looooove this machine!!!! – What an awesome machine! This was my first overlocker, i purchased it from eBay brand new for half the cost a it was someone's unwanted gift. It's user friendly, easy to set up and works a charm. Is a little noisy though but worth it when your item comes out looking professionally finished. It works on light-heavy fabrics and the blades work a treat slicing through multiple layers like a knife on butter! Highly recommend !!!!  Show details

Excellent and easy to use – I have had the 3034d for about a month now, I have used it on all sorts of materials with ease. The fabric glides smoothly through the feeder and the finish is very professional looking. Threading the machine is easy, I had never thread an overlocker before and could do it by just following the diagrams on the machine. The blade cuts nicely… Read more

through the fabric and I get no pulling or jams at all. There is a nice little hinged compartment at the front of the machine which holds tweezers, screwdriver and spare set of machine needles all of which come with the machine. The dvd is simple to follow and provides examples of what the machine is capable of doing. The machine retails for $699 but I picked mine up for $520, although the machine is great, I don't think it is worth $699. Very easy to use, smooth feeding, fast and professional finish. Light weight - it has a cheap plasticy feel about it

Fabulous for cottons – I loved it so much until I used it once too often on jeans and it jammed. Parts were expensive and the delay in getting it back was weeks. I loved it again - easy to thread, adjust tension & versatile, and So light!, until it jammed again, back to the shop, again ... I've since been told that it's not really meant for denim, that's the payoff for… Read more ·  1

a light machine... It wasn't cheap, so that's disappointing. Light, easy to thread & adjust settings, online manual can be printed easily. Works like a dream on cotton! Expensive initially and parts not cheap. Unsuited to heavier fabrics

Excellent – Brother 3043D comes with helpful DVD so it is very easy to start on real sewing. It comes with very essential blind stitch foot and the trim trap. It has nice smooth run even it is little noisy. Sorry to see, so good machine have so little support from Brother. Easy to use, nice professional finish if quality thread is used. Great machine. … Read more

Light could have been little brighter. But optional accessory are extremely expensive (Spotlight quoted AU$310,~ for 4 items), We cannot buy them from Amazon.com (much cheaper) if you live Australia they refused to post it. Service and general help for all Brother machines is almost non-existent in Sydney.

Very good overlocker for home use! – I have been very happy with the overlocker. It has many functions witch some of them I am still trying to figure out. One thing I wish would be different is the manual or the lack of a good printed manual. The overlocker came with a dvd manual witch is very hard to use in middle of a sewing project and even harder to navigate in the dvd to find… Read more ·  3

what you are looking for.

This overlocker does a beautiful job no matter what the fabric is. It is very loud thou witch makes it hard to use while kids are asleep. (considerably louder then my previous overlocker)

I have been very happy with this product! does the job beautifully manual is on a dvd, not user friendly at all.

Excellent – Very easy to use and I find the free arm a fantastic option. The user options are very straight forward and the manual is comprehensive for greater control over settings. The finished stitch looks very professional and I haven't had any problems with my machine whatsoever. Simple to use, great finish Little noisy

Excellent – The Brother overlocker is just great, easy to use and if you do happen to break a thread it is not to hard to thread as it has the threading diagram on the inside and that makes it really easy. Price is really quite reasonable for what you are getting. This machine does what it says it will which is just a real treat as not many electrical… Read more

appliance actually do as they say. Great overlocking stitch and easy to adjust for different materials. I would recommend the Brother overlocker to one and all. Great overlocker, I use it all the time. Nothing to complain about.
