Jumping through hoops to try stop giving them money – As many have said previously, avoid this company at all costs. Liek many, I didn't realise I was still getting money debited from an old account, never received any communication that I still had an active account, and then had to jump through so many hoops to cancel my service that I haven't used in over 10 years. To then ask why I wanted to… Read more

cancel despite me clearly explaining this in my original correspondence was infuriating. Their reason for no refund is 'they buy the internet data from Optus, so have to pass on that costs regardless of whether the data is used'. Every email correspondence had a different name that I was 'speaking to', at one point they even forgot to say they were for Blink and were another company! Glad to be done with them finally (hopefully!)

Terrible behaviour – I decided not to renew when my credit card expired but instead of cutting off the service the team threatened me with sending debt collectors . When I asked them to cancel the service they would not do it till I paid the $20 the charged me for a service I did not want. This is essentially extortion. They were technically correct. I signed up to… Read more

pay until cancelling, but the whole thing could have been avoided with some common sense . their behaviour would lead me to never deal with them again.

Worst customer service possible. Don't sign up to anything with this company – Signed up via Harvey Norman to a contract 10yrs ago, but was not aware they were still charging us monthly on our business credit card. They did not attempt to contact us anytime during this period to ask why we were not using the service, but happy to keep billing us. They stated they didn't not have our contact details?????

Was Reliable Service – I had previously used Blink mobile broadband for a couple of years. Actually found the support staff very approachable and I never had to wait too long on the phone for responses. The actual broadband service was reliable and I rarely experienced any dropouts. Any problems that way, they were soon to respond if I left an email message or rang. I… Read more

recall being in hospital once for an extended period after sustaining injuries, and I was able to negotiate with support staff for some extra gigs at very economical rate given my predicament. Staff were very considerate of my situation and generous. When I swapped to another service, again there was no problems in communication and cancelling my Blink account was done without hassles.

My Blink – I have broadband, and it was quick to set up. I do get drop outs, but usually get back on reasonably quickly. The customer service, billing + tech help is always there when you need it, excellent !  Show details

Worst Experience Ever – Too bad there is no 0 rating, one star is a complement in this case, it is simply the worst experience I've ever had. The customer service is offshore in India and the reps attitude is so bad, he is so lucky that he does not live in OZ, otherwise i would've tracked him down. Three times I ask for escalation and to speak to a manager and they keep… Read more

telling me he will call you back... Never happened. You better off to stay with no internet rather than getting this service. it's a shame that we have such crap company to be called Australian.

Shameless exploitation – My 89 year old pensioner parents have been hoodwinked into signing up for a service they do not use- the internet. For many years money has been paid each month to these shameful exploiters.

Blink shame on you! – Be careful of this company for many years they have been taking money out of my account, I don’t use their service. I bought one of the Internet dongle’s years ago and don’t use their services. They have been slyly taking money out of my account. No good company

if i could give 0 stars i would – absolutely disgusting company. Got 2 internet dongles from them 7 years ago. Tried to cancel years ago then find out they're still taking my money. 4 years worth of payments and i haven't even got the dongles any more. Apparently they don't check if someone isn't using a product. No email or nothing to say hey, we've noticed you haven't used… Read more

this service for x amount of time, are there issues? not even received one email from them. Yes i know i signed a contract but the principal of the matter is this company has been taking my money for years for a product I haven't used for 4 years, and they were more than happy to keep taking the money. I know the onus is on my head for not checking earlier, but I find it absolutely disgusting they didn't even care that they'd been taking my money for years without the product even being used. offered no compensation or any apologies. its the PRINCIPAL. Ugghhhh I hope you go out of business quick smart, now that you won't be taking any more of my 'free money'.

BLINK Internet - Do not sign or accept when offered to you by a IT reseller no matter how attractive – Was offered the service by Reseller Harvey Norman when buying a laptop 4 years ago. Not much information given. Also not much paperwork provided. Only the person was good salesperson and it was cheap. He must have received a pretty good commission for every one he could sign up on. Luckily was only around $10 pm that was deducted monthly direct… Read more

from bank acct. Stopped using them after one year and have tried in vain to find way to contact and cancel. Bit hard when you don't know your account etc. So eventually they sent out letter to collect late payment and that is how managed at long last after 3 years to cancel. Warning and word of advice - people should not sign up to anything that they do not get paperwork for even no matter how attractive or cheap the cost etc. Make sure you are in control of the sign up and get paperwork for it and you have a way to contact to cancel etc. However during the period of the use - first 6 months was ok but then not ok as needed to upgrade etc and lack of contact and paperwork did not help hence why stopped using after 6 months of sign up. So yes having been paying $10 pm for 3 and half years for non usage &t they definitely benefited from non usage for that time.

Theives! – I had a situation where I couldn’t access my email account and changed my mobile phone so I had no details to go with. I had tried repeatedly to cancel my blink internet because it was not used at all but it wasn’t until today that someone actually gave me the information I needed and a phone number to call that I got anywhere. according to their Terms and Conditions I should have been aware of it.

How the hell would I be aware of it if I had no access to communications from blink and had changed all of my details?

So Blink charged me $49 for YEARS before I could get to actually cancel my account and they say it’s my fault as I should have known!

No!

Sorry!

Not my fault at all!

They had access to my home address and SHOULD have made an effort to contact me!

Blink should have reimbursed me!

