sealed inside a housing with torx screws. A called the store I purchased from and the guy told me, incorrectly (well intended) to pull it out from the bottom as he had never heard of a rangehood that you needed an electrician to change the bulb on. As it stands now I have to pay an electrician $100 and Bosch $76 to get this working again. This is a $900 rangehood that needs another $100 every few year spent on it to keep the lights working. A terrible investment!
Effective and very easy to clean – I have two of these in my kitchen, one over a gas wok burner and the other over an induction cooktop. They are discrete as they are mounted within the overhead cupboards (not retractable). this review is that the vent covers are SO EASY TO REMOVE & CLEAN in my dishwasher. The small covers sit nicely in a standard washer and come out shining. NO scrubbing and soaking required if you do it every quarter or so. Effective fume extraction and ease of cleaning Noisier than expected (on max)
