Wish I had it sooner – It is my first Carpet Cleaner and I wish I have bought one sooner. I have 3 dogs and 60% of my house is carpet. The 3 different brushes are very simple to use, and I can easily switch from floor mode to tool mode. I even use the brush to clean the dog beds and my backpacks/luggage. I didn't take any before/after photos, but I was impressed with… Read more
the excellent result of old stains removal. The water tank is big enough to deep clean one big section (roughly 7mx7m) of carpet. It is extremely easy and effortless to remove the dirty water. Although this model comes with a hard-floor attachment, it is NOT a hard floor cleaner. I tried to use it as a mop for my marble floor tiles, it was troublesome and it did not work as well as my hard floor cleaner. Again, at the end of the day, I bought it to clean my carpet and it exceeds my expectation. This model is only available in Godfrey. After comparing this one against the PET Proheat, I chose Cleanview because it felt a bit more heavy-duty and it has a larger water tank.
Much better than I expected – Only having a couple of rooms with carpet I didn't really think it was worth hiring a carpet shampooer and so I bought one instead for $599. What I didn't know when I bought it was that it could also do hard floors too. Some assembly is required before you can use it. Besides the machine itself it comes with three 236ml bottles with different… Read more
detergents for different applications. One for carpets, one for hard floors and the other is a boost detergent for carpets. It has a full instruction manual and numerous attachments all in the box. You start by filling the combined detergent and waste water bucket with hot water from the kitchen sink tap. There is a rubber bladder inside the bucket that the detergent goes into and Bissell tells you via the instruction booklet not to fill it with boiling water or to put the bucket in a microwave and heat the water that way as it will damage the bucket. There is an onboard heater that the water flows through so the water stays hot when it's applied to the carpet. I found it easier to pour the recommended amount of detergent into the bladder first with the provided measuring cup then fill with hot water that is not hotter than 60 degrees. The shampooer comes with an 8m long electrical mains lead. There are two large foot operated buttons on the back of the machine. One is to turn the machine on and the other is to recline the handle to not only enable easy fitment of the bucket onto the machine but also to push machine for cleaning the carpet. Once you're all set to go with the machine running and having made sure you've given the carpet a thorough vacuuming first you squeeze the trigger in the handle which applies the hot water with detergent to the carpet in one long forward and backwards move. You then release the trigger and go backwards and forwards over the carpet to extract the dirt and grit. The more times you go over that cleaned piece of carpet the more water is extracted thus reducing drying time. The shampooer also comes with a wide variety of attachments. There's an attachment for doing hard floors which fits under the machine and other attachments for doing upholstery like lounge chairs and carpet on stairs. These fit into the supplied hose on the back of the machine. There's a rotating knob on the top of the machine which is labeled "floor cleaning" and "Tools". By turning it to "Tools" the water and detergent goes into the hose which like the handle has a trigger on it for applying detergent via some of the tools. The "Deep Reach Tool" could be used to extract dirt and detergent from carpet in the car. There are brush tools to fit power drills (not supplied with this machine) so you can spray your choice of detergent onto your car's carpet then agitate it with the power drill brush then extract all the dirt with the "Deep Clean Tool" on the carpet shampooer. Once again going over the cleaned area numerous times to cut down on the drying time. Another tool is the crevice tool which has a detergent applicator to enable you to clean round skirting boards. All the attachments can be stored in the supplied attachment carry bag. Cleaning all the tools and bucket is a breeze. You empty the bucket of the dirty water which will be a dark brown colour. There's also a float in the bucket to prevent dirty water over flowing from the bucket. The bucket will also have grit in it but the removable top is easily rinsed out with cold water. There is a "Hydro Rinse Tool" which you put on the hose end and with some clean water in the dual bucket you turn the machine on and it rinses out the hose and puts the grit into the bucket where the dirt water was from the carpets. What sort of job does the shampooer do on the carpets. Well my carpets haven't been shampooed for over 30 years and it brought them up like new. Drying time was about 4 hours. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this Clearview Essential Machine to anyone for domestic use.
