noticed that the left hand side touch screen is now no longer working hence I cannot select setting, cleaning options or some of the cooking menus…..I would have expected that a so called quality German brand would have been free of defects but looking at other users appears to be a common fault…..Microwave is vastly under powered the inductive cook top seems good without ant failure so far….updated note we now have an additional problem e6100 error which is cooling fan failure which also now need a new circuit board also

knife that was on my bench fell on the glass door and SHATTERED it! Just like that. Not a hammer. A butter knife! I found out 1) how delicate this expensive oven is and much worse, 2) the inside panel is not tempered-glass which means I had big sharp shards of glass all over the place. I'm a single mum with a small kid and a very inquisitive dog so I had to get everyone out of the kitchen ASAP to pick up the dangerous pieces of glass. I called Bosch the next day and apparently this is "normal", it is "fragile" so I need to be careful in the future. This never happened with my old oven which was probably over 20 years old (it came with the house). The replacement glass cost $163, I'm supposed to be able to replace it myself, but I am really worried about cutting myself while dismantling the door and removing the remaining broken glass. My Bosch dishwasher is over 7 years old and is amazing so I trusted this brand but no more. I'm now worried that even after I replace the glass I have to watch for anything that might accidentally fall from the bench onto the open door. Do your research. Make sure the oven you buy is sturdy and uses tempered glass. Safety first!

*** Update: I was contacted by Bosch to "help me with the issue" and their help consisted in giving me the number to their Customer Service so I could book a technician to come and replace the glass. Here is how much that would cost me, on top of the $160 I already paid for the glass: $110 call out fee + $9.90/6 minutes... What a joke. Thank you for nothing Bosch, I can't believe your expensive oven is so dangerous and you can't even acknowledge it. Stay away from Bosch!!!
