Our daughter seems to love it – This is easy enough to use, our daughter seems to love it, and it says it's safe. Of course our daughter wanted the pink one, ha ha. It fits in well in our car. We put this one in our VW Amarok and now have 3 seats across the back of it - x1 Britax Safe N Sound Meridian AHR (rearward facing for the baby), x1 Infasecure Evolve Caprice for the 3… Read more

year old, and the Hi-Liner SG in the middle for the 4 1/2 year old. It fits well due to one seat being wider at the top vs the bottom and no-one is squashed. Even the cup holders can still be used.

My amazing husband even managed to get 3 seats across the back of my Suzuki Kizashi! That was unexpected - x1 Britax Safe N Sound Meridian AHR (forward facing), x1 Infasecure Evolve Caprice (in the middle) and x1 Steelcraft Strider capsule (rearward facing). So it can be done, you just need to have the right angles, I suppose.

We didn't get the harness for the Hi-Liner as there haven't been great reviews about that one, but our daughter seemed very safe without it and enjoyed hooking the lapsash into the antisubmarining clip herself.

No-one's heads are nodding forwards in any of the seats while sleeping because my husband used a couple of towels strategically placed under the seats to get them just right. HOWEVER, my daughter's head ends up in a weird position because of the seatbelt across the body in this Britax seat - it looks so uncomfortable with her chest forward and her head tilted back! Hence we've moved her back into the Infasecure Evolve Caprice seat with a proper harness - and when she sleeps, her head is fine now. I think it's the seatbelt across the body that's the problem with the Britax one - it jams the torso so that the head and neck can't move properly. At least it does with my daughter, and she's only 5 but the size of a 6 year old. With the Infasecure seat, the inbuilt harness works better for her. I'd say stick with a child seat with an inbuilt harness if you're not sure. It's more balanced for the child's body. And it's actually WAY easier to undo a harness at bellybutton position than reaching down into the depths between two carseats to find the wretched button release!

Think it was $164 from Baby Bunting in Fyshwick (ACT).

When you need 3 carseats in a row – When I knew we would have a baby, a toddler and a preschooler in carseats I had to start looking for a new car and new carseats. I did a great deal of research at dealerships and baby stores and on NRMA's useful webpages, and ultimately arrived at a solution for us. For the preschooler seat I initially went out and bought a *different* booster… Read more ·  1

to this, because it was equal-ranked at the top of the booster seat list in the CREP safety tests (4 stars) and according to NRMA it was the narrowest booster at a width of 320mm. But when I measured that booster (the Vario Kid) it was 420mm wide across the armrests (and 440mm across the shoulders). Still that was the narrowest so I brought it home. But then I found the armrests actually went too far forward and interfered with the adjacent carseat.

That's when I went and tried out a SnS HiLiner. It's 450mm wide, but it has very compact armrests, which don't bump up against the adjacent seat for us. It's also equal-ranked at the top of the booster seat list in the CREP safety tests (4 stars). It's easy to put in and out of the car. We have the version with the anti-submarining clip and that's a good safety addition. Just a simple clip up over the lap belt. And it's a very tidy, easy to operate seat. It's stayed looking like new for 2 years now. It's worked well for a tall 4-year-old and a tall 6-year-old. And it fits in the car!

It fits easily in the backseat of a Hyundai Santa Fe (along with a new-version SnS Meridian AHR, forward facing in the middle, and a Hipod Senator with 5-point harness at the other door) - we don't graze our hands when we do up the seat belt.

I would definitely recommend going and trying out carseat combinations at shops and showrooms if you need 3 in a row, because it's really a bit of a 'jigsaw' exercise rather than just finding out which is the narrowest. Also some of the measurements on the web and in manuals are not quite accurate or not the relevant width.

But if you want to do some web research first, take a look at the page where NRMA has tested 3 carseats in a row in lots of different models of cars. [URL removed] (somewhat obscurely listed as a "child restraint fitting guide"). Lots of useful specs and photos there.

