CAUTION!! DANGEROUS CHARGER. good sound, Horrible everything else.
You can get something better for half the price.
The speaker sound ok but no features work, it unnecessary invades your privacy and it comes with a very cheap and potentially dangerous universal power brick but at a premium price.
I will NEVER buy Bose again!
After 2 months of very casual use it stopped charging with the supplied universal charger but still worked with my phone charger, i unplugged the bose power brick for the first time and it arked and shorted out because the AU plate is sloppy when clicked in to the bose universal plug causing small sparks if it's moved or bumped.
Software:...can't connect using bose software with my Galaxy note 9 or S8 but my sony Experia Z3 connected once and i was able to setup the speaker. I tried to connect a few days later to turn off google assistant and sign out of spotify but couldn't with the 3 devices i own and after a few hours of trying updates, fresh installs and older app versions on multiple devices i gave up and preformed a factory reset, it's been near 2 years and i still can't connect with bose app to do the initial setup, adjust EQ, select a language or link devices. PRIVACY WARNING!!! To connect to speaker with bose app: Location MUST be turned on. Bose MUST have access to all your Location Data/History. You MUST creat an account and sign into Bose server before you can connect to your speaker with app WHY BOSE???????????

360 sound, build quality
- When it works, it works great. The 360 sound is truly unique and they are solidly built.
- The bose connect app however is flaky.
- Pairing is not always successful. Whilst connected to one, when you try to connect and pair another revolve plus, the connection to the first is lost. Very frustrating. Even after couple of updates to the app, this issue wasn't fixed.
- Updating the firmware for the speakers takes ages. Give it a good 4-5 hours for the transfer to occur and if you disconnect the app, blue tooth device then you gotta restart th...

A practical speaker with high quality sound, that offers great durability. The battery is excellent and the fact it is relatively waterproof make it even more valuable. Long lasting battery.
Great sound. Tech connectivity horrible & unacceptable at this premium price point.
Bose were founded on buildable systems & still markets that along with premium sound as their point of difference but they are really not delivering that at all. The sound quality of Bose speakers is second to none. Right now that’s where Bose ends & that should be limited to wired/cord until they actually take their wireless tech seriously and get it right. Their current app, wireless connectivity and software integration is horrific, an absolute insult to any Bose loyalist or other customer in this price point. I have 2 of these speakers. C...urrently any Bose wireless customer will need to set aside time investment of at least 8-10 hours a week, starting and finishing most days in pure frustration of party/stereo mode pairing, device switching, Bluetooth reconnection, resets & factory defaults for battery charging fails, flimsy charge connectivity and cradles that fail completely. Don’t think Bose will address it in newer versions, my 2 were purchased 3 years apart. The second is worse.

Awesome portable speakers
I have always liked bose speakers for their sound, clarity, base and portability.
Its easy to connect and also has nfc if your phone has it just a tap away.
Like other speakers these are best near a corner so that the sound can bounce off walls.

Brilliant sound for the size of this speaker
Bose makes great quality products that are easy to use brilliant speaker amazing sound for the compact size. My kids love it I am just blown away how good the sound is we will be taking the Bose speaker on our holidays. Its easy to use and the sound is just fantastic. I use it in my BBQ area and the sound quality even with many people around is just great. I would highly recommend the product.

Overpriced, mediocre all-round performance with poor support base from manufacturer.
Based on the rave reviews I bought the Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus Bluetooth Speaker. I was under the impression the sound quality would exceed all expectations. But my experiences were to the contrary and to date, I cannot justify the exorbitant price of this over-rated speaker. For the price, sound quality is pathetic. Considering the size of this speaker, the bass is surprisingly good - but that's where the positives end. Treble is not as crisp as one would expect and the midrange is really lacking - to the degree that the speaker sounds muf...fled, and without the rhythmic musicality that makes for a great speaker. My initial impressions were that the speaker needs some run-in time but after 3 months, no improvement to the sound whatsoever. I also experimented with placement and tried placing the speaker in various areas and on different surfaces - no improvement. This speaker can at very best be described as clinical. There are no bass, midrange or treble settings that one can adjust. And a huge CAVEAT EMPTOR regarding connectivity. Although the Bose Soundlink Revolve Plus works as intended with my iPhone, and as claimed by the manufacturer, it fails dismally when connected to a (Windows 10) laptop as the volume controls become inoperable. One cannot increase or decrease the volume on the laptop, or the Bose. It should be noted that volume control issues are not confined to Windows 10 and or laptops. Internet search results were very telling, with hundreds of complaints about this fault saturating the internet. The owner's manual (leaflet) is pathetic and I wonder why Bose even bothered. And as a comprehensive manual is not available as a download, problem solving is by trial and error, and by word of mouth. To date, my problems remain unresolved. Overall, one huge disappointment. The only plus for Bose is that it is constructed from premium materials and build quality overall is superb. But that is as good as it gets - don't waste your money or time as there are dozens of superior options to choose from out there for half the price.

Hard to fault
Easy to use. Great battery life. Highly portable. For a blue tooth speaker, the sound is great. It follows me around the house... bathroom, kitchen... streaming radio, Sound Cloud, Spotify. Great quality and good value. Highly recommended.

Use it all the time, excellent sound
Great sound and 360 coverage. Battery life seems to last most of the day without any issue. Build quality is top notch, typical from Bose. I've also been pairing it with the Bose micro which works really well, especially across 2 rooms.

