Worked really well until today. My blender had very little use since I purchased it about 2 years ago, and today it suddenly stopped. Very disappointed, and now I have to go to the effort of trying to find out where I bought it. Not good enough for a supposed premium product. Show details

died quickly – I used to be a big fan of Braun, but my last 2 purchases have been very poor quality and now I avoid the brand entirely. the motor on this model gave out very quickly with minimal use. the lock function is very frustrating and annoying, and the accompanying attachments were largely unnecessary. Show details

Poor customer service – The hand blender started to turn on and off intermittently so I contacted Braun. Still under warranty I was told to drop it off at one of their repair centres…. Now it’s been over 2 months and still no answer. Spoken to both Braun and repair centre and still no answer on what’s going on. Pretty pathetic service from both parties ! Show details

Underwhelmed! Short cord, slow whisk, lock button – My old breville mixer died in the most amazing fashion, threw a couple of wires from the balloon whisk attachment... Found this during my research, and didn't think twice as I've always wanted a stick mixer with a variable trigger! Unfortunately, to get this you must buy a bunch of junk you don't need. But, for the variable trigger, totally worth… Read more

it yeah? Nah... Not even a little! It has a lock button, that you have to press, every... darn... time... you want to blend, it has maybe 1/2 a second grace period, absolute insanity!!! So when you're checking the stiffness of your peaks, you need to stop, hold the top lock button, then start again. The MAIN reason I got this was for one handed operation with the variable trigger, then they put a stupid lock button on it! UGH... One last swipe... It also has a stupidly short cord... is copper REALLY that expensive? I use my stick mixer almost daily, and will tolerate this for now. Having a deeper dive I found the NutriBullet Immersion Blend & Whisk Set, for 1/3 the price you get a blender and a whisk attachment, none of the other junk! It only has two speeds, but also has a variable setting to change what those speeds are. I'm thinking of buying it and gifting this to my sister.

The only brand of blender to guarantee they are free from emitting chlorinated paraffin in to food – Update below: Pros: 1.It is pretty much the only blender that can guarantees being free from chlorinated paraffin. I specifically enquired about this to all the blender brands I could think of and Braun is the only one who could definitively assure me they were free of it: "For all Braun hand blender we can guarantee that are free from… Read more

chlorinated paraffin since 2017. (We have the test report and are certified) However, regards to the product before 2017, although the material has not been changed, we do not have the certification so we cannot officially guarantee." It is no contest after this. It is the only choice of brand to get. 2.Great customer service, they replaced the small bowl for me about 4 times, even out of warranty, see cons below 3.Generally great blender in the big bowl and as an immersion blender Cons: 1.The small blade in the small bowl kept twisting out of control and twisting itself in to the plastic of the bowl - smoking from the heat, melted plastic, distorted twisted up metal and plastic bowl no longer useable. This happened 4+ times and even when grinding soft stuff like garlic.

Update:

Pro: They have a great website where you can order replacement parts instead of having to buy the whole set all over again, that's better for the environment. It is great they have this as they could just force you to pay for a whole new set, holding as they do, the monopoly for the healthiest blender due to free of chlorinated paraffin contamination.

Con: The engine for this gave out after about 3 years of fairly regular use. I think that is so so mileage, should last longer.

Quick, chops and mixes really well. Better than my old Bamix – Purchased on 26th Dec 2021, so only a couple of months old. I've used it almost daily in this time. Mixed smoothies, chopped onions, and mixed vegetables. I love it. Mainly because it's so easy to clean. A lot of kitchen appliances say that, but this one really is. It's a quick rinse under the tap. I am only using the small chopper as there… Read more ·  1

is only me to worry about, and I've used it for all the things stated above. I've used the whisk for egg whites, and it certainly whisks them, but not as fast as my hand mixer to be honest. I've made thick shakes for the kids and they come out awesome. Again, cleaning the one attachment under the tap makes it a breeze to use. I love the way the motor disconnects from the attachments so there is no worries about getting water in the motor. I also find it easy to press the on button as I have arthritis I was a bit worried that having to hold it constantly as you were whisking etc., that I mightn't be able to manage it, but it's fine. The one thing I don't love is the lock. Every time you stop using it, it automatically locks, a feature I could do without. However, if you had kids in the house, this would be perfect. My Bamix didn't have a lock and the way these blades move on these hand blenders, a child could easily loose a finger, so it is a really good idea. Hopefully, it lasts the distance. As it's only a couple of months old, obviously I can't comment on longevitiy.