Another interesting thing to note, I actually called the guy who does the CREP testing of the carseats because I wanted to ask about using the "H-harness" or "Protecta harness" with the booster seats. He said that they do *not* use those harnesses on the boosters when they do the testing and their results/recommendations relate only to using the boosters with a normal seat belt. Equal-top ranking for safety, narrow enough to fit 3 in a row, easy to operate, durable, stays looking good over time, easy to get in and out of the car

Excellent – We bought this seat as our 3rd seat as we had a second child on the way. Our son was 15kg (2 years), and so we were not sure whether to buy another Maxi Rider AHR or this. We chose this due to it's lightness and ability to expand to suit him for many years to come. We fitted this with a Protector harness. It fits quite easily if you follow… Read more

the instructions to get the harness the right length. The slideguard clip does a great job in keeping the harness centered and low on our toddler. The seat itself if very light, and easy to move from car to car. The arm rests are large enough to be useful, but do not prevent our toddler from easily climbing in. The seat is much narrower than the Maxi Rider, so will be ok when we are trying to fit 3 seats in the back of the car. It's easily adjustable for height. Simple to install. Bottom hinge adapts to car seat angle. Security when used with harness & slideguard clip. Light. Compact - low height makes it easy for child to climb in.

Great booster seat for my 5yo – My 5yo outgrew his car seat so we decided on the Britax Safe-n-Sound Hi-Liner SG after doing some research. It has a very good safety rating and it's reasonably priced. We purchased from Pearce's Child Restraints which installed for us for a small fee. The Pearce consultant was very thorough with his explanation on how to move the car seat from… Read more ·  1

car to car and how to ensure the child is strapped in properly. As a result, we found this booster seat super easy to use and have not had to read the manual to date. We have moved it between our cars and the grandparent's cars and found the installation very easy. My 5yo loves the seat, especially the two cupholders which he uses to store his hot wheels. My 5yo can now do up and take off the seat belt by himself so school pick up and drop off will be very easy. Has a a decent range of colours too, we have a neutral grey/black seat.

Generally good unless you have lots of kids – We purchased our Hi-Liner SG for our oldest child, we have two younger kids in car seats and sit them three across in the middle row of seats. Generally speaking the seat is really good. Seems comfortable and easy enough to fit. The main problem is that when you've got three seats next to each other, the booster's seatbelt connection is buried… Read more

right down between two of the seats and you have to jam your hand right down to connect the belt. With normal car seats (that have the full child harness) you only have to attach the car's seatbelt once when you fit the seat and then each time the kid gets in or out you just press the button on the child's harness. With the booster you have to get in between the seats every time the kid gets in or out which is a real pain, particularly because the seatbelt buckle is so far down that my son can't buckle it himself. We were told that purchasing the Protector Plus would convert it to a normal car seat harness but all it does it add shoulder straps, it doesn't add a buckle on the harness that is easy to get to. I expect that all boosters have the same issue and it's only a problem if you have three seats next to each other but it is a real pain. Reasonable price Really difficult to buckle the child in or out if there are three seats next to each other.

Don't know why I bothered – I purchased this booster for my 7 yr old as he had goten to big for his maxi rider & I wasnt keen on using our 'spare' SnS pegasus as an everyday booster & was not content with him coming out of a booster all together even though our law states he can. After 4 months of use, I have taken it out of the car, washed the cover & its now ready to… Read more

be sold to a new home!

My child often complains that it is uncomfortable. I dont think it looks to comfy either. He does not like the head rest, in the way that the sides 'wrap around' his ears/face. On long trips he used to fall alseep in the maxi rider no problems. He is yet to fall asleep in this booster.

We have a SnS Guardian carseat in the middle position & then the hi-liner next to it on the passanger side. It is a not good fit. The right hand drink holder is impossible to use because of the baby seat & when the door is shut the left hand drink holder becomes restricted in use.

My main issue is the seatbelt. OMG. The seatbelt constantly twists as you pull it out, through the sash guide ready to click in. Clicking it in is some days IMPOSSIBLE. Mr 7 often remarks "Lets see if the seatbelt likes us today Mum!" Lucky we have a seatbelt guard on the babyseat so that we do not accidently unlick it while trying to click the 7 yr old in.

We do not know what to go with next. We might give not using a booster a go & just use the SnS Pegasus on long trips, for the added safety & elevating Mr 7 so he can see out the window etc. The removable, washable cover & the range of colours. The red colour coded seatbelt paths. Tether strap that secures to the cars anchor point. Child is uncomfortable, does not like the style of the headrest. Arm rests do not pivot like on a maxi-rider. Drink holders hard to access when a babyseat is fitted next to the booster and the door shut. seat belt constantly twists when trying to pull it out to click child in.

