RUSTY BLANCO dish baskets!! – The dish baskets RUST within minimum use. Due to extenuating circumstances and although the dishwasher was barely used, the dish baskets became very rusty within a few months. Blanco (Shriro) insisted the product was 3out of warranty and refused to replace for goodwill, considering it was barely used. Consequently I and family will never purchase any of the company's products e.g. Blanco, Everdure, Omega, Casio etc.

Do not buy - product is unreliable! – We inherited our Blanco dishwasher as part of a townhouse we purchased as a rental property a couple of years back. Needless to say the dishwasher broke down just past the noted (supposed) warranty period. When asked, Blanco would not respond to even see what the problem was. The dishwasher simply would not work and was stuck on the initial cycle and will not progress (no washing of the dishes whatsoever). We have now organised for a repair. Clearly the product is unreliable, but more importantly the after sales service and lack of support for the product is abysmal. I would highly recommend going with a different make to Blanco.

Update: This dishwasher has now (Jan 2021) broken down and needs major repair to both the PCB shaft and the attached dial, which was broken; as well as replacing the PCB (power circuit board) itself, which was faulty. Extremely difficult to get parts and the repair was expensive (around $670). From our experience the product thus had an effective useful life of 6.5 years (typically 9-16 is the norm) as then it either needs to be replaced or substantial major reconstructive work done. Hence, especially for the initial price tag ($1,100) the life of this product is poor. Blanco parts seem hard to come by too, which makes repair difficult, problematic and arguably uneconomical. It is unclear how long the repair will last. This reinforces the recommendation above and based on this experience would be reluctant to purchase an updated Blanco dishwasher model.

Blanco Slimline DWF45X – We purchased this for a couple of reasons. Our new townhouse kitchen was all Blanco products and the slimline is perfect for installation as only took 1 cupboard rather than the wider models which would of taken more space. This was important to me as not to loose value storage in kitchen and not to take over the kitchen on appearance. My plates are standard size and they hit the top however this does not seem to stop the quality of the wash. This suits our 3person family. Any bigger for us you would wash every 2 days and then run risk of getting that awful smell from dishes sitting too long dirty as well hardening surfaces. Has some slight running noise but what would expect. Thus far very happy with this dishwasher.

If you find the arms are hitting your plates from the tops tray. The top tray has an extra set of grey rollers on it. Remove the grey ends to the side that holds the top tray in. Lift it out and put on second set of rollers. Flick the grey end tray holders back in place. Slimline takes up only one cupboard when installed Nothing I can think of at present

love love love – Love this. I purchased it new and installed it myself in my small galley kitchen. Chose this model because my kitchen space is small and I could put it in the back of my car to move it. It is efficient. I love small appliances. Standard plates don't fit in the lower tray. I sourced smaller plates which suits me fine. Compact and convenient. I've owned this model for over 12 months as at 2015. Hasn't had any issues or problems.

Compact and efficient – Due to a remodelling of my kitchen I had to change from a 60cm full size dishwasher to this 45cm model. The size is perfect as it enabled me to increase my useable cupboard area. It is also perfect size for holding dishes of 2 people for one day. It is simple to use and the instructions provided are generous. Also Blanco Australia's customer service line is very prompt and courteous should you have any questions. My only criticism is that the water noises are slightly higher than my previous dishwasher (Bosch) which was ultra quiet. It is hard to have a conversation in the kitchen standing right next to the dishwasher but I have been using the 2nd setting which lasts only half an hour so not that long to put up with the noise. I tried the 3rd cycle - the eco one - it went on for nearly 2 hrs so don't recommend choosing it! Ideal size & good customer service water noise
