Hi, when using microwave setting what trays should I use to sit the item container with the food in. I’ve been using the glass tray with wire rack on level 1 but I’ve broken 3 glass trays so far

Hi Peter K, Thanks for your question. Porcelain or ceramic ovenware can have small perforations in the handles or lids. These perforations conceal a cavity below. Any moisture that penetrates this cavity could cause the ovenware to crack. Only use ovenware that is suitable for use in a microwave. The glass pan can also be used as a standing surface during microwave operation. Suitable dishes are heat-resistant ovenware made of glass, glass ceramic, porcelain, ceramic or heat-resistant plastic. These materials allow microwaves to pass through. You can also use serving dishes. This saves you having to transfer food from one dish to another. You should only use ovenware with decorative gold or silver trim if the manufacturer guarantees that they are suitable for use in microwaves. Unsuitable ovenware Metal ovenware is unsuitable. Metal does not allow microwaves to pass through. Food in covered metal containers will remain cold. Please note to check the instructions for the glassware. Are these glass containers MW safe? Glass dishes are generally safe to use in microwaves. If a glass container was in the fridge for sometime please let the container reach room temperature before placing in the microwave. Microwaves can put cold glass under stress and this may lead to cracks.

Good Evening

I have a Bosch HBC84K553A microwave oven which has jusr stopped working with no power. I have never had any problems with my microwave it has always been a great product.

I really would appreciate any assistance or help that you could provide me.

How would you recommend cleaning the oven cooking from the internal roof around the heating element of this combo oven? Also, we are replacing the glass tray for the second time...does anyone else have issues with the glass microwave tray cracking?

Hi, it depends on what your cooking. The manual gives recommendations on which accessory to use for different foods which is a good guide but all accessories work with both oven and microwave. Hope this helps
