Comfort and Safety – My child is very happy in their MGP. It’s a comfortable and cushy cover, but also doesn’t have them overheating in summer. The silver straps surprisingly haven’t stained and it’s seen a few spills and accidents over the last 12 months. The easy adjust headrest is so convenient to get the perfect fit, and I have no trouble taking the seat in and out for cleaning or occasional use in another vehicle. Very easy to get a good install. I chose this model for the added side impact protection and extended harnessing. It doesn’t often go on sale but I managed to price match another stores sale with baby bunting.

Analysed and voted against Maxi Guard PRO but ended up buying its peer Millennia SICT – This car sear is all that you can ask for. We had compared it and our purchase was almost final but we came across Britax Safe n Sound Millenia SICT. Maxi Guard PRO car sear is better in all terms as compared to its peer Millennia SICT except that Maxi Guard PRO is a forward facing car seat. There is no way your 6 month old bub will sit in a forward facing car seat starting their 6th or even 7th month. The bub is just stabilizing their senses and I feel it is too dangerous for the bub to sit in a forward facing car seat at least before 1- 1.5 years of age (may be more).

The best part is the age group and most of the people that have bought give good reviews about it. It also gives certain seating positions but I did heard a lot of parents complaining that their bub throws their neck while sleeping. We though that would be dangerous to even a 2 - 2.5 year old and unfortunately, we decided against it and bought its peer over it. Yes, the peer is upto 4 years of age unlike Maxi Guard PRO but that is the cost we are willing to bear in order to see our bub safe and sound.

It would be worthy to note that we were upgrading from Maxi Cosi and our bub was 5 months when he was a bit uncomfortable in the maxi cosi capsule. However, the padding seems much better in the Millennia and we cannot be more happier.

This is my third Britax car seat purchase and as per usual, it hasn't disappointed. I really wanted to continue with a 5 point harness for as long as possible so I was really happy to find an option for up to 8yrs old. Top features for us: - Quick and easy installation - Durable (1.5yrs so far and no wear and tear) - Decent padding and arm rests makes for a comfortable ride - Cup holders are a welcome addition Highly recommended!! Show details ·  1

Great seat but worst customer service – Good car seat but customer service is not! Like the seat, sturdy and comfy for my daughter. However, two months ago (July2024) the belt buckle wasn’t click then I emailed Britax if they could help and sent me a new crouch buckle. I didn’t keep a receipt as I bought it in 2020. Car seat warranty for 5 years and it was manufactured in Dec2019 on… Read more

label. They kept asking for receipt even though I showed them the manufacturer label and they said they couldn’t help without the receipt which was not sensible as the seat was obviously still in 5 years warranty from manufacturer date. Fortunately, I emailed Baby bunting customer service and they could find my receipt for me so I could receive a warranty service from Britax which was a crouch buckle for the belt that properly cost them $10 for $478 car seat!!!

The chair comes with inserts that are highly prone to mould. If your child spills water or milk (as most do—unless you’ve got a special edition who doesn’t drink in the car on long drives), mould will quickly develop and spread inside the chair. The materials used make it almost impossible to clean properly, so the issue persists. Britax has… Read more

declined to take responsibility for the poor material choice and instead offered replacement inserts for $50 AUD (for our two chairs).

Quality, comfortable car seat – I purchased this car seat for my daughter when she turned three and intend to use it until she outgrows it! I wanted a seat that was high quality, comfortable, safe and looked good. After looking around the Britax was definitely a clear winner. The recline function is a big benefit as my daughter prefers to relax in the car, and this allows for… Read more ·  1

multiple positions. Another favourite feature of hers is the fold out cup holders - whilst they are perhaps a little on the small side and don’t fit some of the larger water bottles, it’s a good feature none the less. We’ve been using the seat for approx 18 months now and it has held up amazingly well. It’s been washed regularly after yoghurt, sand and the usual toddler activities have made it a bit grubby, and it comes up great every time. Living in qld I was really conscious of synthetic fabrics getting a bit warm, but the material on this seat seems to breathe well and my daughter hasn’t complained of being hot. The height adjusters could not be easier to use, and can be done in a flash. I’ve seen some reviews about no isofix (which would be great!) but I understand that’s not an approved feature in seats for children over 4 years. Overall great seat and I’m looking to purchase another in the near future for my son!

Amazing seat but I think the age should be 2 years - 8 years not 6 months - 8 years – PROS: - Not too hard to install. - Daughter seems comfortable. - Beautiful gender neutral seat design. - Has cup holders. - Can recline (we have ours in the recline position and haven't had any issues with her head flopping forward or anything like that while she sleeps). - LOVE that the age goes until 8 years or when the child meets the marker,… Read more ·  1

big reason why we bought this seat as I think it's great value for money.

