were too much for me, being old, tired and decrepid probably explains why.

The other thing is, the cannister when detached is clumsy, there is no up or down unless you are actually holding it with one hand a bit like those old fashion astronauts walking to the rocket with their aux air tank , it falls all over the place. One more thing , I found the brush sliding attachment would not stay in place on the wand until I physically bent the plastic locking mechanism.

All in All I am more than satisfied , it does the job , is not to heavy to push around and with being able to detach parts to suit my needs it proved more than just a common old vacuum cleaner .

Incidentally, I got this at a steal , as there was no stock so had to wait a few weeks, but when it was in stock the price shot up to the recommended retail price only to fall again a few days later, so just be careful when buying this item as the price is volatile and never pay full price, just shop around.

Bought as I've only been using a cheap stick vacuum cleaner. I wanted something to pickup cat fur and give a better clean. While also being able to… Read more

vacuum skirting boards etc.

It does pickup dust and fur, I'll give you that. It is actually quiet, certainly quieter than what I expected.

The long cord is really helpful so you're not unplugging it to use another outlet.

Emptying it was also easy. Though as I thought I was returning it, I gave it a thorough clean which isn't quite so easy. Took about 15 minutes to clean.

Is quite bulky also and doesn't manoeuvre as I'd hoped it would.

Overall, for carpet a definite yes I would say it's great. Tiles, not so good. (My opinion only - would suit a larger home, to give a really good workout.)

Unfortunately I'm unable able to use it as well as I'd hoped as it's a bit heavy for me to push.

I didn't realise that I couldn't get a refund if unhappy with the product. I've never had trouble returning an item that has been unsuitable for me to use.

Now I'm stuck with an item I will have to try and sell, to get maybe half or less than what I paid.

I gave it 4 stars as it does pickup dust/ fur and dirt etc. But 1 star for not being able to return for at least something more suitable and at most - my money back.

was just outside the warranty period, how convenient is that? Most companies I deal with this similar issue would just cover it anyways as its just outside the warranty period but not this one. They refused to cover the repair and shipping, after back and forth they offered to only cover the labour and freight of return and I'd need to pay for the assessment, spare parts and freight to send it back to me. After reading reviews about people not getting their unit back I decided to play it safe and asked to buy a replacement battery instead. 1 month later and still waiting for them to send me an invoice so I can pay and get the battery but now I'm doubting they will even send the battery after I pay it! Customer service saying they are waiting for sales team to generate the invoice, totally ridiculous and waste of money, $600 down the drain just like that with no resolution.

As for the product it was very convenient to mop and vacuum at the same time but self clean was not great and the drying was just a fan and did not get the job done so you will need to wash the rollers everytime you use it. Battery was not enough to clean my double story house in one charge. I was unable to buy the replacement battery anywhere online in Australia either.

Updated: finally got the invoice for the battery from their third party repair centre and it was shipped out to me promptly. We were right, it was a busted battery so the mop is working again. A but disappointing that the battery only lasted for a year and we weren't using it that often either! The battery wasn't cheap and I think if it busts again I'm better off just buying a new mop unit elsewhere. Will not be buying from roborock again.

This is by far one of the worst Vacuum cleaner I ever owned. Bought it for my Mom, originally wanted a regular cordless vacuum but a friend convinced… Read more

us to get the mop one because "it's so convenient". Turns out the vacuum is complete garbage, doesn't do any good at either vacuuming or moping, the engine is very weak and doesn't suck well at all, the whole system is garbage and doesn't get the dirty water inside the tank, so it ends up back on your floor... It works for about 10 minutes then needs to be completely cleaned out so it doesn't leave dirty water everywhere. The product was advertised as being of good quality, even above commercial grade but it's worst than that. I do not recommend this product or that Brand that has poor ratings overall.

I'm very disappointed as reviews I had read seemed positive. Very short cable - I have attached a 10m extension lead so I don't have to change sockets for every room in the house. intuitive to use - fill up the clean tank with warm water and Bissell solution, unlock the upright stand with the foot pedal, spray the solution back and forth and repeat again to extract the solution from the carpet. The slower you go, the better the results. The amount of dirt that can be collected in the dirty tank is unbelievable - even after a thorough powerhead vacuum. It does good job with new stains and also old stains if you use Bissell Oxyboost additive and pre-treatment. The water extraction is efficient and carpets dry in 2-3 hours. Cleaning the head is easy enough as the extraction nozzle clips off and roller brush comes out with one screw for a rinse. It works well on flat rugs and low pile rugs, but no experience with shaggy rugs. It will also work on chairs if they're flat.

Only downsides are the slight leaks during use (keep it on a towel when standing upright), the clumsy emptying of the dirty water tank and small capacity of the clean tank which means you have to rinse and refill frequently, even for a small room. However this is only designed for small jobs and I can easily see a bigger tank as adding unneeded weight. That's why Bissell made the ProHeat x2 and Big Green for larger areas.

video on YouTube is highly persuasive! I checked out various reviews as well, but did not get a clear mandate. Giving it the benefit of the doubt, and acknowledging the generally accepted superior reputation of German products, I bought a SEBO Dart 2, preferring it over the Australian Tennant. Wrong decision! The machine is OK for domestic cleaning, but certainly not for commercial work. There were several problems:

(a) its cord was far shorter than regular backpacks, necessitating an extension cord;

(b) it could not suck anything more than about half a centimetre cube - its opening was simply not big enough;

(c) It sucked in from the right hand end but not from the left;

(d) the suction power was poor (I kept the machine very clean, emptying the bag before every job and following all instructions);

(d) its much touted orange and green lights that were to indicate right height of the machine vis-a-vis the carpet/floor was unhelpful;

(e) Withing a month both orange and green lights remained on simultaneously anyway, so they were useless;

(f) the machine died just after 1 year was over, i.e., immediately after the guarantee period ran out.

I can go on, but you get the drift!

Bottom line - stay away from this machine. The humble back-pack is superior, and at half the price too!
