The best dashcam on the market

We get lost in all the dashcams to choose but if you take the advice of an owner of the Blackvue they are the best. Easy to install easy to use I love the 900 model 2 channel also there support staff are full of knowledge and are great to understand Show details ·  1

DO NOT BUY. USELESS WITH NEW APP

What was once the best on the market is now completely useless with the new app updates. You will not stay logged in and will be prompted with ads and upgrades that are stuck behind a paywall. Just another company that got greedy and tries to take more from their loyal customers Show details

Worked ok until app update. Now useless

Doesn’t work since app tech update. No video, no connection, no cloud. Absolutely useless expensive junk. Don’t bother. Prior to app update, it was ok and managed to record ok but accessible only when connected to hotspot in my car. Show details

Recent SW upgrade a total disaster

Got the camera for less than a year and worked perfectly until the recent SW update.
Now the camera is no longer accessible by the Cloud, shutting down even with backup battery. I only can access it by Wifi in the car. Support and software development are very unprofessional lack of customer focus to address customer concerns. Today I regret buying it, its not the camera which would perform excellent its the hastily untested releasing of new SW which screwed up the camera.

Interesting BlackVue feedback "Inaccurate/irrelevant content" ignoring a problem doesnt make it go away. Show details

Good camera but I wouldn’t recommend it

Let me start by saying the customer support by the guys at Blackvue in Perth is excellent. But the camera is disappointing. The videos are excellent but my gripe is with the time it takes to connect to GPS. The first camera took 15 minutes to make the first connection of the day, thereafter it was generally much quicker. Blackvue sent me a replacement and this one is better but still takes about 3-4 minutes to connect. Meanwhile my much cheaper NavMan MiVue connects almost instantaneously. Had I known beforehand of this problem I would have bought another brand. When I upgrade to my next car a Blackvue camera will definitely not be on my shopping list. Show details

Been using Blackvue products for a few years now with no problems. The new Dr900XPlus with the CM100Lte 4G hotspot is great and easy to install and setup. Love the remote viewing and tracking capabilities. Show details

Questions & Answers

I had a professional hardwired install DR750X-2CH Plus dashcam by Repco, which was unfortunately stolen after I got into an accident. I've since purchased a DR900X-2CH Plus and I'm wondering whether I need to have it install again or if I can use the existing installed power cable simply plug it in and start using it. I understands all the X-series uses the same power cable and should be compatible within the X series (DR750X power cable used by DR900X).

Could you please advise me on this matter?

Regards

Is there a way of determining if the BlackVue camera is not a fake ? Looking at buying a second hand 900x plus, and just wanted to be sure. Thank you

Hi - what is the difference between the DR900x-2ch and the DR900x-2ch PLUS ?? regards Drew

I think the plus indicates a hard wiring kit.
