it wont fit in the new house. Next fridge, i will go back to Mitsubishi great fridges, [censored word removed] cars. We used many a Mitsubishi fridges in our home & business a while ago, they are absolutely bulletproof, the most reliable after owning 6 previous - unlike their cars ! had to match my dryer, washing machine, vac, ovens etc in my current laundry/fridge area ! Never heard this fridge running! Really bright lights, easy to see inside – While still only new, 5months. It is great, overall dimensions are small for internal space. Bright lights, quiet and most of all, easy to clean Quiet! My wife loves the 'Bling' look can't do the shopping by itself

cannot maintain cold temperatures could not be found. The fan was tested, but it appears to be functional. It was found to be iced up through the insulation material, so it appears that it is cactus anyway. Like the other posters, we also lost hundreds of dollars in food, plus more money on repairs that have done nothing. We are now in the process of buying a new fridge. Such as shame, as I loved everything about this fridge... but good functionality and design is no good if you can’t keep the food cold! We will be replacing with a cheaper model this time I think, as it is ridiculous that such big ticket items have such a limited life span.

Terrible freezer, wouldn't purchase another BOSCH side by side – I have a Bosch KAN56V10AU/05 FD 9003 fridge / freezer (side by side) which I bought new 9-10 years ago. Most online forums I have seen say a common problem with this fridge is the fan and the door latch, both reasonable cost efficient to fix, but some say it is the motherboard (a bigger issue). I rang Bosch after sales care but without a receipt (who keeps a receipt for 9-10 years) they won't discuss the issue with me.

This is clearly an ongoing problem with this model fridge (looking at consumer review postings) and BOSCH not providing any information to anyone who owns their product and doesn't have a receipt is very poor. I have previously been a real BOSCH supporter but am not so keen on their products now that I feel they must be aware of these issues with this particular fridge model and won't provide any information to customers who own these dud fridge/freezers and no longer have the receipt.

All I was seeking from Bosch was information on the faults with these fridges that have clearly been encountered by numerous customers so that I could see if there was economic value in replacing parts and fixing the fridge or if I need to buy a new fridge, they weren't helpful at all, disappointing.

Crappy fridge freezer – Door handle broke off. 3 shelves cracked. 0ne unuseable now. Ice maker doesn't go. Water filter blocks after a month and too slow to use. The cost of replacement parts esp shelves is not worth it will just buy Fisher and Paykel. Would never recommend this fridge freezer even to my worse enemy.  Show details

Extremely Happy – This is my dream appliance. It has worked flawlessly in the ten years we’ve owned it. Fridge and freezer are both perfect with a double fruit/veg basket, good door pockets and solid construction. Shelves and door pockets are adjustable to suit different sized items. Highly recommend.

House has burnt down .. parents hospilised .. how happy do you think I am – My parents almost died in their house fire .. as they are both late 80's with health issues they had trouble getting out of the house. The back door helped by a neighbour and mum out the front door .... fire completely gutted the house .. how do you bring back 80 years of memories ... all of my mums mothers tapestries were on the walls and will never be replaced .. my mum has moments of despair and disbelief ..... worth of food, this unit so far has cost me $2750... And i don't know if the compressor will go like other reviews I've read - what a lemon. So, to say I am not happy at this point in time is an understatement. I have lodged a customer resolution with Bosch - let's wait and see...

freezer have disintegrated. When I contacted Bosch they stated there are no problems with this product, it is out of warranty and that it is likely our fault that these components have broken. We are a family of 5 and our previous (smaller & undamaged) F & P refrigerator was 18 years old when we replaced it with this larger unit.

freezer is also only -8 instead of being around -18. Not sure if I want to throw money at spare parts when another component might break soon after due to the substandard build quality. I've wasted a fair bit of food already manually defrosting it a couple of times, which only solves the issue for month.

Going over what I've read from others experiences it seems these units are almost engineered to fail right outside warranty in order to get that lucrative service revenue, which would be an incredibly shady business practise, otherwise it may be just pure incompetence. Bosch warranty is also 2 years so I can imagine them being a headache to deal with if I try and raise ACL. From the above reviews it seems Bosch doesn't value it's reputation here in Australia.

