After many years have changed over to Braun series 7 shaver from a rotary shaver,have found i get a closer shave and more comfortable to use.I generally shave every 2nd or 3rd day and have found this shaver excellent, only small complaint is you have to snap the beard trimmer onto shaver as it is a separate unit but not a deal breaker for me.The model i purchased which was also on sale is made in Germany so that seems to be a bonus as well. Frustrating to use as shaver head keeps coming off while shaving… – A present for Christmas and to replace my old Braun is just as frustrting to use as the old one but even worse. I want a really close shave and do so dry (not in the shower) but the head keeps coming off while using it causing a mess and sometimes minor cuts. The locking mechinisum that holds the shaving head blades assembly to the body is unable to overcome the friction while shaving and comes off. Show details

impression was the machine was very well built. Heavy, but not in an uncomfortable way, but in a “quality” way. Had a more premium feel to my previous trimmer.
Use was just as you’d expect. Wasn’t uncomfortable, gave a great dry shave, no razor burn or the like. I rarely actually shave and often cut myself if I do, so this was a nice change.
The only two things I am not a fan of are: - the instruction manual. It is over simplified and had to read the cartoons a few times to understand what it meant - the accessories advertised on the website arent in stock anywhere in Australia
Regardless, I would wholeheartedly recommend. I have since also purchased the SmartCare Cleaning Centre which is amazing - charges and cleans in one hit. Easy as!
