Braun Multiquick MR 400

This gadget has earned it's place in a small kitchen – I just received this as a gift (re-gift I'm sure). It is awesome. I have used it to puree soups (in my soup pot on the stove), puree veggies for sauces, and chop chickpeas for a small batches of hummus. I haven't used the wisk yet...but I'm sure it would be helpful when I don't want to use my hand held flat wisk. If you have one, you have a handy, multi-tasking gadget. Show details
Good – overall it is handy to have in the drawer for smaller bits and pieces saves pulling out the large food processor for what you pay it does a great job handy for quick mixing and grinding does not take up much space not as good as the larger food processor for a lot of jobs
Good – This is a simple and very small kitchen aide. I dont expect it to do miracles and its worked great for making smoothies and for mashing my cooked veggies for my soups. I dont use it for anything else. Its easy to clean and super simple to use, probably because it really doesnt have a lot of functions. I only bought it because its Braun and because… Read more
it was on sale and it was a good buy for the kitchen. I bought this from Target many years ago because I didnt have a small mixer at home and it was on sale. It works well for making smoothies and for mashing cooked veggies for soups. It isnt for the really hard tough grinding, just simple mixing and its okay to use. I have to be careful when I am making a smoothie with it because if I take it out of the bowl or hold it a bit above the mixture, it splatters all over me.
OK – I need to update my previous review of this product as mine overheated and smoke came out, so I replaced it. Not to say that the product is bad, it has lasted for years (blending soups, nuts, bread crumbs) but I didn't use it that often. I bought another product after this and then realised how weak this blender was in comparison. It actually… Read more
didn't break but it overheated and started emitting smoke while I was blending a meat mixture, so if you are thinking to buy this one/or already use it, make sure not to do what I did! It just hasn't got the power to blend sticky things. It's fine for other uses I mentioned. Economical, good for light-use Low-power and cannot take too much blending, especially if it is too sticky.
Excellent – I bought it in 2003. It was rated Best product in a test group reviewed by a German independent testing institute. I used it originally to blend baby food (my sons refused tinned food, no matter which brand). That's the reason why I wanted the best product on the market. In the meantime, the blender has been used for pretty much everything:… Read more
vegetables, rice, meat, pesto, apple sauce, milk shakes, thick shakes, smoothies, crushed ice, potato and tomato soup, herbs ...
(Note: Be aware that you have to let it make its job, if you want crushed ice or smoothies, don't force the blender down.)
I am even surprised that it the plastic did not discolour yet. Very versatile. Great quality and reliable. Easy to use, easy to clean (dishwasher).
OK – Price is ok. If you need a quick and easy blender for small volume. this would be the one to consider. Bear in mind that you might need to clean your kitchen after using it as depends on what jug/ bowl you are using when you use this blender. it's easy to use and good for blending small cup of juice and herbs. it's just capable to blend small/ minor ingredients. You need a big blender for complicated stuffs.Messy when blending.
