Great product, good as laser, but not as painful – I usually don’t write reviews, but after using the Braun Pro 5 for 5 months now, I’m pretty much hair free, and this is coming from a hairy male. I’m into body building, yes I did get 3 treatments of laser before using this product, but that was after 12 month of hair regrown back. You do have to use every 2 days for the first week, then move to… Read more

every 4 day for 3 weeks, then once a week for 3 months and that’s as far my experience been.

I don’t have any hair what’s so all on my legs, chest stomach arms, and buttock, And now only using every two weeks, will try once a month in a month or two.

You do have to be persistent at the start, I use everyday of the week on different body parts, and yes it does take time, you can’t go too fast.

It’s pain free, not like laser, i couldn’t get laser, as my skin would blister really bad, and for $500, this would be one completely body charge for laser, and you have to do 10 times to hair reduction.

My only negative was that I dropped it when unwinding the cord, and it broke the button, I took it back to the shaver shop and they gave me a new one.

I would recommend this product, but not if you don’t have the time, like I said you have to put in the time, especially the first month.

Big waste of money and time – Purchased November 2022, used for about 8 weeks saw a reduction in hair but not elimination. Used sporadically since then but have never consistently used it for 12 weeks as recommended. Went to use it last week and it doesn't work anymore, it only flashes sporadically and not on demand like it used to. I know the bulbs have a limited number of… Read more

flashes, but I don't understand why mine no longer works when I never used it as frequently as directed in the instructions.

Completely effective total hair removal in 12 weeks - works as advertised! – Just completed my 12 week initial treatment, consisting of weekly IPL sessions, and cannot say how delighted I am at the results! Legs are totally hair free, and only a couple remain in the underarm area. I used the most intense setting on the legs as I could tolerate it, but for my underarms I used the second setting, so with a few more weeks… Read more

they might be totally hairless too. I noticed immediate slowing of growth in both areas from the first treatment, but the legs were quicker to become hair free - probably about by the 6th or 7th week. I am also Fitzpatrick skin type 1 with very dark brown hair, so a prime candidate for total hair removal as per the instructions. As others have described, the feeling is more like a rubberband flicking against the skin, so not too unpleasant. If you have been thinking about buying one of these for a while, do not hesitate! I wish I'd started earlier!

Noticeable decrease after 5 uses – This works great. I have been using it on my legs, and it's quite quick to cover all areas. I've noticed patchy hair regrowth (areas I've missed) so it is definitely working. One thing I've noticed is that the head can get quite warm after 5 minutes or so of use, and it seems to slow down the frequency of the flashes. The light can also feel a bit… Read more

intense especially behind the knee area but the intensity of the light can be adjusted, so this comes in handy. Overall I'm happy with the product, great value considering salon laser prices + the benefit of doing this in the privacy of your home.

So far so good – I've been getting laser for the last few years but could no longer justify the cost every treatment every 6 weeks so I stopped and after a few months started getting some regrowth so decided to give this a go, been using t once a week for a month now and have noticed my regrowth has slowed down again to where I was when I was getting regular laser treatments. So looks like it was a good investment. Show details

Well worth it – Easy to use and worth the investment. Use it once a week at the moment and find it has slowed hair regrowth and hair that grows back is finer making smoother skin Show details

Twelve Month Review – I have been using the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5 for over twelve months now and thought an update would help others. I quickly run the IPL over my legs, armpits, face and bikini line every few weeks. * My armpits have been virtually hair free Since the initial 12 week applications. * My legs still grow the odd hair and I put this down to the… Read more

different cycle of each hair follicle. This is very minimal and not noticeable to anyone else other than I. * My face has improved considerably, although I am fair. I do still need to pluck out the occasional stray hair on my chin and if I shaved my jaw first this would help improve the outcome. My face feels super smooth now and looks hair free. * My bikini line is better, although due to the texture of the hair, this is the least successful area and was to be expected. * My daughter has been using the IPL on her arms, with brilliant results and they are now virtually hair free (She shaves them first). After twelve weeks her legs have improved considerably also and with a quality tanning lotion look gorgeously smooth. In a nutshell, I still highly recommend the Braun Silk Expert Pro 5. The machine does require an initial 12 week commitment and then once or twice a month after that. I love the convenience of being able to use the IPL at home and my skin feels amazing. If you are prepared to follow the instructions and commit to the process, it is well and truly worthwhile purchasing. The IPL does not hurt, but the machine can get warm. I generally apply my tan after using the IPL. Finally, I see this device on special frequently, so it is worth waiting and shop around.

Save your money – I foolishly hung onto this past the 90day return period. I so wanted this to work given the price of it ($1000). I guess I should be grateful I got it half price. Initially it lightened the hair and slowed growth however nothing has changed since. I've been using this 6 months, three times a week and nothing..... Show details