Kitchen game changer with impressive power – It’s been a game-changer in my kitchen with its 1200W blender. It's way more powerful than I expected and has easily replaced my old Kenwood food processor. It handles everything I throw at it, from blending to chopping and processing ingredients. It's super quickand has saved me tons of time when cooking. It comes with a bunch of cool attachments and extras. Show details

Same problem as everyone else. Broken coupling – I have had this blender for about 2 years. I never really used it that much but when I need it I need it. One big issue with this product – Firstly, I was initially very happy with this product. It worked perfectly until just before it ran out of warrenty. The unit started emitting a loud whirring noise and the main chopper blade would not turn. It turns out the lid has a hard plasic bit which connects from the motor to the blade, and this wore out over the year causing the slip and… Read more

in effect rendering it unusable.

I received a replacement lid under warrenty (after having to send it in for repair for a long time) and used this for less than a year before the same thing happened. I then had to buy my own replacement lid at my own cost.

I feel this is a massive design fault of this product which needs to be aware of committing to purchasing it.

It was great abut then broke before the year – Purchased this at good guys and worked great at first. Didn’t really used it that much. Before it was a year old mid use it just stop working after hearing a click inside the machine. We were busy with Xmas and family stuff to didn’t take it back straight away. We went to the good guys 6 days after the year mark and they would not do anything, fix it or anything. Very disappointed Show details

Terrible appliance – The first time I tried it, the blade was flimsy to fit into the (smaller) bowl. Whilst the blender is quite good, finishing in about 5 seconds, the components parts do not fit easily and its hit and miss on whether the 'lock' light actually turns off. I am trying to get a refund as it was so poor. Show details

Good but not the best – I brought this when looking for a food processor as I thought I’d get the advantage of the other attachments. The small chopper is great however the larger one takes a bit and doesn’t process the best. The vegetable slicer attachment is ok. It does the job but could be better.  Show details

Perfect for making baby foods! – This blender is very good, most blending finishes within 3-5 seconds. We mainly use it to make baby puree for our little one. Fit for purpose. I use it daily – I use the Braun MultiQuick 9 every day and love what it can do. I like the variety of chopping and mixing accessories included. It’s important to read the manual. parts straight away, as I don’t trust the dishwasher with it (not all parts are dishwasher safe). With a family member getting braces, meat and veggies needed to be chopped. Burnt the motor of my expensive ESGE/Bamix mixer and this Braun MultiQuick was recommended to me by a family member overseas. It was pointed out to me that the plastic parts may eventually break, but that they can be purchased fairly reasonably priced as spare parts. I use it to chop herbs, onions, meat, veggies, fruit purées; make smoothies, sauces, mashed potato; slice veggies (soft and hard) etc... There is a lot more it can do. Some of the attachments I haven’t used yet. So far I am really happy with this purchase. Chopping has never been so much fun. And... Our diet has also improved :-)

UPDATE (11/2024): After 4 years of regular use, the blender is still going strong. One of the blades has a hairline crack visible on its shaft. But so far it is still holding together.

Great for lightweight tasks, but hopeless for anything hard – Have had this for two years and it's had a really easy life. Great for chopping nuts or other lightweight tasks. Yesterday my wife tried to use it for dates. It fried the motor. Would have been happy it it had a thermal cutout, but no, the motors gone. If you only want to use it for lightweight tasks go for it. If you want it for anything else, good luck! Show details

Excellent, but short lived – The incredibly powerful motor is the real drawcard for this appliance and we were always happy with it’s performance. However, one day the motor just stopped working without notice, no warning signs, no funny noises, just stopped working at all. It is also worth noting that the lid accessories cannot be washed in the dishwasher without being damaged. I would not buy this again.

A fantastic multi purpose addition to my kitchen – Purchased the Braun several weeks ago and have say I’m extremely pleased with it. a big disappointment – I bought this a year ago and have suffered ever since in comparison with my previous Braun mixer/chopper which I loved. cinnamon stick in it and the force smashed the plastic part of the chopping blade as well as cutting grooves in the plastic bowl so so I need to replace them. I use the shredding parts a lot and find that when I remove the lid to get the shredded carrot, etc. out the remains which did not get shredded drop all over the place, and the little metal stick in the bottom of the bowl always falls out with the food so that I end up searching all through the food to find it. Why doesn't it stay in the bowl? The shredding discs end up with food jammed into all the corners so I have to get a skewer to dig it all out. All in all, what with the cheap plastic bowls, and the annoyance of having to press the top button before I can press the side button to get it to work, it is so inferior to the last Braun multiquick machine I had that I will next time look to a different brand which is quality made.

puree attachments. All good. Last night I used the large food processing attachment bowl to make pesto. Unfortunately it just didn't make it fine enough, so I decided to transfer the mixture to a bowl and just use the stick blender which worked totally fine. The blender pulls apart easy and is easy to store, however with so many attachments it can need a lot of space in the end. My only downside to this blender is that some of the plastic attachments are very flimsy and delicate. I dropped the lid of the small chopper from my hands onto my bench and it already snapped and broke. Luckily I can still use the lid but it doesn't clip on anymore. All in all I am very happy with my choice and feel it is good quality for the price.
