Breville Super Wizz Duo FP30

A handy kitchen appliance! – Have had many years of use and processor still works as new. Certainly very handy for onions and potatoes. The blender however has worn its turn part. It would be good if suppliers still could provide replacement parts even though the appliance has been discontinued. Otherwise a parts swap page would be handy. Show details
Very beautiful and helpful food processor at great value – I use the food processor and find out the multi function for making the preparation of meals quickly. It's a bit hard to learn how to assemble the new machine at first for me but I like the spendid results. I highly recommend to buy this Breville food processor for modern small family. Show details
Good, lid not great to clean – Good machine, lots of extras bits and pieces that I never really use but I like that I can if I want. Good longevity, going strong since 2009. lid is a bit tricky to clean well but overall a good piece of kit. Pretty compact considering all of its bells and whistles. Show details
Absolutely love my Breville Super Wizz – Absolutely love my Breville Super Wizz, Ive owned mine for about 10 years now and it works perfectly. Only fault is the plastic bowl isn't the greatest made, it cracked within a few uses. Its hard to get on and off, but although it has a split, its still sound and useful. Never used the grater parts, just as a blender or mixer. Show details
Professional processing if needed! – I have one of these as a gift and it is very helpful if you need to get a full on processing experience happening but for only a small amount of food needed you are better off with a smaller machine.Overall though it does a good job and I`m happy with it... Chainsaw Masacre – Bought this because of all the things it could supposedly do, but basically all it could do was mulch. Try to grate cheese, and simply got cheese paste, not to mention the difficulty cleaning. Try to make chips, and the best it could do was shred the potato manically. (Would have been ok for making hashbrowns.) Try to make minced meat, and the… Read more
lower portion is reduced to a puree before the top is even chopped.
Tried to “Julienne” carrots, and got pulp.
Essentially the problem seemed to be that even on the slowest setting, the blades were furious and would completely macerate everything within seconds.
And did I mention what a pig it was to clean?
And the blender, OMG. We opted for this unit because our blender was ancient and making funny smells. The Breville unit creamed like a banshee. I kept checking because I thought it must be on wrong to make such a noise.
Noisy, hard to clean, mascerated everthing.
second wizz in 20+ years – I am happy so far after 2+ years of owning a new Wizz- after reading other reviews it's a bit disturbing! My first basic Wizz finally died after over 20 years of consistent family use, including grating. I had to buy one replacement bowl in that time. The spare parts/repairer said to hold onto the machine as long as possible as it had a great… Read more · 5
motor. It had a LOT of work.
I understand the frustration re not being able to operate the Wizz bowl and the blender easily, but I appreciate the safety of not being able to just turn it on, esp. if I had children around.
Cleaning IS fussy- I too find the lid frustrating at times, but I've got used to that after the first model ! I use a dish brush to get into crevices, without any problems. I also would like to be confident about putting parts in my (first) dishwasher.
Overall, despite not using the blender or the graters often, I am still happy with my purchase. Strong motor, efficient Lid rim is still too fussy for cleaning. Perhaps a special cleaning tool for inside the blade shaft?
Bad – Wouldn't buy again due to concerns about safety and expense/difficulty replacing parts. Have upgraded the blender to a super blender (2 hp) and will be looking for a more heavy duty processor with unbreakable plastic. 800 Watt motor is good. Liked it when I first got it because had the blender as well as the processor and the blades stored within… Read more
the machine however........... The plastic circle you insert the blades into split after only 14 months & wasn't easy to get a replacement.
At the weekend the lid "exploded" splitting and shearing totally above the join line while grating carrots - shooting the contents and the blade/lid etc all over the kitchen - fortunately no-one was injured but this was very dangerous.
Good – I have had mine for 2 years and found it good for all applications but annoyed at the design of the jug. It says dishwasher safe, but I have had some issues with my bowl not tripping the start switch, which the repairer said was due to the bowlshape changing from being in the dishwasher. powerful, large jug, large bowl small tabs on base of jug to hold it it. They broke off and a new jug was $75!
Excellent – excellent EXCEPT that you have a filthy rim all the time. I wonder if it is a health hazard? I am looking for a forum to post a couple of pictures of it. that is just a stupid design that should be fixed. I don't put mine in the dishwasher and always clean it immediately which is why this feature annoys me so much! surely it can be fixed with a… Read more
rubber ring that you can remove to clean it. thanks for reading and hapy hunting. overall I would buy it again. almost everything! After the first time I used it when I arranged my warranty online I asked the manufacture how to clean the rubber ring of the bowl. no response.
