said, sorry it needs to be returned to brother. A week later a new one arrived. They delivered it to me, and it was working fine. Just like the last one did. For 24 hours. 2 days in and this machine is doing exactly the same thing. A £5k machine. The engineer did check it was not customer error, after 12 years on brother, I know my way around these machines, this one is just supposed to be an upgrade. What a mess, now another 3 hour drive to return it. In total 12 hours travel, the shop did 6 hours travel. So just leave this machine in the shop to look pretty. Ps, so in the end I paid more for a Bernini, and this is a superb machine, only bad point is there is no automatic threader, but you get get used to colour changes after a while. If you bend your needle threader on a brother, it’s a hell of a job and expensive. But the Bernini is a £10 swap over at home, so this machine comes out on top. Pay a little more but do not buy a brother upgrade, they are rushing them out without kind hard testing them. But be aware. Bernini hoops can be £400, this is so annoying after buying a premium machine, especially when the hoops are moulded plastic.
