Piping Hot Full Flavoured Fresh Coffee - with a couple of minor caveats – The world over is full of people who complain that their coffee after brewing is just not hot enough. Plungers lose temperature from the moment you start, coffee makers dont start that hot, and rapidly oxidise and ruin the flavour of coffee, expresso's don't make enough of the good stuff and are prone to cleanup problems if not immediately tended to (while your coffee is getting cold). All these problems have been resolved with this vacuum coffee brewing system from Bodum.

Enter the Pebo - astonishingly full flavoured coffee produced quickly without horrid oxidised aftertaste. Just lots of boiling hot fresh fabulous coffee.

You have to be a little careful that it doesn't topple when the water is boiling up into the top cavity - a simmer plate for stability is probably a good idea on most gas stoves. The filter's spring and beaded pull string, despite being made from stainless steel, does tend to snap off after repeated use - making it difficult to 'load' the spring to hold the filter in place. Luckily filter replacements are cheap at around $AU8.

Being glass, it is effortless to clean, with openings wide enough for even my chunky hands to be able to clean well with a dishcloth.

Easily the best coffee I have ever had comes from this machine, and it comes out piping hot. I'm in coffee nirvana.

Perfect cup of coffee on old brewing technology – I bought this product online from Kambos online and got it 3 days after as it was shipped from over the Eastern States. The product is all heat tempered clear glass and made in Portugal, the pouring handle, cover and filter is made of durable plastic. It is easy to prep, just add the right amount of water to the 2nd flask (either 6 or 8 cups level), put on the top flask filter and hook the chain to the end of the funnel, add the desired measure of ground beans, put it on the stove top and in 8-10 minutes you get really nice tasting coffee. The design for the vacuum brewer is really cool and it's easy to clean all parts.

Coffee alchemy – I prefer a filter coffee over expresso and the PEBO is perfect. The flavour is so much better than plunger or an electric coffee maker. Making the coffee is fun too!

Great Coffee – What a discovery. I wish I had found this 20 years ago instead of stuffing around with expensive machines! Makes a great cup of coffee and is simple to use - I don't know how anyone could get it to not work. The character of the coffee is different to espresso not as heavy or concentrated but with an excellent balance of flavour. It might take some people a while to get used to this style of coffee. Great when you want a larger quantity of coffee - when entertaining or at breakfast time. Nothing to fault. Use a diffuser if you have a gas stove. Obviously it won't work on induction stoves.
