The worst dishwasher I have ever owned – Dishes came out soaking wet and dirty, the flimsy machine was cheaply made. Loudest dishwasher. Worst one so far.
Lasted 3 years, then leaked – The machine worked ok I guess for the price we paid $699 with extended warranty. Then one morning it’s leaked so badly inside it’s shorted out the house and ruined my floor. Stay away piece of junk. Show details
Not the best dishwasher in the world but not the worst – I've had it since new almost 5 years old. Always had an issue with it nit drying the dishes enough and leaving residue on them. Plate separators (2) broke within the first couple of years. Now the pump has died. Wouldn't buy the brand again. Show details
It washes dishes Ok – We've had this for over a year, I think its a rebranded Westinghouse but that is my perception We installed this after our F & P washer gave up the ghost less than 5 years since new, which was a disappointment. It washes OK however I still need to do a bit of drying to get the cups and glasses dry even with the extra dry cycle on the middle… Read more · 1
shelf, We put them in upside down and the upright bottom is still a little wet. I'm not too impressed with the trays the middle tray is shallow for glasses and the spikes don't seem to work on the middle shelf at all , they can be flattened however which is the way we use them fortunately . The bottom shelf is OK for dishes, the trays are built a little light but that is what you get at the price point this sells at. The cutlery draw is great and works well so you may not need to use the utensils cage that comes with it.
OK so its not bad, its not brilliant, but it works fine and has been a reliable machine for the past year or so but if you want better you should pay the $1000 for a Bosch but its ok for us.
Great Product!! – Just purchased this dishwasher and very impressed!I love the adjustable shelf and cutlery draw, it washes really well, i can fit far more in it than with previous brands and love the half load option!! Show reply
Horrible! – Installed the dishwasher two days ago. I have run over six cycles and I can not get rid of a terrible potent chemical smell. I have tried everything including vinegar cycles nothing gets rid of it. Gave up and tried to do some dishes. The shelves don’t take normal plate sizes, the plates were not cleaned and neither was the cutlery and completely soaking wet. Worst dishwasher ever! Also very loud Show details
Look at the facts – Appliances online now only stock one model and it's not listed as one of it's 'best sellers'. I think thta says it all. It's failed after 2 years moderate use (I live by myself). I have to pre-rinse everything otherwise it won't clean. Standard size plates bang into the rotor and don't allow it to spin if they're placed in the standard upright… Read more
position. I was placing them angled downwards just so the washer could work! I had to use every second dish row because if i used every row it would not clean properly.
Happy – 23.6.20 - Spoke to service & H05 is a delay function (thought that when I Googled it). The only thing is there is NO instructions for this in the manual, strange I think! So I'm back to loving the dishwasher. 22.6.20 - It's now 4 months old & I have an error code h05 which is not in the manual. Has been used approximately 4/5 times, can not… Read more
get dishwasher to operate & will have to wait until monday to ring. Now I'm not happy!!
I thought this dishwasher was the same as one I bought 2-3 years ago although I couldn't find a review on my previous dishwasher. I bought as I said thinking it was the same but it is a little different. It's still very quiet, washes well but doesn't seem to dry the items as good as the previous one. Still happy & would recommend this product.
Just under 3 yrs old with Heating element broken & Rinse Aid sensor broken – Very disappointed that the dishwasher is not even 3 yrs old and the heating element is faulty as well as the rinse aid sensor broken. After getting a qualified tech out ($143 later) now to be quoted $320 for the part and labour - may as well buy a new one! Will not be buying a Blanco again! Show details
This is just about ok – can't place dishes directly as they must be partially cleaned otherwise the dishwasher will not clean them properly. Timing is probably a bit too high for one cycle Space is very limited Show details
I bought this Blanco 2 years ago and has completely stopped. What a crappy dishwasher! – This dishwasher is only 2 1/2 years old but has completely stopped working due to a power board failure which is about $300.00 to replace. I had a dishlex that lasted for 15 years with no issues and was only replaced by this blanco which is a total disaster. Show details
So far so good – This is our second Blanco dishwasher which was installed today. Our previous BFD9XP model had not missed a beat for many years and when it recently started to play up, I looked to Blanco again. The Decibel Rating was important to me as I knew the old model was super quiet and this one is super quiet too. I agree with another review that the… Read more
quality of the baskets does not compare to the old model. It's just a matter of getting used to them being lighter. The older model being heavier, meant using more force to open the basket drawers, so pulling the drawer out more slowly in this model really does help. I found that normal dinner plates can be a tight squeeze in the front of the bottom basket depending if you have large pots & pans at the back. There are many removable racks & trays provided which I found unnecessary & once removed made things a lot easier. The height adjustment of top tray & additional horizontal cutlery draw up top is cool. I normally find a wash program I like and use this all the time but I like the idea of being able to choose a bottom or top basket wash cycle and will try this soon. So far so good.
