I really wanted to give zero stars. RUN DO NOT BUY BONAIRE. Warranty is non-existent. I am a warranty agent for them and am trying to get parts for a 5yr old split, it's been 4months and no parts. I WILL never install a bonaire product ever again. Buy another brand please.
Air conditioning system was installed less than 3 years ago and stopped working during the January heatwave in Melbourne. It took 3 hours on hold to get through to call center to request a warranty repair. 10 days later their repair guy came out without any parts. It's now approaching 5 weeks and still no idea when it will be fixed and their… Read more
customer service have no interest in helping.
I'm not sure if it's a deliberate ploy by the company to force us to repair it ourselves and pay for it.
They are generic parts which are available at any electrical wholesaler in Melbourne and cost less than $200.
Would never go near another Bonaire product again. A matter of when a failure will occur not when. Over the warranty period a total of in excess of 10 callouts a lot of which was repeated pump issues, circuit board and dump valves. As luck would have it 3 months outside of warranty another pump seizure and Bonaire until escalating wanted to… Read more
charge a callout thankfully this was waived which in reality should be the case given the sketchy unreliable nature of this unit.
Trying to escalate anything through customer service is pointless, always a promise but never deliver, still waiting on a response from early April 2025 after my mother was charged in excess of $700 to have a repeated issue resolved - it must be still being investigated internally.
No response to cash back promotion – I bought the aircon and was promised a cash back - 2 months later I am still waiting. Repeated calls and emails go unanswered. The cash back is really compensation offered as the motors are noisy in some models and have to be replaced under warranty. Still no cash back received - very poor form and communication by Bonaire
Bonaire Pinnacle is a great product but warranty parts take up to 4 weeks – On the 19/01/2018 we purchased a Bonaire Pinnacle PEH220 from Holloway Air Bendigo and were absolutely delighted with the installation, service, operation and, competitive price. On January 7th 2023 I sent a follow up email to Holloway Air stating my Bonaire Pinnacle PEH220 was no longer working and required warranty/repair. Following a service… Read more
call from Holloway Air to repair my Bonaire Evaporative cooler, I was informed that it would take up to 4 weeks to receive the required parts from Bonaire to fix my Bonaire Evaporative cooler.
After waiting 4 weeks for the parts from Bonaire, the Holloway Air Technician informed me that the new control board required a 5 pin plug and my motor had a 4 pin plug. The Service Technician rang Bonaire to ascertain if they could shed light on how to resolve this issue but after waiting 20 minutes on the phone to speak to Bonaire, he said he would get Holloway Air Bendigo to follow up.
Holloway Air Bendigo promptly contacted Bonaire and the new 5 pin plug motor was delivered to Holloway Air Bendigo within 3 Days.
Whilst I have nothing but praise for the operation of my Bonaire Pinnacle PEH220 Evaporative Cooler, I find the length of time that it takes for Bonaire to supply parts under warranty unsatisfactory.
I highly recommend Holloway Air Bendigo for honest advice, professional service and competitive pricing.
BONAIRE MB5 20E ( second failed unit in 3 years.) – GAFF AIR in Mittagong sold me a BONAIRE unit for under floor heating. The unit broke down 4 times in one year. After 4 months of Fair Trading it was replaced in May 2013 by MB5 20E and this unit died Saturday week ago 20/5/16. I have emailed BONIRE and called them twice last week. BONAIRE said 25/5/16 that the part will be sent by mail the next… Read more
day 26/5/16. I offered to pay the over night courier but they told me No. I told them that I live in The Southern Highlands NSW and I have chronic arthritis. 3* at night presently. BONAIRE sell inferior products and have unethical business practices which I believe would not be covered by The Fair Trading Act or by CHOICE AUSTRALIA. Never again BONAIRE!