Terrible customer service and cancellation policy – Agree with others who have had issues with cancellation and Blink continuing to take fees, despite request to cancel. I was also unaware that I had overdue fees until I got an email from their debt collector, which I naturally assumed was spam. I then tried to clear this up with Blink and just got push back and poor customer service. I don’t usually write reviews but this has been the worst experience ever. Don’t go with Blink.  Show details

Extremely dishonest – I had a plan with this company for twelve months and used little of the data in this period as my place of employment paid for my Data usage.I was willing to accept this as this was no fault of BLINK.Being extremely busy working, I had not realized that after the expiration of the 12 month plan, this company continued to deduct money upwards of 15… Read more

months after the plan expired. I made many phone calls and was told they would reimburse $38. This company is extremely fraudulent and I will be taking this up with the Ombudsman. As the plan was $79.00 per month, they have made an extremely tidy profit with no data usage during this time. Do not have any dealings with this company. The plan was organised through Harvey Norman when purchasing a product. Will never again deal with this Fraudulent Company.

The most dishonest company I've had to deal with – Gone to the Ombudsman...this is the worst customer service, I cancelled my blink plan a year ago & have just found out a couple of months ago after being hounded by a debt collector that no-one ever cancelled my plan and apparently they had no record of the call. I've been charged without using any of their data. Payments have still been coming… Read more

out of my account No data has been used & at no point was anyone looking to help me with my situation over the phone, just rude customer service. Very sneaky company who know how to exploit their customers. I've since been to the Ombudsman & instead of me paying the 59.90 that Blink had put into the debt collectors hands to get off me, they have had to pay me over $200 that they fraudulently took out of my account. If you have a debt collector ringing you telling you that you owe them money after you have cancelled, report them straight to the Ombudsman...This seems to be happening to a lot of people...AVOID BLINK...

Scammed and theft – Prepaid wifi month to month basis. After I cancelled my account with 12 months later a debt collector emailed saying I owed 89.90. Wanting to clear it off my credit history I paid it thinking it might have been a cancelation fee. Two days later I received another debt collector letter for 59.95. I rang the debt collector and because I paid the… Read more

last amount Blink states that my account is activated and can con tone to charge. I rang blink who state I never cancelled. I still have the sorry to lose you here's a survey email they sent me, but they say that's not proof enough. They then would not let me cancel unless I paid. National merchant and Blink are thieves and I would never recommend them to anyone. Terrible!

Fraudulent use of bank account details. Police should arrest this bunch of crooks – I undertook a wifi service with blink of which I was not dissatisfied with. After about 3 years, I stood on the wifi dongle and snapped it. I shopped around to get a replacement but soon realised I would have to buy through them. So I ordered and paid for a new dongle. This arrived 10 days later, which was as long as they said it would take. I… Read more

commenced with my internet connection immediately as it had been 10 days since I logged in. Alas the dongle did not work in any of the 4 ports in my laptop, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling etc etc but to no avail.

I then rang blink and then the real trouble began. I asked for a replacement to be sent out. They denied it was faulty and claimed that I must of damaged it in some way and the only way to get a replacement was to purchase another. I stood my ground and politely insisted it was faulty. They then advised I could post it back to them at my expense for an inspection. I had tried other devices in my laptop ports so I knew it wasn't the laptop. I then advised them to cancel the month to month direct debit to my account of which they advised they had done. Note, there was no contract, only a month to month which I was told and read in the fine print could be cancelled at anytime. I kept the dongle because based on the phone call I had I wouldn't get my money back anyway.

The next month another payment was taken, I called and complained, they confirmed the service was cancelled and would investigate why the payment was taken. No response from them to date.

Yesterday yet another payment was taken. I again called and asked why. This time they asked for a receipt number for the cancellation. Why I wasn't given previously. They said their records showed that the call dropped out. This is simply not true. So I cancelled the service for a third time today, received the "receipt" number. I also requested full refunds on the previous direct debits since the original cancellation. Again they said they would look into it.

I then laid a formal complaint with the telecommunications ombudsman as this is surely fraudulent use of my bank account details.

Note also. My bank The Commonwealth said they couldn't stop the direct debits and to sort it out with blink.

Seems like collusion if you ask me

Avoid At All Costs – Avoid these people at all costs. My business had two wireless accounts with them for numerous years which I had forgotten about. I told them that I wished to cancel the service because we no longer… Read more

used it. He/she agreed to this. They insisted on getting the details of my new debit card over the phone but I refused, advising them that we would pay it by EFT. They eventually agreed to email the two latest invoices to me for payment which we paid a week or two afterwards.

Just after we made this payment they contacted my Office Manager (didn't try to contact me) trying to get my new debit card details without my authority. Fortunately, my Office Manager refused. Had she not done this they would have debited my new card without my knowledge and authority and probably would have commenced monthly debits.

A short time later they then contacted me and advised me that I never cancelled the services and that the next month was now due. I told them to listen to the original phone conversation I had with them (they are all recorded) to confirm that I cancelled the service but they refused. They have also refused to cancel the account stating meaning that I will continue to receive invoices despite cancelling the account.

Another warning; you need to cancel your account with them at the end of the term, otherwise it will continue.

FYI, they are also known as Mobile Wireless Broadband Pty Ltd ABN 14 611 988 071.

Dont sign up with this company – Yet another example of money hungry organization with no interest in the person, 'the customer'. Such a disappointing outcome with complete disregard to cancelling a account despite it not being used for several years and only making contact with the customer once a payment was missed. Show some integrity, it is not always 'black and white'.  Show details

Scam Scam – UGH. I've just realised I've been paying for this "service" since May 2011!! As it must have come from a package (with contract) from Harvey Norman! So yeah, sign a contract, make sure there's no hidden fees or crap like this >0(

Edit: I've now cancelled the service I was quite clearly never using, had to call twice to get a statement sent to my email. However once I called again and politely (mad as I am I'm always polite) asked for it to be sent ASAP (as I needed this for a loan application) I received the statement within four hours which I think was quite fast. I also asked for a statement of closure which I received immediately. Credit where it is due. I would still avoid this mob like the plague though.

I refused to pay for a service I hadn't used.
