Britax Safe-n-Sound Tourer

Don’t bother purchasing – Terrible seat! We needed a new booster for our second car as my 8 year old has out grown her car seat, but doesn’t meet all the safety checks to not use one anymore. I chose this one, as being for a Ute it’s much easier to remove when not needed being an untethered seat, and thought now she is 8 it should be fine. However at every corner the seat… Read more
tips. I have a spare travel booster (also untethered) in our main car for when she has friends over that folds up, and that one is actually way better. I wish I would have just purchased another one of those, it would have save me $50 as well!!
Disappointed – So disappointed! This seat tips on every corner even at low speeds. You would need to jam something heavy up against it to prevent it from tipping. It certainly wasn’t cheap in comparison to other non tethered boosters and am shocked it meets Australian standards. Disappointed Britax have made a booster of such poor quality. Little support, tips easily – My son is 5 1/2 and tall but very slim. I bought this model over cheaper ones from baby bunting due to the anti submarining clip but my son just slides it off so it's quite useless. The seat belt does not cover him adequately across the chest and as reviewers have stated the seat tends to fall over qhen you turn corners... at slow speed. its… Read more
really worrying driving with him not being held in properly. Works okay without tipping in the 3rd row of our suv but no good in second row which is where he sits 90% of time. I am going to try putting a thin cushion behind him to see if that helps the seatbelt hold him more snugly across the chest. If not I will turf the item as I can't in good conscious sell to someone else... might work better for a heavier child perhaps.

Avoid At All Costs – I purchased this seat for my 5 year old this morning. The seat was a perfect fit for her..... but then we put it in the car and left the store, first corner we went around the seat literally tipped over, so I turned back around and returned it to the store. To say I’m shocked and disappointed that britax would sell a seat so unsafe is an understatement. I 100% do not recommend this seat. Show details

Perfect for occasional use – I needed an untethered seat for my long torso, solid built 5 year old (nearly 6 year old). He moulds nicely into this seat. And has plenty of height before reaching exit height. I would not put a younger child in it, other options would be safer. It's easy to clip the child in. Extra safety feature of anti submerge buckle is comforting for the… Read more · 1
parents. It seems more sturdy than the competition seats in same range. Although it doesn't collapse to be 'thrown in the boot' taking a bit more room. Fabric is soft and durable. Not nylon-like on other booster options. I would definitely repurchase from baby bunting as I price matched it to $75.
It’s ok – The size just fits my 4 years old son, there is no side support so my son can move more freely and at the same time safely. Great value, would recommend to mothers who are seeking for car seat that can allow your son to move more freely. Show details · 1
Worst booster seat – I recently bought this for for my 4 yr old grandson. It has no side head support. He fell asleep and the seat tipped over onto its side. I don’t understand how it passed Australian standards. PLEASE do NOT buy this. I bought the Highliner SG which is much sturdier and does not tip

decent booster for an older child – We recently purchased this car seat for my 6 (almost 7) year old son. We need a very narrow car seat as we now have to fit three car seats across the back of our 5 seater car. This is a well priced, narrow car seat that fits our needs well. My son thinks the booster is very comfortable and he has no trouble getting the seat belt on and off… Read more
(although we did have to buy a small extender strap so he doesn’t have to reach between his seat and the baby capsule next to him) and the sash guide means it is always in the right position. The additional clip for the lap part of his seatbelt means that is always in the right position and there is no chance he can slip out underneath the lap part of the belt. The only concern I have with the booster is that there is no tether strap for that additional protection in the case of an accident, it is for this reason that I would not recommend it for a younger child. My son is quite tall for his age and the seat fits him very well but this may not be the case for every child.
