Poor clean and not dry – Very dissapointed. Poor clean and the dishes are always dripping wet after wash. Filter is constantly needing a clean and glasses are cloudy bo matter how i set the rinse aid levels. And takes so much longer than our old dishwasher. Setout is poor. You can move the top level, but unless it is on the highest setting the plates hit the top washer. Not recommended.  Show details

Deeply disappointed with so-called "prestigious European appliance" - Blanco dishwasher - AND their – Hello. I find this site very helpful, so hope this helps you. Deeply disappointed after having moved into a nine year old home with so-called "prestigious European appliances" to find my [nine year old] Blanco Dishwasher is a very poor comparison with my 15 year old Asko (in the home I moved from). Notwithstanding the fact that I kept… Read more

my Asko in perfect clean condition, and the Blanco I inherited was not, I cleaned and disinfected and again cleaned my 'newer' Blanco, AND I run the machine at 120 (which I believe is the highest level), with top line Finish dishwasher tabs, and yet... Ceramic and glassware and even cutlery do not emerge clean, unless I rinse off ALL these things under a tap first, or wash them manually first. Remnants of food stick on the cups and saucers. I get really clean results ONLY if I rinse everything off first, as well as also needing to wash my stuff in the dishwasher virtually after every meal (and there's only two of us). A dish or plate with gravy that has sat on the sink for more than 12 hours will not come out clean.

But wait, there's more.

My Asko used to completely dry everything after each wash - a combination of heat and blower I presume. Well the Blanco gives a poor imitation of this process. Simply put, the top tray comes out wet. Glasses, dishes, plastic ware, the tops do not drain of their water, and the insides are damp too.

Finally, I am not a fussy boy, but the layout of the Blanco in no way matches the efficiency of the Asko's interior. The top sliding tray of the Asko felt far more stable and secure, the plastic cutlery 'holders' fitted far better into the Asko, and I seemed to be able to fit far more into the Asko, despite their outside dimensions being roughly the same.

Oh, on the plus side, the Blanco is quiet. So was the Asko, but the Blanco is even quieter - and sadly it's probably because it isn't doing as thorough a job.

So if you have a choice, *don't buy a Blanco*, especially over an Asko. And don't fall for the "prestigious European appliances" crud, unless you are sure it works better. AND if you've got a problem, tell them, and then share it here. I did both.

Have a great day.

I would like to add a PS - a post script.

The owners of the Blanco brand today did exactly what I was upset about. They told me to contact a service company and PAY for a service if I was unhappy with their product. That is exactly what I said I was additionally upset about - namely that I have a crap product in Blanco, and they want ME to pay for them to come out, look at my thoroughly clean machine, check all it's calibrations, and then confirm I have a crap Blanco dishwasher.

There's this thing you've probably all heard about called 'Customer experience', and all the biggies (from banks to phone companies to whitegoods to...) all want to measure their consumers' 'Customer Experience'. They want to know if you would recommend the brand.

I do NOT recommend this brand, Blanco. I think you should avoid this brand. They don't care about their customers, so I am letting them know we don't like companies that don't care about us.

Be well.

AWESOME!!! – I have had no troubles at all with my Blanco dishwasher! I have had it for 10 years and have not had to do anything to it. It does not make any issues with noise when running, dishes come out clean, however I make sure there is no food on the plates and I clean mine regularly!

Excellent – I have used this unit for a long time now and touch wood no issues like other reviews. It washes brilliantly and doesn't make a lot of noise when running which was a problem for our old dishlex. Using the strongest wash ensures everything is cleaned properly and because the unit uses about 16L of water a wash it is still water efficient but gives… Read more

a rinse where the water is relatively clean and everything turns out nice. No problems technically, washes well, EXTREMELY QUIET, condenser drying system dries better than a fan. the height adjustable top basket it a bit flimsy.

Terrible – In a word - LEMON! Blanco products used to be great but not now. Very expensive for a machine that lasts only 2 years and can't be repaired. Fairly quiet and you can move the shelves and cutlery basket around Doesn't clean very well. Needs filter cleaning after almost every wash even when dishes are rinsed first. Expensive. Flimsy handle -… Read more

broke after about 6y months normal use and too expensive and difficult to buy a replacement (you have to order and pay and then they send it some weeks later). Dinner plates from my everyday dinnerset don't fit no matter how the shelves are configured, so I have to wash them by hand. A child's bead somehow ended up in the machine and got into the mnotor (cost $250 to have someone come out to remove it and now the dishwasher doesn't wash propery, doesn't drain, etc.) I'm in the country and when rang the preferred Blanco repairer in my area he asked me to have a plumber uninstall my machine so I could bring it to him for repair!

Terrible – Have to pre rinse before loading to ensure good clean. Very unhappy with having the machine supported by retailer when I'm sure this problem is known to them. "vermin". I wouldn't say we have a cockroach problem and it's a pity it doesn't hold up to "normal" conditions.

To get fixed by repairer is $200 plus. To by part to DYI it is still $90 dollars for a rubber seal.

Bad – Worked OK for the first couple of years, but very expensive at the time I bought it and really didn't wash or dry any better than the much cheaper F&P I had previously (The F&P was still working fine, I just wanted to update to S/Steel). Technician said it was a very expensive machine to repair and recommended I replace it instead. What a waste of… Read more

money. Would not recommend and would not buy again. Control panel easy to use, quiet operation. Expensive for the quality of washing/drying. Too expensive to repair.
