Good at first but doesn’t last either batteries or machine – At first it was quite good but I’ve had many issues First the stick cracked and broke. Bosch were quite good they sent me a replacement Secondly both the batteries that came with it lost all charge in a few years. I wonder if the way it’s always hung on charger or the fast charge unit it comes with kills them prematurely. Replacements are… Read more
possible but over 100 bucks for less amp hours
After a few years of use the joins on the stick wiggle loose so I had to duct tape to prevent suction leak
Now even the power head keeps losing power seems bad connection inside the head
Also you often have to get out scissors to cut hair clumps off the power head spindle yuck!!
Pretty average product – I bought this vacuum on the strength of reviews however it did not live up to expectations. First, the batteries do not give the advertised run time and even with care, e.g. letting the batteries cool before charging they have only lasted a couple of years. Second, the filter is non-washable and you need to purchase one. Third, the vacuum pipe has… Read more
a ridge inside and this ridge catches the dust and fibre leading to frequent blockages. You need to have a good piece of dowel with your stick vacuum to clear the blockages. Fourth, you can't turn off the power-head leading to carpet fringes, cords, etc getting caught and destroyed if you are not very careful. Other than that, it is easy to open and empty, seems to be a very good build quality (nothing has actually broken); relatively light and has adequate suction for most surfaces.
Never runs out – Vac works good, only slight downside empting the dust canister can be awkward. The big plus is you can buy new batteries easily as they are the same as the bosch tool batteries. Show details
Not bad after having previous dyson. But for spot cleaning only – Its great to use. Only downside is the way you empty the contents. As said its spot cleaning tool. Very happy with power head and suction. Very happy the batteries easy to replace and the charge holds and always constant power unlike the first wave of dysons. Show details
Limited use, Bosch non responsive in assisting with my issue – I have had my Bosch stick vac for 2 years, initially it was great, then my batteries stopped charging, I have tried to buy a new battery but they are no longer available for purchase, Bosch advised because to put my problem in writhe to them which I did a month ago, no response. I now have to throw it away and buy a dyson! This product is… Read more
landfill when you are unable to purchase batteries for it! I had a Dyson DC59 for 4 years, it never needed a new battery, the Bosch has used two batteries in two years, therefore the battery is insufficient to support the product.
Favourite vaccum! It's easy to do vaccuming now – Brought my bosch unlimited in march and absolutely love it! I would never go back to a cord vaccum and it's easy to vaccum whole house. I use turbo whole time on carpet and wooden laminate floors, does not scrape or scratch floor and I can do whole house and every bedroom with both batteries. I find the battery charges fast and very handy have a… Read more
spare one so I can do whole house at once without needing to wait for a battery to charge up. Even great getting cat hair off the couches.
Super vacuum! – Love this! Great suction Quick charge Normal Mode for rugs Turbo for carpet Great crevice tool Looks gorgeous Just picked this up today and absolutely smashes anything I've ever used. Really happy with Bosch. Would highly recommend. Show details · 1
Quality Build – Would be better if it could be kept in the turbo mode as normal mode seems a little under powered and doesn't always pick up fluff. Would be better with the heavier batteries. The charger is a bit noisy. Show details · 1
Poor design – I found the design of this product to be quite poor. Firstly, the machine loses suction after a few uses, despite cleaning the filter and ensuring nothing is stuck in the metal tube. Secondly, the machine doesn't work very well on hard floor, it pushes dirt and debris around instead of actually sucking them. Lastly, this expensive machine cannot… Read more
be leaned against a wall, it can slip easily then broke and stopped working after one fall. Now I need to spend more money on a new vacuum cleaner.
Found it heavy and clumsy – I have the red Bosch animal hair vacuum which I love to bits, best ever. It lived downstairs and performs perfectly, especially picking up kitty litter. Upstairs we had a Dyson stick vacuum which is nowhere near as good and surges constantly so I went to get another Bosch to replace it. I got the white one with the 2 batteries. I used it today… Read more
after a night charging up and was very disappointed. Its clunky, heavy and hard to manoeuvre. After just doing downstairs, my face was bright red and sweating badly. I took it back and replaced it with the Bosch Zoo red one. Can not say enough good things about the red one, its brilliant but the white one ? Nuh, hated it.

The best vacuum we had so far – We used to have a Dyson V6 cordless vacuum. After 3 years of use, the suction lost by about 50% and had to get a new one. After reading reviews and much contemplating, we decided to order online took the risk of the Bosch Serie 8. Fortunately, it was the best online purchase we did without trying out first. The suction is good enough to clean the… Read more
whole house (all hard floors). If i have heavy soiled area, the boost function is more than what I expected for a stick cordless vacuum. After 2 weeks, I haven't used the extra battery. But it's there when I need it. It's a plus factor that I can interchange the supplied batteries with my other Bosch power tools.
