Exceptional listening experience with perfect comfort – The around-ear comfort is exceptional as I use them up to 10 hours a day sometimes, the noise reduction is very good, the audio quality is simply incredible, and takes your listening experience to a new level. Very easy to use and they look classy! Show details

Definitely won’t buy these again – The headphones stopped working after only 2.5 years... they just wouldn't charge up even after trying multiple cables and leaving them on charge for 6 hours. Bose advised the warranty is for only 2 years and offered to sell me another pair at 20%off... but as if I would buy them again when they only lasted 2.5 years. Definitely won’t buy these again Show details

Good sound but mic and hands free is terrible – I got these headphones from my wife for Christmas, I specifically asked for them after reading the positive reviews and the added bonus of being usable as a hands free phone headset was a big selling point. I have found the sound quality to be great, bluetooth is excellent however I have had significant problems when using them to take calls and… Read more

on my work computer or mobile phone.

I find sometimes when I call someone and the headset is connected to my phone, they cannot hear me, so I have to disconnect and recall. When they do work to take/make a call I get complaints from people saying it's hard to hear me, asking where I am (when I'm in a quiet office). As for when I use skype for business, when ever I mute the mic, it cannot be unmuted unless I leave the call/meeting and rejoin.

Summary: Buy if you want a good sounding set of wireless headphones, don't buy if you want to use them as a hands free device or for any type of calling.

Can’t live without! – This was a very expensive purchase for me from JB hi-fi. These over the ear headphones cost me about $500 but they are worth every penny. I spend a lot of time in hospital due to chronic pain and every three weeks for a whole day I’m there for an infusion and it can get quite noisy and overwhelming. I had other headphones but they never quite… Read more

got rid of the sound now with my Bose wireless headphones I can put them on and they council out all noise even if I’m not listening to music, film or if I’m on the phone I can rest peacefully in the quiet and enjoy what I’m listening to without interruption. It’s one of the best purchases I’ve ever invested in.

I would highly recommend them to people that need some space and quiet for those that lead busy lives and need a bit of me time. I also recommend them for people that are sound sensitive who need to switch off occasionally. Although I think they were very expensive I do believe the price to be fair as they are one of the higher end headphones and come with a good warranty and you can replace parts if they ever get broken or needs repairing unlike cheaper headphones where if they break you have to replace the whole thing.

The Major Con addressed – I won't go into how good, easy to use and comfortable these headphones are! There are plenty of reviews covering this already. BOSE - you either love their stuff or hate it. I know of no other brand that seems to polarize people as much as Bose. I am a fan, no surprise there. Looking into these headphones, the major negative I came across was that… Read more

they are unsuitable for watching video, because there is a lag in the sound transmission. Some claim this lag is so bad, that video is virtually unwatchable. Indeed, Bose themselves say these headphones are for listening to music, not video. The lag in transmission doesn't matter if you are just listening to music. Some claim you need to reload early versions of the software to get improvements in video. Most of these reviews appear to be a few years old.

My experience is very different. I specifically bought these to watch video on my laptop, watch TV late at night without disturbing others in the house, and to listen to music. Firstly, video on the laptop. I have been using the headphones for about 3 months. 90% of the time, I do not notice any lag in sound and voices are in sync with the video. About 10% of the time I do notice a lag, not major and certainly not unwatchable. I find that if I pause the video for 10-20 seconds and restart it fixes the problem. If this doesn't work, turning the headphones off and on again does the trick. Regarding TV, I have a recent model Sony Bravia. It has bluetooth capability, but apparently not for headphones. The bluetooth is only for a mouse or keyboard - what a bummer! I purchased a bluetooth transmitter for around $35 and we are in business. I thought that maybe with another piece of equipment (these transmitters are tiny and plug into headphone jack, optical port or the sound ports), there would be a lag. No such problem, the voices are in sync with the picture every time. For music, they are awesome.

I did not update software or anything, these are good to go straight out of the box. Perhaps Bose have fixed the problem and the latest software has addressed the issue. Very happy and would buy another pair.

Great, lightweight headphones – These are used for TV listening late at night after the new TV didn't have a cable connection. Pros: Lightweight, comfortable to wear, good battery life and excellent noise cancellation. Cons: The absence of a charger at this price point is disappointing Can't speak to the BT range as it's probably less than 3 metres away but it holds a stable… Read more

connection with no drop outs.

Audio Quality: audio quality isn't up to the that of the Sony MDR-CD780 that we used to use but they are also much heavier. It is, however, better than the Sennheiser HD 65TV which we've been using lately although they are obviously at a lower price point.

Summary: Probably reasonable value at the price point but a charger would have been nice.

