was advised to purchase a new charger. However, I have confirmed through an independent repair service that the charger is fully functional and that the real issue is with the circuit board.
This means the vacuum has developed a major fault shortly after the warranty period, which is not consistent with the standard of durability and quality consumers are entitled to expect under Australian Consumer Law. A Bosch vacuum should reasonably last well beyond two years.
Unfortunately, the support I received so far has not resolved the matter. I would like Bosch to assist me in resolving this issue fairly. A practical solution would be for Bosch to supply me with the replacement circuit board for my vacuum so I can have the repair completed.
I am confident this request is reasonable under the ACL, and I am happy to work with you towards a fair resolution. I have attached proof of purchase for your reference.
Please advise me on the next steps.

Worst purchase ever. Complete waste of money – Complete waste of money. Worked ok to start with long enough to get a good review but after a couple of months the battery would show full charge and last five minutes and die. After 4 months it wouldn’t work at all. The Good Guys obviously knew this but wouldn’t give me a refund or offer any solution when I called. They lost me as a customer after 25 years.
Terrible Battery. Gave up after replacement failed – I purchased one of these units from The Good Guys & initially it seemed pretty good - cleaned well & I could easily get the whole house done on a single charge. them the issue & said that Bosch has told them to refund or replace these units no questions asked if they have battery units - so they must be well aware of the problems.
The second unit was great for a couple of months & then the battery failed in it too. I thought that perhaps by the time we got that unit Bosch would have done something to fix the issue, but it seems they just kept building & shipping the same defective machines. I took this one back to Good Guys & asked for a refund as I wasn't willing to chance it again. Overall a pretty poor product from Bosch that really should have either been discontinued or fixed when they realised there was an issue.
Misplaced brand confidence – I bought a Bosch because I use their parts in my motor vehicle. I also have a Bosch washing machine; never had a problem. The vacuum cleaner battery lasts about 15 minutes from day one. Refuse holder can is so small you can fill it just vaccuming a car interior. Then there is lack of power. Wouldn’t buy it again – Terrible vacuum. 6 months in (purchased it from Good guys) and it has poor suction power. I have to run it over dirt a few times to pick it all up and it keeps spitting out what it sucked up. removing the hair, you have to cut it off with a blade. Very bad vacuum, wouldn’t recommend at all. The only good thing about it is that it’s not noisy and quite light weight and easy to manouevere.
Good for the price – I purchased this less than a year ago . I am pretty happy with it for the price . Battery lasts around half an hour and it is strong enough for daily cleaning around the house. I see so far is that it starts dropping things once you turn it off ( and it is not full) . Still happy with it and use it daily .
Battery wore out in 15 months so then e-waste – Worked very nicely for 10 months then the run time started reducing. After 15 months it would only run for 10 seconds, hopeless. Not designed for battery replacement so it was then e-waste which I think is completely unacceptable. Luckily The Good Guys honored the 2 year warranty and gave a refund. Poor quality and very poor performance – The vacuum starts screaming and smells of burning after 30 seconds every time it’s used. The canister is virtually empty but the first bits of dust blocks the filter. It picks up grit and spits it out elsewhere. Its used on short pile carpet and wooden floors. Battery only last for little more than a year. got burned twice. Bosh dont cover the battery – Tile Floors mainly and small carpet. Cleans good battery doesn't last long. This product actually works – Bosch hand vaccum has a long stick vaccum & a short hand held vaccum. Light 2 handle and extremely easy 2 clean. This product does what Bosch says it would do. Dog hair gone. Great value at Retrovision O'Connor perth Wa