All My Shelving Is Cracking! – I have had one of these units for 5+ years now... but every year a shelf gives way now I'm left with a fridge with almost no shelves in it at all.. temperature controls are very confusing, even to Bosch, as they are labelled min to max. The brochures broken English sort of implies that min is the minimum temperature but Bosch replied to an email saying that they believe min is minimum cooling. I've tried all the settings and still cannot get the temperatures where they should be. Avoid Fisher and Paykel too as their Fridge freezer I owned was useless and changed 4 times yes 4 to no avail. I also had a Mitsubishi Fridge Freezer and regret to this day having sold it. It was wonderful; efficient, quiet and performed as advertised.

Poor door shelving – The fridge as a unit is ok but space is limited. Tried to replace door shelving front plastic but was told I needed to replace whole shelf unit and I needed two. Rang spare parts and was told that $150 would cover it. Puts me off buying Bosch if you can reasonably purchase spare components. Lesson learnt.

Cracked Shelves and Solution – We found the fridge to be made of poor quality materials with the plastic edges of the shelving fracturing very early after purchase. We purchased this fridge as I was very impressed with the quality of the Bosch power tool I had for many years. The fridge is not made to the same standards and is let down by the easily breakable parts.

Based upon my experience the cooling and freezing of the Bosch Fridge have been very good.

The shelving, door shelving handles and basket however leave a lot to be desired.

Would not recommend the Bosch fridge unless these issues were addressed.

SOLUTION FOR SHELVES- The solution to this problem was provided to me by a fridge re-conditioner who advised to purchase from a Glazier 6ml beveled glass to replace the shelves. Ensure you measure your shelving front and back to fit exactly as we found our shelves tapered a few ml toward the back. We replaced 9 shelves in our fridge and freezer sections for much cheaper than it would have been to purchase directly from Bosch spare parts and they are still going strong years later.

Cracked Shelves – Very disapppointed with our fridge which is only a few years old. Shelves in fridge door have become very brittle and have cracked. Two shelves have completely broken and are unusable. Spare parts are very expensive. Would not recommend buying a Bosch fridge.

only 4 years old would not purchase another Bosch product,forget trying to contact there customer service no. There appears to be little support for customers once the 2 year warranty is up its back to Electrolux for me as this fridge/freezer has been an expensive lesson.

Broke down after just 3 years with a fault that's common apparently – The technician that fixed my freezer just now told me that the fan in the freezer is a common fault with this item and many other Bosch fridges apparently - just had mine fixed after just three years. buyer beware - had it get it fixed haven't got bill yet, but disappointed to spend so much on a fridge that needed to be fixed after only three years.

Noisy! – No impressed. Have had the motor replaced due to loud noises and a further three call outs for other unusual vibrations and noises. Thought I was buying a quality item but am very disappointed. This item is now being replaced by Bosch, which I do applaud them for, but am dubious about receiving the same model again. Nice finish, keeps items cold as they should be.

50mls) around the edge which slots into the shelf supports. This flimsy plastic trim takes the entire weight of the shelf & contents.

The trim cracks in the front corners which means you have to replace the entire shelf, glass included???

At nz$100 per shelf (i only want the $2 plastic trim!!) this is poor design that leads to an extortionate price for replacement with the same sub-standard item.

Solid glass shelves with a chip strip on the front is a much more robust solution. Bosch, this leaves a sour taste in my mouth!!!

Love my fridge – A great fridge love Bosch products. Easy to clean internal and external. Quiet compared to my mums fisher and paykel. Energy efficient, quiet, easy cleaning Doesn't fit large trays if cooking in bulk. I'll buy a French door fridge next time.

service up to standard after many phone calls and Emails only had one service call, even after I complained of food going off when the power went off and it reset to mid range settings. I finally sold the Bosch at a massive loss! Liked very little about it. For one was very bulky, had to take doors off to get it into the house. Was noisy, and was a great consumer of electricity. The electricity ratings label was also incorrect as Bosch said they were taken with the fridge freezer running on empty. Bosch service could not even adjust the temperature said it was automatic.

hours I had a new fridge in my house. How good is that service? Nice white colour, nice size. Cheap price, bought from Clive Anthonys for under $1000. Quiet motor. Cooling on the fridge side was too slow, lack of circulation. Temperature tends to stay up high if the fridge is opened too frequently.

Excellent – It has been a great purchase - quiet, spacious and does its job well in a hot, humid environment. Looks good too! Fantastic fridge - more spacious than it appears. Keeps fresh produce for ages.
