A great bike/Scooter – 2012 model bought in 2019 with 40000km on it and have put 20k on it since. bought just before COVID to do daily commute into city which never eventuated. while initially not liking its looks i have warmed to it and once a touring windscreen was added found it to be most comfortable - can ride it all day comfortably (i am 178cm) and the weather… Read more

protection is good. I have toured Tasmania and South Australia on it and it can do highway speeds comfortably and has never let me down.

Well Made & Well done – I have had sMY Firenze for 10 years & done 50,000 km in it, well done Fir! I travel the Motorway & keep up with traffic & still able to accelerate when needed. Traveled to work on it for several years & always performed exceptional. Show details

This is more than a scooter – I already wrote a review before about my scooter Sym Firenze 300! here. I would like to write more about the scooter because it’s more than a scooter. I done 2 long trips with my scooter (Canberra to Adelaide via Great Ocean road and all around the Tasmania from Canberra). Each trip were around 3200 Km with 10 Days. I didn’t have any issues to… Read more

drive on highway with 115 kmph. I drove the scooter form Melbourne to Canberra in 10 hours. So the scooter is a great bike and I never used as a scooter. I did a few camping trip too with the scooter. It has enough space to put a camping things for a person.

Love it – I have had one for six years now . It's very good at take off . But I have just had it stolen and am looking. Forward to getting another as soon as I can. Because the tank is so great as it holds 12/1-2 ltes of petrol. And I can do a comfortable 300 klms with it its so good to handle too

My daily ride - Super comfy, but no drag superstar – Big comfy seat. Huge underseat storage. Goes pretty well, but nothing too amazing there. Will get up to 100kph easily and its happy to sit there. Very easy to do your own oil changes. Not sure what the purpose of the button to open the seat is, as it only works when the ignition is on, so you are presumably sitting on it???

Excellent engine – I've had this bike for 4 years now with 29k on and engine, frame, seat, riding position are excellent. However getting parts for plastics, engine, tyres suspension are terrable and expensive, but getting wear and tear parts such as brakes, rollers, belts, light bulbs, are cheap to get from eBay to install your self. It will go to a top speed of… Read more

120km depending on rider weight I'm 91kgs and that's the top speed it will do on my 6 foot frame. I have changed the roller weights too sliders as to increase accelleration which also gives less top speed by 10 kms an hour too 110kph.

All in all very good bike too maintain and run however beware if you try to get parts from your local shop where you except to get parts straight away they will only have 25% parts available and if you order them they will advise you 3-8 weeks if they don't have it in Melbourne HQ for parts It will take 1-2 weeks if they do from Melborne HQ They will only order in a crate for the spicified part and will not order it individually from Taiwan either from factory or a shop supplier from Taiwan even if you try too pay extra for the part to be delivered ASAP that's the big down side.

One of the best 250-300cc scooters – Have had three Italian scooters in each case costing substantially more - this Sym really is value for money. The asian manufacturers have had a big think and responded to what scooter riders want and will like. Easy and smooth handling, good brakes (lh lever progressively applies front and rear for improved stopping) - very comfortable with lower… Read more

lumbar support for both rider and pillion and foot rests that extend to the front of the footwell mimic foot pegs on a motorcycle and give a welcome range of feet positions. High handle bars clear the knees of tall rider and 12l tank means trips to the bowser are a good way apart (say 400km), side and centre stands, easy to park - excellent features - check pros and cons. Looks cool, esp in white. Sharp handling, comfort for rider and passenger, screen very good up to 90 kph, 12v socket and hatch to recharge devices, good u/s storage and electric button to open, twist in mirrors for filtering, properly adjustable in their shells, 3 year warranty, good visable lights Wind over windshield after 90 kph, short service intervals and no spin off oil filter (only a stainer) so oil changes every 3000 km

Excellent – fantastic bike.. often at bargain prices second hand.. go for it! absolute reliability.. cheap to run.. comfy ride.. looks great i rode from Singapore to thailand on this this bike.. and i just bought another one here in Aus.. its the most comfy ride i ever had.. more power and comfort.. similar looks.. to the Piaggio X9.. love this bike! service… Read more ·  1

KM.. interestingly the asian version of this bike is serviced every 6000km.. on my malaysian bike the stainless steel guard for the muffler fell off on the highway and went through some poor bastards windscreen.. no one was hurt and cost less than $100 to replace..

