Great spare parts service – Our 13 year old oven started overheating recently. Rather than pay a fortune for an appliance repair callout, we just opened it up and straight away saw that the control board was damaged. I ordered a new one from Bosch on Tuesday and it arrived (free shipping!) on Thursday morning. Oven fixed. Thanks Bosch - great service! Show details · 1
Thought it would be better – I've had my new Bosch oven for 6 months now and although it cooks well, I'm disappointed with the clunky dials that don't turn smoothly, and the unclear lines on the temperature dial(I've had to put a black marker line on to define the 180 degrees). I'm not sure how correct the temperature is, as the dial can be very inaccurate where you turn… Read more
it.... and the base of the oven does not clean easily. It doesn't come off with a wipe, it needs to be scrubbed with steel wool. The smaller oven is definitely not as good as the larger oven. So I only use that for as a griller and reheating. For the $2000 I spent on it, I'm sad that it has these faults. I did buy this oven very quickly without proper research so I'll be more careful if I ever buy another oven.
Can't see the temp. all pies ruined – Cannot recommend this oven. The controls are very hard to see, with only dashes for the commonly used numbers between 150 and 200 degrees. Cannot know when it's reached temperature. Temp does not match internal thermometer. Now need to buy another oven to replace it as unusable. Show details
Disappointing.....so much cleaning – Have been using this new oven for approx 5 months. It heats fine but I really wonder if it’s worth cooking in it because of the amount of time you have to spend cleaning it after cooking just one meal, eg roast, in it. It just stains really easily and then it is super hard to get the stains off. Takes all the enjoyment away from cooking a nice meal! Very disappointed! Show details
Gets so dirty – I have the oven for 2 months or so (purchased brand new). I spend ~15 minutes each night cleaning it with stainless steel wire wool, it gets so dirty even when I just bake a bread or warm up potatoes, I've never seen anything like this! Show details

Great oven for the price – I was replacing a double oven with a double oven so knew what I was looking for and the colour I wanted. The Bosch fitted my requirements and so far has been great Can’t give it 5 stars as the timer sound is abysmal you may as well not have a timer as I had to buy a separate one to be able to hear when things were ready. You really need to fix that feature Bosch as my 16 year old previous oven had a very loud timer. Show reply
Don't know how we managed before – Both ovens produce great and consistent cooking results. The manual gives accurate settings to produce perfect baking and roast dinners. We used the top oven for warming some pies and kept the pastry perfect. A prewarm settings allows quick heating of the big oven saving power consumption. Easy to use with comprehensive instruction manual. Great product Show reply
Is Bosch, is good ... but it's not perfect! – Because I have a 40yo Bosch drill, I've always associated Bosch with Quality, Reliablity and Durability, so when it came to replacing our 20yo St. George Oven/Grill naturally I thought "Bosch". BUT, as with many new products, there were a few surprises! 1st, I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to install in the cavity of our old unit. 2nd I… Read more · 1
liked the recessed knobs, as it's easy to clean the control panel. 3rd I liked how "rapidly" it heated up (5min to 180C), that a frozen meat pie, after defrosting in mwave, would be ready in 15mins! BUT, I couldn't believe that the "grill tray" was no longer provided with this version (/01). The clock I found easy to set and the timer less so (it beeps only 10 times anyway) that we now use a small kitchen timer instead. AND it took me 1hr to figure out how to remove the oven doors for cleaning because the manual's pic was inaccurate and YT videos even worse! My biggest concern was the hot air it pushed out the front of the oven and continues to do so when turned off until cooled. I was worried that the air intake was from the back of the oven (sucking in "dirty" air) but was assured by Bosch that it didn't. On closer inspection the air comes from an inlet inside the door (at the top), it flows through the oven door glass and is sucked in at the bottom of each door. Bosch should explain how this works as other manufacturers say it "provides flow through oven door cooling"... which is an important feature (that's why the glass stays cool). Finally when I mentioned that the Bosch website says that the grill tray is included, they sent me a "free" one. After all even the cheapest double oven provides a "grill insert" and some provide "telescopic rails" for this price... something I've had to order separately from Bosch. Anyway full points to Appliances On Line (AOL) and Bosch for the service they provide and "if" this Bosch double oven lasts as long as our old unit it will work out at a mere $80 per year!
