Breville Cafe Cordfree CMP12 Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a replacement knob for the top of my percolator. If anyone has a spare or even one in good used condition, I'd be very happy to pay for it plus postage, if not near me.

I have a Breville Cafe Cord Free Model CMP12 had it for years love it . But I moved to another city and the cord base didnt come with it. Do you have any spare bottoms . I can purchase. Regards Cherrill Cooper New Zealand

Looking for a replacement bace

There seems to be some demand for the plastic or glass knob for the lid but no where to purchase one. My Percolator is used every day and otherwise in great condition apart from the plastic knob that has been glued a couple of times already. Would really appreciate if a new knob is available.

Breville - bring this back please

Hi, I have this pot and (appears I'm not alone) have a cracked top glass insert that goes inside the lid (https://spares.bigwarehouse.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=64928_68675_68676&products_id=1730892) This part is impossible to get but I could glue it. The question is does anyone know of a food safe glue that I could use...I've googled for hours and can't find a simple answer.

Hi everyone, I agree, the Breville CMP12 is the best percolator and shame they took it off the market. The other reason for my post is that during a recent house move, the base got lost so I am left with only the body of the machine. If anyone has a base/cord they no longer use and would be prepared to sell, I would really appreciate it. Obviously I would pay for the postage. I have only used it a few times, which makes me extra devastated. Thank you and I look forward to someone’s positive reply. Where can I purchase the plastic lid knob for my Breville Cafe Cordless coffee percolator. The original was grass but replacement was plastic and all I can find is that they’re out of manufacture and out of stock of main suppliers. Can another lid be substituted, Cheers John

I agree with all your feedback Breville!! no response whatsoever to the many like me, who want to know when you are going to return this wonderful percolator to the market - or, what you have replaced it with? To any interested people, we have used ours as a teasmade for many years - it is the right size for beside the bed and is an excellent product.

Why has it been discontinued? Over the past years, we’ve used this machine and it’s marvellous ! Our latest one has just ‘given up’ and was so disappointed to not be able to find another.

I just love this percolator but when it goes I thought I'd get a coffee maker with a filter as it's much healthier for us. I've read tho that this doesn't require a filter......does it really filter it sufficiently? .......as well as a paper filter would?

Does it take fine or coarse grind beans?

What sort of coffee does this coffee maker use?

It would be great if Breville took note that they need to bring back the electric bubbling percolator with a couple of improvements..... a glass nob for the lid so it doesn't break all the time and also a dial for coffee strength (like the old Sunbeam used to have decades ago) which allows you to set to weak, medium and strong. Great for those of us who like it vary the strength.
