corrected them. They even called replacing their faulty product a “gesture of goodwill.”
Under NZ Consumer Law, a replacement for a faulty product within 90 days is not goodwill — it’s their legal obligation, including covering return shipping. Despite this, I’m still trying to return the device, and now they want me to pay for shipping or just issue a refund.
Their product is unreliable, and their service is unacceptable. Based on my experience, they are failing to meet their obligations under New Zealand consumer law.

I had an issue with my iluumi and I could not figure it out. black cord instead of the white one that had comes with the iluumi. I checked my set up and realised I had plugged the iluumi cord into my light up mirror and was trying to use the cord meant fie the mirror in my iluumi. I’m so glad my mix up did not damage the device. Once I change the cord to the correct one all was well and I am able to use my machine again. YAY. Thank you so much Amanda, I expected to not get a response until Monday due to the public holiday but I was presently surprised and grateful to be able to identify my problem in the same day it occurred. For anyone who might be considering this device, it’s fantastic. I have had professional IPL before and this device does not hurt at the highest setting due to the fantastic cooling tech. Professional IPL had more pain and irritation. Plus more expensive. Highly recommend.

Price comparison to salon laser treatment – I did buy it on sale on their website but it cost me $150 less than my last salon laser treatment alone..and they also gave me a free exfoliator glove at checkout and free shipping. permanently, you still need to go back every few months for a touch up session even once your 12 sessions are up... And if you don't maintain those, it just grows back eventually, especially for thick haired people. So no more awkward naked salon experiences and bookings hopefully.
Awesome product, good hair remover – I have been using this device for around 14 weeks. Started seeing some awesome results around the 6 week mark. I had to use the device up-to 3 days per week when I first started. I now use it around 2 times per month. In places hair is completely gone, other stubborn areas there is a little left, but has thinned out so much! Also the skin feels softer and tighter
