Hard to clean, easy to break – The spotclean works so well on spills and stains around the house. The trade off is that the machine itself needs to be cleaned after every use. After 2 years of use, our machine hose broke. The part we need for it is always sold out on the website so we have a broken machine that we can't fix. Show details
Almost perfect – I've been looking at different spot and carpet cleaners for a while once I decided to buy Bissel Spot clean and I do not regret that. It's very compact and easy to store. Now about the cleaning. It is very loud, neither my kids, nor the dog likes the noise but what can you do...they are the ones who make the mess I need to clean up. It's easy to fill up just with water and Bissell cleaning products (that's a bit of a shame that always have to buy them but nothing you can do about it). Then just have to spray they dirty area, rub it with the brush and suck out the dirty water.
It comes with 2 brushes - smaller and bigger one. Haven't use the small one and don't think I ever will but wish the bigger brush would be even bigger to cover larger areas. I understand it's a spot cleaner but could be used for larger items/carpets even better.
It cleans very good fresh stains but not that good with older marks on the carpet. But you just have to be on top of it - clean as soon as the mess is made.
Looking forward also to try to clean my sofa, hopefully the result will be satisfying.
The water is so dirty afterwards, that is even unbelievable...

SpotClean Auto 4720K breaks easily!! – I am a Bissell fan on the norm. I bought a SpotClean Auto 4720K and it worked fine for about 8 x's for kids when sick or simple spills. But today I pulled out to suck up some milk spilt and hose split and came out of unit. Tried to order new hose and whole unit is $40 but ON BACKORDER!! So, I presume this happens to others too, due to backorder!! $250 unit is already broken!! What a bad look for Bissell. I will not buy another! F- Show details
Works Great – I purchased this item to get rid of the stain and smell of a bottle of iced coffee that exploded in the car on the carpet while on holidays. seats with hot tap water and it came up nice and clean. I've also tried it on the couch with the pet liquid as my dog likes sleeping on the there. After cleaning the couch it no longer smells like dog.

Not all that good – I was commercial cleaner years ago. I purchased this machine to clean a few spot areas. One was in my hallway and the other was on my car seat. The hose is extremely short requiring you to have the machine close you when you are cleaning.
I was skeptical but this is perfect – We use the cleaner to clean upholstery including our car interior. Looking at the product I was concerned about the uptake of water after cleaning - if things would be very wet. I've been surprised and can highly recommend this product. The colour of the water after cleaning surprised me - so much dirt that we couldn't even see. I love that we don't have to go and hire a machine - we can take care of spills right there and then. Would not suck up the Water – Very excited to purchase after reading the reviews. Very disappointed as water dispenser worked well but suction was very weak. So I had a few cans and stared unboxing this machine. It seemed like a great little gadget to super clean the countless upholstery tasks and jobs we do as well as maintain our existing upholstered items. After assembling the unit I went to work. After a few attempts, some more cans and a fairly steep learning, it did do an amazing job.
Pros: It complements existing cleaning methods like vacuuming.
It sucks up wet mess like drinks.
It allows for the use of cleaners to get in the piles and pull out odours and debris.
Cons: It will not pull out all the water. Simply put its not a commercial machine. So it’s best to use on a warm day where possible.
Hose is short. Pain in the neck for cars.
Spray is excessive with some attachments.
What I found to work well was to vacuum throughly first then make up a solution in a cheap spray bottle and use the bottle to apply the solution. Agitate with horse hair shoe brush then suck it out with this machine and fill the solution tank with warm water to sort of rinse where needed. The spray bottle gave me more control over the application of solution. The crevice attachment is also incredibly effective in hard to reach areas.
I can’t wait to actually use this on the mattress the next time the youngest child has an accident to see if it is effective or not.

A must have! – This is a fantastic little device. My couches are always spotless (which is great with a messy 3yo). Quick spot clean on carpets or carseats - I even clean out mattress with it, lifts stains/marks so well! The formulas are affordable for the amount used. Works great!!, well worth it – Such a great spot cleaner it has not stopped, i would not think my car was that dirty it removes the stain really well if it does not the first time just spray scrub with the brushes on the heads wait a few minutes then go over it again. There are 2 cleaning solutions you can get use both together i one, sometimes you through it quick other times not it depends on how dirty it is. also cleans sofas really well Drying time is quick couple hours or if you have it in the sun 30mins - 1 hour Compact almost everything fits all on the machine itself
Only dislike is how short the hose is a little longer would have been perfect, but that's my only gripe