Bluetooth Headphones - Bose branded – I have had these for over a year now and can say the pros are: - the quality of sound - battery life - comfort - Bluetooth connectivity - easy to use Cons are: - Accessories in the box - charging cord short - cushion padding easily disfigured - NOT NOISE CANCELLING Other than those minor cons I would recommend this model. Show details

Disappointing sound for the money – I was very disappointment with the sound for the price point of these, I say just suck it up and get the Q35 II - this is what I did and I am now happy with quality sound and alround better build quality etc.... If the price point of the Q35 II is too much and you want wireless, try another competing brand. Show details

Built for good sound, but not built to last – Very disappointed with the quality and durability of my Bose Soundlink Around-ear II headphones. It has only been 1.5 years and the left speaker has decided to snap off!!! You would think that spending a good amount of money on a good-quality set of headphones would pay off in the long-run, but that is definitely not the case with Bose… Read more

headphones - They are certainly not worth it in the long term.

I take great care with all my electronics and obviously I don't excessively twist the speaker beyond its capability. I would have assumed that Bose quality tests their headsets to withstand multiple twist and turns!!!

Been digging around for similar cases on the internet and apparently a lot of people have problems with their headphones RIGHT AFTER their 1-year warranty expires!!!

If you're thinking of buying a pair of nice, sturdy, good-quality headphones, Bose is NOT the goto brand anymore!!!

To add to my disappointment, asking the tech support for an out-of-warranty replacement costs $285, and that's excluding shipping!!! I might as well buy a competitor's headphone for that amount of money!!!

(Can anyone can suggest a better, longer-lasting brand?)

Bose, you've lost my trust in your brand!!!

They are definitely NOT worth $229.00 – If you want amazing sound quality, these headphones 100% provide top level sound quality. However, the ear cups swivel the wrong direction, you can lay them down but you can not lay them on your neck, this design makes zero sense to me I have never seen another pair of headphones to swivel this way. The ear cups are soft and feel good on your head… Read more

at first, but there is a very thin layer of cloth separating the speaker from your ear, not enough to keep your ear from rubbing against. At the price level I am very surprised at how cheap the ear cups feel, but great sound quality can not make up for "okay" build quality.

Sounds alright, but not worth how much they're still going for – Full disclosure - I got these headphones for free with the purchase of a new phone. I am glad I did, because I wouldn't be able to justify spending around $300 on these new. Bluetooth pairing is a piece of cake, and they're nice and light, well padded. They do feel a bit insubstantial in terms of build quality, though. My main problem with these… Read more

headphones is that they're still commanding a hefty premium in 2020 for a pair of cans that are 5 years old. It's only Bluetooth 4.0 so it doesn't support aptX HD, and these are the epitome of the old phrase "no highs, no lows, must be BOSE."

There is a distinct lack of treble in particular; on some songs the vocals are almost literally drowned out by the guitars and toms. Bass is well controlled if not particularly punchy.

I will probably continue to use them (they were free, after all) but if I had to pay money, I'd pick up Audio Technica M50xBTs instead. Comparable price bracket, considerably better battery life and a sonic signature that is far more enjoyable with far more technological advancements.

The Bad Bluetooth wireless range is not perfect, just OK. Sound quality does not as good as QC35. Unlike the QC25, this headphone folds flat but doesn't have a second hinge that allows it to fold up and further reduce its footprint when stowed in its included carrying case.

Excellent as usual from Bose – Bought these for my son who listens to music aaalllll day - mostly instrumental and epic movie/game music, so he wanted a high-quality headset to pick up the nuances in the music. He tried my (awesome) QC35's, but he didn't like the sensation of noise-cancelling, but still wanted good sound quality, wireless and comfortable. These fitted the bill perfectly.  Show details

Beautiful sound and seamless bluetooth – The wireless range is pretty good. Can go under the house or upstairs with them still working. Picks up all your paired devices really well. Sound quality is excellent, crisp with good base. Battery life is OK, however it’s frustrating that you cannot charge them and also listen to whatever at the same time. Annoying when they go flat in the middle of something and it’s a 2 hour wait to recharge.  Show details

Expensive but worth the money – I've had my Bose SoundLink Headphones for a couple years now where I use it primary for my home theater watching movies. Good headphones – Bose have always been great at sound engineering, I was personally more opted to buy the Quiet Comfort 35s but as they are a bit expensive, I chose to go for these ones. The best thing is the cushioning above and on the earcups are very soft and comfortable. It lacks noise cancellation, however has pretty high volumes and crystal clear sound quality. Myer has them on sale sometimes for 20% off, that is the best time to grab them!  Show details

Lovely Comfortable Headphones – I love these earphones. I am very sensitive to external noise and so I really appreciate the complete isolation these give.