Wide base makes buckling in tricky – Big fan of Britax and quality is superb on every single one. However the base on the Hi-Liner SG is very wide, and obstructs the belt buckle receptacle on our Tesla Model 3. We found a narrower seat for this car (Maxi Cosi Rodi) and continue to use the Britax in a bigger car. Our 5yo struggled with the anti-submarining buckle at first, but quickly got the hang of it. He finds it very comfortable and especially loves the pull-out cupholders. Show details

Great booster seat! – Out of all the booster seats I've looked at this was the best one. Has a slot for the sash part of the seat belt to go through so it sits right and the lap part of the seat belt also has a bit for it to go through, so that if you were in an accident then the seat belt wouldn't be able to do internal damage or not as much anyways. My daughter… Read more

lovers it before I got it I took her into a baby shop to sit in one to make sure it was okay for her to sit in. Once I had checked that it was all good I waited a few weeks then ordered it online which it actually arrived pretty quickly. I installed it as soon as I could and she couldn't wait to use it. She loves being in a big girl seat and it comes in a range of colours which is a bonus. Great booster seat which out the 5 point harness but you can attach one if you want to.

Great booster seat – Very happy with this booster seat. My son looks comfortable in it and loves his big boy seat. It was easy to instal and is very easy to use. I purchased the black seat and am very happy with it. I like that it has side pockets where I can place my keys while I get my son belted in. Purchased this seat because I wanted a safe seat for my son.

Can't go wrong with Safe-n-Sound – it is a perfect size for my girl. Very easy to clean and wash and to move to other seat. Spacey and roomy so that my girl has enough space to move her body and her head. When she sleeps, she can easily lean her head on the side of the booster.

Perfect Booster – We purchased this booster seat for our 4yr when our baby was ready to transition. Its been so great. So easy to put in and out of different cars. Still really secure. We let her choose her colour. There were 3 colours to choose from. Nice and light to carry also.

Excellent – We bought 2 of these for our children. They thought they were very comfortable and were in no rush to get out of them! Easily washed when there were the inevitable spills and came up like new. They are also narrow enough that with 2 in the rear someone could sit between them.

Great seat for a fast growing child – My son loves his new seat. He’s a fast growing boy so this chair will last him well. It was easy to install and it’s easy to click my son in. Only the cup holders a a bit hard to slid out and my son needs help with this which is a hasstle when he needs it while driving but it’s not too common.

a good buy – I bought a few booster seats in past and this is so far the best one. I found this to be secure, comfortable and doesn't take up too much space in my car. The one we bought has a blue colour cover and the fabric is of good quality and no fading of the fabric.  Show reply

Great seat – Very happy with this seat for my daughter. It's really easy to put in and out of the car and adjust the size for her growth spurts! She's nearly 8yrs old and still fits comfortably. The fabric is lasting well even though it's been through the wash a few times.  Show reply

Great car seat for your ever growing child – Awesome car seat. Easy to take in or out when you need to. The cup holders that pop in and out on both sides when you need them are great and useful. The colours available are great to get your child to choose their own. The arm rests are handy and practical.

Simple and easy to install – Just recently purchased one of these for my 4 year old. Easy to install and easy to use, also doesn't take up too much room (have had this issue in the past). My little one loves the drink holders and the fact that he can have a blue seat. I'm definitely a fan of the britax safe and sound child seat range.

Best booster kids – This the best booster seat we have. It provides safety and comfort my daughter, and you can adjust the height so it can last longer than other booster/car seat. It has the highest rating on safety. My 6 years old can put her own seat belt. It has cup holder that also a bonus.

Best kids product we bought – This is the BEST car seat, hands down. Was really good value ($169 on sale at baby bunting), our 4 year old can do he own belt up in it and it is really comfy for him. We previously had the maxi cosi Goliath which was a five point harness and not great.

Booster seat does the job – I purchased this seat for my daughter and it has lasted well. I've only got 10 months left of needing it and don't doubt that I'll be able to sell it again once I am done with it. Doesn't look out of place, easy to move around between cars and easy to clean.

good size – I like this car seat because it is light, It is comfortable for my 6 year old. I will continue to use it until she grows out of it, perhaps another 2 or 3 years. The strap holder makes it safer than other booster seats, it stops the child from sliding forward.
