BlueAnt X3

Overall, I'm disappointed with the BlueAnt X3, which, in my opinion, does not meet the BlueAnt marketed hype of "...booming audio output and powerful bass you can feel..." is made is well insulated or made of a sound reflecting material, like concrete, brick, etc.. If I use the speaker on my tiled bathroom floor, against an insulated wall, the sound that the speaker generates is contained and reflected, and it sounds great, but put the speaker out in the open or just on a desk somewhere and it sounds shallow.
The woofers are on the end and seem to generate the lower frequencies out sideways. On the top left of the unit is a bass boost button, which must be pressed every time you turn the unit on in order to become active.
The unit plays startup and shutdown sounds, neither of which can be silenced, nor turned up or down. The unit does not automatically shut down after being idle for any given time.
There is an AUX input, plus it allows 1x bluetooth connection. The power connector is USBC, and there are small white lights to indicate the current battery status next to the power button.
In the centre top of the unit there are 3 buttons, volume down, play, and volume up. Beneath the unit there are 2 sturdy rubber feet.
If I knew what I know now before I bought it, I wouldn't buy this speaker again.