At last, the supplied long, flexible and narrow add on tool is great for cleaning narrow pockets in the car.
I would really recommended the Bosch serie 8. I'm not definitely going back to my previous vacuum brands.
Good machine – I paid $450 for this vaccum cleaner at harvey norman 15/8/2019, RPP $799. Extremely happy by its performance + 2 batterys. I vacuumed 200 sq meters of carpet in 40 minutes 1/2 of that was on turbo and it kept going strong. .... Update 18/3/2021 19 months on my BOSCH VACUUM CLEANER is still going strong, have changed 2 filters $30 each....Super easy to clean. Show details · 1
Excellent vacuum cleaner – I bought the Bosch Athlet 75 min runtime Turbo and love it. I have a German Shepherd and cat that constantly lose hair, it has brilliant suction and with the large capacity dust container easily does my whole house. Very easy to maneuver, with a user friendly handle that doesn't cramp up your hand. It doesn't need a docking station so can be easily… Read more · 1
charged at any powerpoint and self standing. I bought an extended warranty so when the battery slowly dies over 2+ years it's covered. This is a brilliant machine

An excellent all-round stick vac – I bought the Bosch Athlete Runtime Plus stick vacuum cleaner. I have previously owned the equivalent Dyson stick vac. In my experience, the Bosch is a superior performer on three grounds: 1. It has superior dust/dirt pickup on rugs/carpet/hard surfaces, even without using the turbo function; it performs almost as well as my powerful corded Dyson… Read more
vacuum; 2. It has a larger and more easily removed dust container; and 3. When not in use, it stands up by itself. The disadvantage, along with all rechargeable stick vacs, is the limited battery life
nice vacuum cleaner – The Bosch cordless vacuum was nice to handle and even picked up with ease the dog food biscuits on the floor from my messy dog. It really needs to be used in turbo mode, as normal mode has just not got enough power, which means you will need the quick charge the batteries, if you wish to use to do the whole house. This however makes me wonder,… Read more · 1
whether the batteries will last over time having to quick charge them a lot. However in saying that, saving electricity on cost and not having to spend hours charging the batteries or having to keep it on charge continually to make sure it’s charged and ready to go when need. It seem like it is a good comparable vacuum when looking at pro’s and con’s. It could do with a few little tweaks and this would be a 10 out of 10 but as it stands a will give it a 7 out of 10.
Initial review of BBS1224AU CORDLESS VACUUM CLEANER – I received my unlimited serie 8 vacuum cleaner today. It was very easy to assemble and quick to charge. I used it on both tiles and carpet and was amazed with the turbo. Glided easy on tiles and carpet. It was very economic and worked a treat. August 3rd 2019 Update: Light quite and easy to use The Bosch BBS1224AU Vacuum is light and easy to… Read more
assemble, i was using on a shagg pile rug the head struggled a little but over all much better than having to drag a vacuum behind you.
August 8th 2019 Update: Bosch high power brush
Today using the high power brush on the cordless unlimited 8 serise was awesome. The head was blocked but i have to say it was very easy to clean. The high power brush can actually be cleaned by unlocking the side with a simple turn. Very impressed at how easy it was to remove hair and clean the bushes if the power brush.
August 16th 2019 Update: Light and easy to use Today the unlimited serise 8 vac was so quick light and easy to use. I find using the vac on carpeted stairs a dream it was light to lift up the stairs it worked a treat. I recommend it as there is no cord and it was si easy to use on a stairwell.
September 8th 2019 Update: Introduced a friend to use the unlimited 8 series bosch vac
I have been sick lately but my good friend came over and i suggested she try the cordless unlimited 8 vac .. she couldn't believe how i light it was and how easy it was to use. Compared to other vacs this one is a winner
September 9th 2019 Update: Home helper I Used the unlimited series 8 vacuum today and the simplicity of how it turns into a hand held in a few simple clicks and changes from a full battery operated vacuum to a very simple dust buster makes getting into the corners of dusting so easy.
September 10th 2019: This is perfect it makes vacumming so easy I vacuumed the lounge today. The unlimited series 8 hand held made it so easy. The light weight of the hand held with the attachments of the smaller vac made vacumming the lounge look better. Also you are able to use it like a dust buster without the extension you would use on the floor.
two batteries I am not surprised – I am not surprised that you get two batteries with this product , you need it as the suction from this machine works best on turbo. I don't think its worth the money.