Seems ok – Just bought this dishwasher as a replacement for our previous Blanco BDW 202. Got the old one in 1993 and it's just died after 25 years of faultless service. So after doing some homework and seeing the ratings this machine was getting I decided to go with Blanco again. This new one seems ok. As I say, we've just got it and have only used it… Read more
once. So time will tell.
It washes well and is very quiet.
I have to say that the difference between the construction quality of the old dishwasher and the new one is chalk and cheese. As they say, they don't make them like they used to.
Metal wash arms are now flimsy plastic.
Drawers are light weight and now run on rickety little wheels and the runners are "delicate" as well.
The drawers on the old dishwasher were solid and made to last.
They were removable if you wanted to but the new ones slide and fall out as there's no "stop" built in to the mechanism.
The layout doesn't seem as good as it won't hold as much as the old washer. The way the drawers are arranged doesn't seem very efficient and the prongs of the racks are a lot shorter so tall glasses tend to be unstable.
To fit normal size dinner dishes in the bottom rack, the rack above it has to be raised to its upper position and that means that large-ish items that would fit into the top shelf of the old washer won't fit into this one.
The very top cutlery shelf is a bit of a joke as the runners it sits on are *very* flimsy/wobbly and the shelf falls out of them.
Don't think we'll be using that shelf which leaves us with the cutlery basket which is just over half the size of the old one.
I don't want to appear to be one of those "Back in my day" guys but I really have to say I'm quite shocked at how standards have fallen.
They say that you can expect around six years from a dishwasher these days and for around $600 I suppose it's ok but this whole culture of planned obsolescence is just wrong.
Look, this machine is ok and washes well but looking at the construction quality and combined with the computer chip control, I would expect that guesstimate of around a six year life to be about right.
It will probably last around 1/4 of the life of the old one.
Pity Blanco joined the herd and took the cheap and disposable route.

A well priced excellent dishwasher with a cutlery drawer! – We purchased this dishwasher as a replacement for another Blanco which finally gave up the ghost after years of use. It washes well. Is easy to use. Has an excellent feature of a cutlery drawer which once you have had you will never go back. It has given us no trouble in the 3 years we have had it. Show details
Excellent in every way – Machine is quiet and has many settings to choose from. Paid a good price at appliances online. Dishes always come out dry and clean. Seems to chew through the rinse aid, but the results are excellent so I don't care. The cutlery tray is an added bonus and the whole setup can be modified easily to accommodate different items. Highly recommended. Show details
Good reliable dishwasher – Washes well and has several choices of cycle including a 30 minute wash which I use. It is quiet and economical with water and powder. I like being able to choose the temperature and length of the cycle. It fits a large amount of dishes and has space for large platters or pots. A very good everyday dishwasher. Show details
Love this dishwasher – Bought this dishwasher in August 2016 and I can honestly say it's one of those purchases I have been extremely happy with. Everything comes out sparkling clean and dry, with just a tiny bit of moisture around the lip of some pIastics which is perfectly normal with any dishwasher. Usually I put it on at night and then forget about it til morning,… Read more
but I do, however, always use the extra dry option to my most commonly used cycle which does add about 10 minutes to the wash but that's far preferable than having to leave the door open, as instructions said to do with my previous dishwasher, in order to have things moderately dry. This dishwasher has a cutlery tray at the top and a basket for the bottom shelf and everything is easily removable or adjustable giving so many variations and has numerous wash options. And it's so quiet that there are times during it's cycle when i have to check that it's on. Seems to have a rather large rinse aid compartment as I don't find I need to constantly fill it. I also love the rinse aid indicator on the outside of the panel so you always see when it needs refilling..
Pros. Everything about it is great.
Cons. None so far