OK – I bought one of these after 28 years away from 2 wheels, although I had never had a scooter before, only conventional bikes. Basically I wanted an all-rounder but not to spend too much in case I didn't get on with biking again. I also liked the idea of no chain to clean and oil, plus the convenience of built-in weather protection and storage for a… Read more

helmet, etc. My impression after 3 months is that I should either have got a more urban model (lighter and more economical) or a real bike to cope with highways. However much power a scooter has, its rearward weight distribution and bulky bodywork tend to make it unstable in sidewinds (some more than others, a friend with a Burgman 250 reports the same problem though). Overall, the Bolwell (SYM in other markets) is a reasonable compromise and quite well put together. If you are a perfectionist though, you might want to look elsewhere although you would probably have to pay quite a bit more to get what you want. Well-equipped, smooth transmission, good (linked) brakes, pulls away quickly enough without any hesitation, handles well around town (except at very low speeds), good lighting, possibility of feet-forward riding position, pillion rider has good foot-rests and plenty of room, reasonable price, stores a full-face helmet (but see cons) plus a fair bit more; seat is supported by a hydraulic stay too. Separate lock for under-seat storage which is too shallow for some full-face helmets (check yours first), seat not very comfortable and slightly slippery, a bit thirsty (5l/100m), tremendous turbulence from screen at only 50 mph, very unstable in side-winds (affects most GT scooters I believe), front suspension very soft and lacks travel while rear suspension is pretty firm, location of hazard light switch makes them unusable while riding, I find it looses stability at very low speeds with a pillion on the back (on a manual bike you can slip the clutch to counteract this. Position of rear-view mirrors gives a very restricted field of vision while also making the scooter wider than normal (blind-spot mirrors are only a partial solution). It feels a little heavy at times

Excellent – The scooter itself....great....the service intervals pathetic. If Bowell were to increase the service to 7000kl there wouldn't be a scooter come near to it. Excellent fuel economy. Very Comfortable ride (I weigh 106 kg). Fast enough, even with my weight to leave most cars at the lights and easy to get around in city traffic. I do 50Kl a day on… Read more

it and could not fault it. Cheapest scooter in it's class, bought mine new for $5990. Like everyone who has or will ever own one of these the pathetic service intervals and the cost of servicing...$86 to change 1ltr of oil and $300 every 3000KL and more every second service. Come on Bolwell in this day and age that is rubbish...should be at least every 7-10000 kl

Good – Love it a lot good for first timers, it will put a smile on your face and take off at the lights will leave the cars behind but buyer beware that it will make you want a bigger scooter like a Suzuki burgman AN650 which is more money again so if you would like a cheap bike then buy this one YOU WILL LOVE IT TOO :) ride safe!!!!!! This scoota is the… Read more

one that i picked out of a lot and yes i love it, it is fast, quiet, no gears, heaps of storage under the seat with buil in light, glove box with 12v and lock, light weight 173kg, easy in peak hour trafic to zig zag, takes 2 fat people (bit slow)ha ha, adjustable rear suspension, lights on the bike are good for city riding and the high beam is A1, led tail light and fold away mirrors. The mirrors are not that good for a person who is tall like me (i am 6 foot 2 and 108kg) the front brakes are not the best little bit noisy need aftermarket brake pads to improve performance, the cup holder clips that lock it have broken! could improve. The screen at the front could be bigger, cornering is good but the bolts on the mufler keep hitting the ground i have to remember it is not a sports bike :)
