Worth the money? Sadly not – Very disappointed. We bought the dishwasher just over 2 years ago and today it stopped working. We got an error on the display (888) which is not mentioned anywhere. We called Bosch and they say we don't have anyone that can repair it where we live. The warranty run out 2 months ago. Terrible dishwasher- the toxic smell is unbearable – I wish I’d googled other reviews before I purchased this dishwasher…alas, I didn’t and now I find myself with a dishwasher that emits a toxic smelling , bitimen/tar-like odour. they advised that the machines are tested after manufacture, hence the wet, smelly inside… they were very helpful and went out of their way to find a solution, so the machine was taken back and a replacement provided promptly at no cost to me. I hoped the new unit would be better, as it wasn’t wet inside, but it did have the same smell…..fast-forward to well over 15 hours of cycles, including one with vinegar at the suggestion of the AO representative, I called them to advise it was not improving and clearly not fit-for-purpose, I am unhappy with the machine and I would like it returned and refunded….was advised that it must first be assessed by a Bosch repairer…which has been booked by me for next week. I did explain to him he is coming to smell the unit, not repair it! Interestingly, AO mentioned that they had another customer call for the same issue a few weeks prior to my call.

This Bosch unit has ruined my plastic dishes- I cannot get the smell out of them, my house stinks, my kids complain about the smell, I have a constant headache and all my dishes need to be re-washed after using it, due to the smell it leaves on everything!

If not for this stench, I do have some positives: the dishes are very clean, after setting the extra drying time option the dishes are lovely and dry, and wow…this dishwasher is so quiet that I sometimes have to check if it is actually running a cycle!

If dishes are left in for more than an hour after the cycle finishes the inside of the machine and the dishes become very wet. There is also a sticky brown substance on the back of the machine….(for some reason my provided photos of this won’t display). I just want this dishwasher out of my house! I am now waiting for the Bosch repair agent to come inspect the machine…and have been hand washing all my dishes for over a week now. Buyer beware.

Edited to add: Bosch were great and refunded and removed the dishwasher within a week. I’ve replaced it with a Westinghouse.