CONS: - Only sits properly/safely in the middle seat of our back seat due to recline bar the bar under the back. - The age for the car seat is 6 months- 8 years but personally I would not put my child under 12 months in the seat, it's not reclined enough for the lack of head control they have at that age, my daughter was 13 months when we put her in this seat and even now that she is 22 months I think I would have much preferred the Graphine or Millenia Britax Seats for 0-4 years instead as they have more support on the sides.

Overall we love this seat for our daughter but I do wish I had of waited until at least 2 years of age to put my daughter in this seat.

My daughter loves her new seat could have used a quick install guide and child proofing on the release – We chose a Britax seat as we have used them for all our previous car seats and have been very happy with them so far. I think in the long run this seat will serve us as well as the baby capsule and rear facing under 4yo seat that is now being used by our next child. Having only installed ISOFIX seats up until this point it was a bit of a shock to… Read more ·  1

find out that under Australian Law ISOFIX is not allowed in car seats that go above the age of 4yo!

I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 because I felt the manual was a little over complicated and could have used a 5 bullet point quick install guide with tips like don't pull belt before threading as it will cause it to lock repeatedly resulting in swearing!

The chair it self seems good and my daughter loves it. Unfortunately she has already figured out how to release her belt - Some kind of anti-child tamper would be really helpful on this as she is only 2.5yo and is struggling to understand why on a long journey she shouldn't release herself and join daddy in the front of the car! That said I don't know what the laws on such things state.

We did not buy this one originally as the recommendation is that children under the age of 2yo should be rear facing however the law only requires it for under 6 months and our other Britax seat will go both ways around but only up to the age of 4yo.

Perfect and comfy – We got a britax graphine as a first seat and bought this for our second car seat from baby bunting. Our little one prefers this one then the graphine. 1 yr old seems comfy an naps well when sleepy. Overall graphine and maxi guard both are amazing. If your child loves forward facing then get this as it lasts 8 yrs. Don’t compromise as kids deserves the best. Show details ·  1

Tiny bit bulky in small car but great for a large child – FULLY HARNEDESSED CHILD SEAT ♡♡♡♡ My kid is LARGE and he fits comfortably and easily into this seat with growing room. is a must for boys!! Pinching that area is scary but not an issue with this seat. Sits very upright in my car so not great if child falls asleep often, but as mine doesn't he loves how grown up he feels. Last of all fabric is held up way better than any other car seats I've seen. Highly recommended for: larger kids, babysitter/grandparent who need to change size easily for multiple children Don't recommend for: super small compact cars, young or very tiny kids(although the inserts may help with this idk), kids who always fall asleep when driving .

My 4 year old has already outgrown this seat – My son was in a Britax Millenia which we loved however was quite tall so we outgrew it at 3 years rather than four. So we switched to the Britax Maxi Guard pro a year ago which is marketed for 0-8 years. Silly me didn’t check the height marker as I figured he would have quite a bit of time left in it seeing as it is marketed up until 8 years,… Read more

however he’s already outgrown it! I figured that he would outgrow it sooner as he is quite tall but didn’t think it would be many years sooner than what’s advertised. Make sure you don’t make the same mistake when purchasing and check height markers beforehand.

Wish I could rate it more, but design is unsafe! – The button is a magnet for my kids to lengthen the straps to remove themselves from the seat/compromise the safety of the harness because it's been made too loose. The recline can only be set or not, no ability to adjust in-the-car, and the seat length is terrible for kids hips and legs (and therefore overall comfort) as it's like being perched ont he edge of a stool with legs dangling. The colour and fabric is nice - I wish that was enough.

It’s good but the drink holders are a joke… – Have always used Britax. Love their seats. The kids love them. Had to upgrade for my toddler and I loved the arm rests, cup holders so I didn’t have to keep passing his water. Just installed the car seat only to find the cup holders are an oval shape?! Can’t fit anything in them due to the oval shape! Ridiculous considering the money spent. Show details ·  1

Great Harnessed Booster Seat – We’ve been using this seat for our kids for a few years now. They are easy to install, the children love them, fabrics are easy to clean and quick to dry. I like that they can remain harnessed for longer (like 8 to 10 years old). Easy strap adjustment as the child grows. We actually have 4 of these seats across two vehicles. Would be good if Britax made their seats more affordable though… Show details ·  1

Shocked there is no ISOFIX!! – This is a lovey car seat and very comfy for our little guy especially when we do a lot of long trips. Excellent – Own two of this now. Planning to buy a 3rd one. Pricey but very safe and comfortable. Easily adjustable head height to suit 1.5 and 3.5yo. Like the pouch at the front. I store socks and snacks there! Found the bottle holder a little small and won't fit standard kids drink bottle. Show details ·  1

Perfect carseat – My 2 year old is very comfortable in this seat, especially when I look at how u comfortable he is in a different seat he uses in a backup car. Great car seat – Beautifully made seat that my toddler loves. He is really comfortable and the cup holders aren’t too far for him to reach.
