shipped overseas while you’re left without a dash cam for weeks or months. All three units completely bricked just out of warranty. Reeks of planned obsolescence and would make sense considering there’s a new model every year. Have now purchased VIOFO units and they are much better quality at less than half the cost. Do your research.

Great quality – Cameras are great!!! but the Aux cable is way too short. Can't use my rear camera due to the cable being about 1.5m short for my sedan. Please see picture for evidence. Show details ·  1

No enough information – Few months ago I bought a Blackveu at Local Autobarn near me, but the shop assistant didn’t give enough information that I need an extra battery for the parking mode.the result , After somebody scratched my car on parking area unfortunately I couldn’t found the footage on my camera, very disappointed! Show details

Power plug keeps disconnecting! – What's the point in buying a top-end dashcam if when you need the footage, you find the power cord has disconnected so it wasn't even recording? Don't ever go on any bumpy roads or it will come out. It could even wiggle out just from normal use over time. It is a genuine BlackVue and I had it installed by a professional. Absolutely fuming with this useless camera. Spend over $800 on this dashcam and I'm going to have to use tape or Blu-Tack to keep the cords in and hope it works, hope it doesn't melt and hope it doesn't cause the dashcam to overheat. And don't even get me started with the lack of compatibility with phones that are even slightly not mainstream. Have a mid-range Motorolla smartphone? Forget it. None of the troubleshooting worked. Only when I got a Samsung did the app work.

It did the job great for 7 years but failed out of reasons which looked more due to an softwear update. Blackvue replaced the camera for a budget price of $180 which seems to be fair enough after 7 years. Would I buy it again, yes for sure but price is a bit on the high side. Show details

Don't buy this dashcam – Big mistake to buy this dashcam. I bought DR-2CH from autobarn installed with them , after 3 months both dashcam blown up sent them to blackvue for repairs 3 moths waiting for results still nothing. Poor Support – I have used Blackvue for many years and always have updated to the latest model. The cameras are not cheap especially in that I get my local AutoBarn to install it, about $1000.00 for each upgrade. receive that channel. There are heaps of posts on the web about it, however, I didn't think of checking before I bought my new phone as there had never been a issue. So I ask Blackvue Australia for support and they tell me to contact Korea, I do that and they don't respond! I get back to Blackvue Australia and they give me the email for the Support Manager. Send off another email and once again zero response. If this is the way Blackvue are going to treat me by just ignoring the issue then they have a major PR problem! I even asked if I upgraded to the 900X and spent another $1000 could I access 5G wi-Fi on my new phone, no reply? Seems after all these years I will flog my remaining three blackvue dashcams on ebay and buy the latest Thinkware, I'm told their support is acceptable.

Customer Service DR900S-1CH – Some 22 months after I purchased DR900S-1CH camera with 128GB the SD card failed. I contacted customer service I was told the accessory warranty is only for 12 months. I would not have purchased the BlackVue SD card at the premium price had I known about the Samsung Pro Endurance and asked for the decision to be reviewed. They promptly agreed send me a replacement Samsung card. I call that good customer service.

The software could be better – From a pure objective point of being a dash cam, this does exactly what I want. However, the software leaves a bit to be desired. There’s no easy way to transfer data to your phone short of a SD card adapter. Copy times over wifi are atrocious so you have to leave the car on and your phone nearby plugged in waiting for the download to complete. Excellent camera and quality videos – Have had eBay generic cheapies, to reasonable quality cameras. However they all suffered from battery expansion and reduced video quality within one year. wifi to download videos. I use quality cards like the Lexar professional series. The only problem I had and lots have had as well, was the 3M double sided tapes that came with it was not up to the autumn sun, let alone the summer sun. I went to Bunnings and got the Moroday brand one. It hasn't come off since.

Fantastic Quality & After service – Picture quality (crystal clear number plates) is the best I have seen. Best product in the market. I had a small issue with the memory card and they were quick to replace the card for me. Great to see they have a solid support team behind them. bought them on eBay with the park mode box so we have peace of mind when we park up and leave the vehicle, video quality is excellent, sound on or off and the app support is simple to use.

Fantastic add on to my new Mazda 6 – The internet connection to my mobile through the device is easy to set up. Quality of the footage downloaded is tops. All in all, worth the cost to provide the peace of mind. An early connection problem to my vehicles power supply causing frequent camera shut downs was easily diagnosed and corrected. Only thing I wished I could have done was discovered this product earlier last year before I got involved in a traffic accident where afterwards the person involved changed her story which then caused my car insurer to advise me that they were unable to determine who was at fault! cameras ok when it works – Purchased this camera in 2018 was a bit wary after i looked at some people reporting the unit shutdown after it got hot but this seems to have been fixed i've not had this happen to me but then again i don't park in the direct sun for hours if i can help it. me most of the time however the support seems pretty poor for an expensive camera. I have an iphone and its on IOS 13. At the moment i can't control the camera with my phone as the firmware of the camera wont connect to my phone. some new security measure with IOS however blackvue are still yet to issue an update to fix this. Its disappointing for their flagship product.

Great camera – After an eBay generic that failed less than 12 month, I got a mini 0806, which although was a lot better than the eBay generic ones, the GPS took time to lock and after 3 years has died. I stumbled upon autobahn sale and snatched a bargain. GPS locks in about 30 seconds and parking mode with the power magic pro is handy. Only down side I can think of is its size which is more than twice that of the mini 0806 and only has one card slot. Show details ·  1

Perfect does everything – Easy to set up in both Wifi and Cloud, parking mode an excellent feature, picture quality on both cameras is great, remote tracking is a great feature, those at home can see where you are and the driving conditions takes the worry out of long trips alone. Show details ·  1

to viewing the recorded video is a breeze, only taking a few trips to adjust the settings to my liking. I brought the 1ch model because of the dark tinting on the rear window on my 4X4, so the only criticism that I have is that a rear camera can’t be added later on if I require one, (maybe this could be looked at by BlackVue for future models). Overall this is a brilliant dash cam.

The box came with spare 16gb memory card which I am using now and its working fine.

A warning to all Blackvue users, keep checking the recorded videos every now and then to make sure your Blackvue memory card is working fine.

Will be sending the faulty card to Blackvue in Perth now, as I have already spoken to them but not happy when you spend a fortune on a camera and it lets you down when you need it as an evidence.

Good on picture quality but work badly (overheating) during summer time – Not working properly in summer time. Blackvue give below solution but not really workable. Blackvue dashcam can operate within -20℃ to 60℃ (-4°F to 140°F ). However you might be right, if the outside temperature is 33, the temperature inside the vehicle might rise to 60 or close to it. more than other dashcam because of its 4K UHD resolution.

That's why sometimes it is hot but that was perfectly fine.

I suggest to please make sure that your dashcam, is not directly parked in the sunlight (if there is no other shade you might change the position of your parking. eg, vertical front-->vertical backward)

just not to get a direct exposure to sunlight (since the dashcam is metallic).
