Great hair dye for a pop of colour – I have black hair with bleached blonde highlights. When I want a pop of colour in my hair, I use this product. I have only used the pink and purple dyes (my colour preference). Application is simple. I wash my hair then towel dry it until damp. and stain. I then squeeze the tube out into a bowl, wear gloves, and use my hands to apply. I use an entire tube for my whole head with collarbone length hair. Sit tight for 30 mins (I leave it in long because I want darker/more vibrant colour). Then wash with COOL or COLD water, with my head over a basin or bath tub (the instructions specifically say do NOT wash in the shower). I then towel dry and it's done.

Note that the colour you get is the colour of the dye once it has been squeezed out of the tube. Do not rely on the colour printed on the box (which tends to be a lighter shade because it is packaging). If in doubt, squeeze the dye out and spread a bit on a piece of white paper.

The dye usually lasts on my hair for 3-4 weeks. I wash my hair with cool/cold water and shampoo every 2 days. The shampoo does take some colour out, I can see the the colour tinging the water in the shower. As I have curly hair, I wet my hair each morning, but this does not take colour out.

I have had no problems with this dye staining my bleached blonde hair once it is out. My hair returns to its normal bleach blonde colour and remains healthy.

The dye does temporarily stain clothes (when your hair is wet) and towels (used to dry my hair). The washing machine and napisan will get the stains out. This product does not stain my bathroom. If I get any on bathroom surfaces, I wipe it off quickly with a wet sponge.

Best pink hair dye ever – I've tried manic panic and brand hair house warehouse sells and this stuff beats it all. I have hair extensions maintained by a salon and even my hairdresser was happy to use the colour. Long lasting but it does stain stuff. Only pink die I'll ever use!! Show details

Don't understand the negatives – absolutely love this I bought the brilliance in red and blue (hair dye another brand) and the red looked bad and the purple turned my hair black so I thought I would try this (purchased the pink) and put it over my red left it for 30 mins and I love it!!!! not a hair dye. That said washing out you need to do it will cold water the hotter the water the more it will run. I did it will cold and had minimal colour change to the water and it ran clear within 5 mins. I was surprised how little it ran considering normal dye when you wash out in the shower completely changes the colour of the water. This wasn't bad at all I have only just don't it so not sure how long it will last although I suspect it will last longer seeing as I have a red under the pink

As for someone below talking about it turning their bleached hair green after washing that will happen as certain colours will deposit and stick more and I suspect blue was used which has a green in it.

Not sure what the negative comments are about ! Amazing product – I have been using different shades of pink, and they stay on my hair ( bleached) for weeks at time and when they do wash of it looks like foils. It stains but it's easily removable. Does not stain clothes only towers after the shower (and that comes of in the wash). Never used the purple. So that one may be different.

Eh – I bought this product from Ulta beauty and was hesitant to use it. shower it was looking good, very pink as I hoped but as soon as I dried it, I couldn’t even find the pink strand. As I said earlier, I didn’t have bleached hair but I have used semi-permanent products before on my un-bleached hair and the results were awesome. I was just trying out different brands so I guess I will go back to the old stuff I was using before.

Not pink – Used this product this morning and it’s definitely not pink, looked reddish when came out of tube. Unable to dilute the colour even though I used a ton of conditioner. Ended up using some just on the ends of my hair and it’s red. I do use the pink shampoo and conditioner and it’s so much better as a colour deposit.
