This product turned by white t-shirts to t-shirts that are tainted blue. Very disappointing as I followed the soaking instructions carefully. Use with caution. Show details

Lime or harsh water – I live in an area with harsh water which leaves whites yellow. On lid full of blue stops this. Show details

I love this – I have used this all my life... I don't know what others are doing to turn their clothes blue. Nothing like user error. Use a very little, pre-dilute, do not pour directly onto clothes. You only need about a teaspoonful in a wash full of whites, if that, depending on materials. White towels, lots of surface area? A full teaspoon, diluted. Thin… Read more

cottons? maybe a half to two thirds that. Don't blame the product, learn how to use it.

Back when I used to starch hubby's business shirts, I would combine bluo into the starch rinse for that blinding white. His workmates used to ask how his shirts were whiter than the Osmond's teeth, lol.

This is perfect to keep my whites WHITE!, – My Grandmother used this, and I’ve kept the tradition going. If only it was more accessible, my daughters would use it too. However, I too am finding it hard to come by. I’m 66yo.

Worst product in History – This stuff is basically plumbers blue glue advertised as a clothing whitening product. It leaves blue stains on skin, on the washing machine itself…and if it comes in contact with clothing (that it’s meant to be whitening) it completely ruins it! Show details

Great traditional laundry product – I, and my mother and grandmother before me, have used this great old product and its precursor, blue bags, for as long as I can remember. Bluo really works and definitely gives whites extra brightness when added to rinse water. I'm really disappointed that it is no longer available in my local Woolworths store - big black mark against Woolies,… Read more

as they don't offer an alternative. I'll buy from Coles as Bluo is an essential in my laundry. Blue bags (haven't seen those for many years) were wonderful for insect strings - I remember only too well Mum holding a moistened blue bag on my neck when I was stung by paper wasps when I was a kid one time - very painful and traumatic!!!

Good on you Coles for keeping this product – Woolworths has done it again, taken another good item off the shelves. Always used for white wash and dabbed on mozzie bites and stings. Thankfully Coles still supplies this item. Show details

New Bluo - Poor Quality – I hadn't seen this product in Woollies for a while and was compelled to use substitutes which were nowhere near as good. Then I saw the new product packaging in Coles and excitedly bought a bottle but the new formulation is nothing like the old. The sheets have come out with an overall blue-grey hue with feature spots of darker blue-grey. … Read more

Disappointingly the product is no longer made in Australia but manufactured in China. Three generations of my family have used this product but sadly I won't be purchasing it any more!

Good product not so good now – Recently just bought a new bottle and it has changed the bottle style the spout and it so thin the liquid now I tend to over use it It's a shame when companies do this

EXCELLENT – I had a garment made from white woven wool that I had inadvertently bleached (yellow) when trying to remove a stain. I soaked in Bluo for two hours, and it corrected it. Absolutely perfect, you'd never know (and in fact I think it's whiter than before)! Now I'm wondering what else I can soak in bluo. This stuff is amazing.

Simply The Best For Whitening Your Whites – I have been using the original bluo for about 15 years and swear by it, your whites come out pure white. Make sure you follow the instructions on the bottle and you will see a difference. The bottle will last you for at least 12 months. I have noticed there is a change in the instructions since purchasing my new bottle, you can pour direct into… Read more

the machine with your washing detergent if you have a front loader machine.

My last bottle I had you had to mix it in a jug of water and then poured it in, the new instructions are better.

I also noticed that if you used fabric softner with your whites, the results were not the same, so give the fabric softner a miss. It whitens your clothes, lasts forever, not expensive and i have to have it in my laundry.
