Simple cleaning – Bought this one because I moved into a house that has tiles and laminated flooring. Its well made and constructed, was easy to put together. The pads are wide and durable, easy cleaned with warm water or in washing machine. I give it a clean after each use and empty the water from the flask to extend the life of the flask and rubber seals. I'm 6ft7 and the handle is long enough soas not to hurt my back when using it. Slim design so it tucks into the cupboard easy enough. Uses next to no power. Heat up time is a crazy 4 seconds. Came with a decent 2 year warranty.

So far so good – The black and decker steam mop 1616 2-in-1 has so far been adequate for mopping my tile floors. The main part of the mop separates from the handle and there is a small triangular mop to mop into corners or tight spaces. It comes with two mop heads for large mop and two mop heads for the triangular mop. The water tank isn't that large so it needs refilling whilst I'm mopping. It's quite good value for the price.

Competitively priced at $99 - very effective floor cleaner – I'd purchased the previous model which had a design fault in the handle and had a replacement 3 or 4 times - whilst annoying it reflected on the excellent B&D policy at that time with Godfrey's who immediately provided a new machine without any quibbles. The handle design was changed and the machine gave excellent service for 3 years when the handle finally gave up the ghost. I had no qualms about buying the latest model for the same price of $99 although Godfrey's say it's on offer down from $200!!!

My floor tiles gleam with a slight spray of white vinegar ahead of the steam.
