great booster seat – This seat caved my 4 yr olds life when we were in a roll over 4 yrs ago when we were t boned and then rolled 3 times..the seat did its job, it completely disintegrated around her as it took the impact..my daughter didnt even have a seatbelt mark or scratch on her...thanks safe n sound for a great product..
Not safe IMO – Very disappointed with polystyrene inner breaking in half after only having seat a month. If it breaks this easy after my son lightly falling on it, imagine what it does in an accident!! Lightweight, easy to get in and out of car. Polystyrene broke after having it 1 month.
Good – This a a great booster seat to have for the grandparents cars. It's so easy to use, they can't get it wrong!! As it's a lightweight foam booster it doesn't need to be tethered. The seatbelt locator is easy to use and helps position the belt away from the neck. If I needed a booster for everyday use I would prefer to buy a tethered booster such… Read more
as the SnS Hilinger SG but for occasional use and especially for relatives the Pegasus is a great booster seat. Easy to install
Easy to use
Ligthweight
Under $100
Seatbelt locator helps locate the sash belt away from the neck. Non-tethered
OK – Looks great, works well - but does not last. I think, after my third one, there is a fault in the strength of the back when you have to move it in and out of cars - it's fine if it's going to stay in the same car all the time, and not be moved, but if it needs to be moved heaps - don't touch it! Nice looking, practical, anti submarine clip works… Read more
well if you turn it around the wrong way - that way it's not so easy for kids fingers to pull belt out. I am on my third one in a year - the back is weak and has snapped in exactly the same place each time (where the base joins with the back)
Excellent – i love this booster seat. it is in my opnion one of the beast booster seats out there. i would definetely buy this again when our new baby is older!! great adjustable head cushion, anti submarine clip is great and the seat belt is kept away from the childs neck. it is a good size especially for bigger kids and is easy to move in and out of your… Read more
car. we have had ours for over two years and it is still in great condition. the side pockets have really come in handy as our daughter has gotten older.
Good – Great booster seat to last the life of a child. Lots of features and adjustments to make it fit your child correctly, so they are the safest they can be while traveling in the car. It has a great high back and plenty of space width ways too, so I won't have to buy another booster seat for my son - it will last him until he is too old/big to need… Read more
one. The anti-submarine clip is great, making the lap part of the belt sit in the correct position on the thighs and also makes sure they sit upright correctly in the seat and don't slide their bottom forwards. The seat belt guide for the sash part of the belt also works well making sure the belt does not go across the neck, but comes over the shoulder. This guide has a couple of height adjustments, so can be moved to suit the height of your child as they grow. It also has slots in the back which you can put a safety harness through, again with a couple of heights so it can be adjusted as the child grows. Because it is nice and wide, it means that it does take up a bit of seat space and can't fit three seats together in the back of the car.
OK – A great option for a foam (polystyrene) booster. It's got great guides for the seatbelt, is nice and tall and can be easily transferred from car to car. Seat belt guides for shoulder and antisubmarine clip (now called "slideguard") are fantastic. The seatbelt sits neatly on the child's shoulder and the slideguard means the lap part literally… Read more
cannot sit in the wrong place (up on their tummy). Tall for a foam booster. Limited height. It's the tallest of the foam boosters, but there are plastic boosters with adjustable headrests that go much taller (meaning kids don't grow out of them so quickly). The polystyrene needs the support of the car, so if it's sat on or pushed on outside of the car it can snap. Quite wide, so if you need to fit other seats or people it's not the best option.
Excellent Booster for large Pre-schoolers! – This seat is light weight and easy to install. Reccommended for the older/larger pre-schooler, teamed with a properly installed H-Harness. The anti-submarine clip is a must have feature of a self standing booster to accommodate the H-Harness and keep it sitting exactly where it should. The added bonus of the head pillow, side pockets and wide base make for a very comfortable seat for a child. Inexpensive, lightweight, attractive
Comfort for my kids – This seat has been easy to use and comfortable from the day I bought it. We've tried other seats but this has been the only one that none of my kids has complained about. I had to take the head cushion off as it was pushing my daughter's head forward when she fell asleep, but it was just getting in the way anyway. Really comfortable for ages 4 to 7, light and easy to move Very wide, difficult to fit 3 seats accross
Good – yet another fantastic product by safe and sound. I love this seat and my kids think it is great, i would not buy any other brand. high backed, can out safe and sound H harness through this seat with ease, can also be used with regular seat belt, comfortable
OK – Again, for the price (around $110) at baby bunting, the seat does its job...we will have to look at purchasing, or making some sort of head rest for him when he sleeps. For the price you pay, this seat is pretty good. My 2 year old was quite happy sitting in the new seat. The backrest is quite high and should last us until he no longer requires… Read more
a booster seat. The anti-submarine clip is also a good idea to stop them from slipping under. The seat also look good, and is easily moved from one car to the other. When the seat was put into the car, it was obvious that it didn't sit flat, with the back of the booster slightly lifting up. The anti-submarine clip is also easily undone, especially with little wandering finders. The other thing is, when he falls asleep, his head has no-where to rest. He head ends up dropping forward, and looks very uncomfortable.
Good – A lot cheaper than the maxi rider but still ensures the belt is held correctly against your child. Very comfortable for the child with plenty og slots for growth. Seat belts are held in place with clips to suit your child Seat belts tend to twist a lot
Excellent – This is great, it has the extra clips such as the submarine clip to hold the child in place stopping them from sliding through. The shoulder clip can be moved from the left shoulder to the right depending on the side of the car the seat is on. Very easy to use, lasts well, cleans well and doesn't take up a lot of room in the car either. Seems… Read more
to be well made, so far surviving 2nd child and still looks relatively new. Lightweight, very easy to move from car to car or from one side of the car to the other.
Nice and soft quite cushy. Haven't found anything yet.

Know better, choose better.
Bad – we were very happy with it until it broke !we have two safensound maxiriders and two[now one pegasus].we do find the head wings poor support for a sleeping child. Anita sub clip and shoulder strap clip washable covers polystyrene snapped through completely when car seat was reclined under it and no replacement inserts are available.
Bad – Good idea, just poor design execution. We like to situate car seats in the centre position, to allow easy access from both back doors. Unfortunately, this seat is a dangerous obstruction to the driver's vision. My son found it comfortable and gave him good vision of what is going on around him. It obstructs the driver's rear view mirror vision,… Read more
by up to 40% in some cars, when placed in centre seat position. The harness is difficult to manouvre, and caused my child some distress whilst strapping him in. The anti-sumbarining device is also difficult to operate.
OK – We use this with a harness and it works fine. Biggest issue is that my 2 year old finds it difficult to sleep in, as his head can't rest comfortably on the sides. We'll have to look at some sort of neck support until he's older. Simple to install Bit awkward to buckle up, difficult to sleep in