Excellent sound with fantastic design
Wow, the Revolve+ speaker produces amazing sound all around and the size & weight of the unit is perfect.
- Excellent battery life
- Handle feels great
- I liked being able to pair my phone by just tapping on the top of the unit - made it so easy!
- I also have the speaker paired to my laptop which is awesome as laptop speakers are always poor.
- The sound from the Revolve+ easily fills a large room or patio and very good low volume for the bedroom or small spaces.
- You need to download the Bose app (I have android) to disable to annoying voice prompts. I don’t need a speaker to speak to me – I need it to reproduce music.

Quality Sound Beyond Size
For the past seven months I have been looking for an outdoor Bluetooth speaker that can connect to an auxiliary cable, as well as via bluetooth. This would be the family go-to speaker for connecting Bluetooth smartphones and old iPod Classic music players via a cable.
The device needed to:
• be waterproof, in case of any rain
• fill the outdoor spaces with sound
• have a clear and punchy sound...

Sounds pretty good! BUT!
It should sound "pretty good" at $300 for a single mono speaker!
BUT -- ask anyone to honestly discuss the extremely poor switching control connections between Bluetooth - phone plug - USB audio sources.
Erratic and slow at best. You have to jack around every time you use it to get any of these connections to work.
How basic Bose! Simple switching! REALLY -- THIS IS THE BEST YOU CAN ENGINEER AT $300 A POP?
Great product - Sound is amazing from a Bluetooth speaker
360 degree sound is great, good bass but not so heavy it affects the overall sound. Yes it’s expensive but it’s Bose. They have to get the R&D back somehow I guess. My view is you get what you pay for and it does not disappoint. I am planning to buy more and link them all together music inside and out via the Bose app.
This is Bose. Brillant
I have few Bose devices, including the Bose Sound Dock (Battery Installed) which is one of my favourites, especially when the electricity goes off during a storm. But it does not have Bluetooth connectivity. So I purchased the Revolve plus. I read and heard the other reviews and I am not disappointed in my purchase. In fact, I am listening to it now while I am typing this. The sound quality; some of the Bose sound devices can be a bit light on in the mid-range frequencies but not the Revolve plus. I think it is great. The volume for me is easil...y loud enough with very little to no distortion at full volume. The 360 degree around sound is awesome, I thought I never needed it until now. You can position the Revolve up against a wall or in the middle of a room and the music can be heard the same by everyone. I have mine in my kitchen and it doesn’t matter where in the kitchen as I can hear the music at the same quality wherever I am in the kitchen. Connection by bluetooth is so quick and as with the other Bose devices I have, I like the audio voice confirmation when connecting to it or switching it on. The Revolve plus is a very well built device, quality finish as Bose products always seem to be, I guess, that is what we pay for. Comparing the Revolve to the Revolve plus. The plus is physically larger and has more Bass, and the handle, believe it or not does make a lot of difference when moving it around. I purchased the recharging cradle for the Revolve plus, to me this is a must. It is like the smart phones and wireless charging pad, once you have one, you will not go back. It also stops the occasional, forgetting to unplug the charging cord when moving. You can play music while you are charging it. A great purchase !
The speaker sound great and has good battery life, its a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. It connects through Bluetooth easily and is easy to move around. I may buy another for upstairs. Like most Bose products it is made from good materials and good quality.
I was attracted by its design when I first saw it. There are two different sizes. I chose the smaller one because it’s more convenient though the sound quality is not as good as the bigger one. I love its 360 sound effect. I can put it anywhere and the sound is same from anywhere.
I was fed up listening to my scratchy sounding Christmas cd’s & as I already had Bose noise cancelling headphones I thought “ that’s it! I have to get a decent Bluetooth speaker to play my music on my IPhone “
I bought the Bose Soundlink Revolve & it’s a fantastic ( bass ) sound for such a small speaker & well worth the money
Awesome Sound I've Come to Expect From Bose
I've owned & still own quite a few Bose products & they're always great. The Soundlink Revolve is no exception. My wife bought it for me after my Soundlink Mini was stolen out of my car. The beauty of the Revolve is that you get great sound in every direction so you can place it say on a table in the middle of the room & everyone sitting around gets amazing sound. I think it's got a bit more power than the Soundlink Mini but is a bit bigger. Battery life is excellent. I love the fact that it just automatically pairs with my phone after you've connected it once. Using a very standard USB connection is a nice feature too as it can just plug into an iPhone charger base.
I listened to a range of different wireless speakers before making my final decision. While others were adequate, nothing seemed to be genuinely 'good' after hearing this one. Battery life is great, compact size makes it easy to take with you, sound quality is amazing for its size - the bass is amazing, you really need to listen for yourself if you haven't already. Very happy with this device.
My favourite thing ever
The bass and clarity are second too none.
I love that it goes so loud it drowns out my neighbours booming stereo.
Portable and waterproof so it can be taken to the beach and swimming pools.
Easy to connect via Bluetooth- I cannot fault this speaker - it's my favourite!!
Questions & Answers
hey, does anyone know if the connect app allows you to change inputs from bluetooth to aux? and also can you adjust the volume once playing through said aux input? thanks
Yes and yes
why does my bose speaker keep disconnecting from my phone/ipad
Could be that your iPhone is placed too far from your Bose speaker. If not, try re-install as it could be that your existing Bluetooth connection is corrupt, causing disconnection.
