In the raised beds topped off with this product seeds did not germinate or thrive when they did germinate. Unlike the one bed it wasn’t used in. I don’t know what the problem is but I won’t be using it again. Show details

Seedlings are failing, dying within a week while I used another product for other seedlings next to brunnings product as i had run out of brunnings and the plants in other brand compost are thriving. Will never buy brunnings EVER again. The water doesn't soak in. Is it made of plastic? I suspect is from suburb side kerb pick up or council garden waste. Strange smell, almost chemically, hmmm, defs not for me... Show details

Rubbish in a bag? – Smells like the local tip (more putrefied than any kind of earthy organic smell) and the content, which included pieces latex rubber (??) and other pieces of material that did not look organic (plastic (?)) might suggest that that is where some of this material originated from... If there are inappropriate contaminates that I can see then I have… Read more

Dangerous – Found pieces of broken beer bottle through a bag of this soil. Very dangerous practice. Maybe an overview of staff and packaging areas, how does this happen! I will be taking this further Show details

Not happy – I used this product in a raised garden bed to grow sweet potatoes. At harvest time there were no potatoes in the garden soil only in the outer corners into the natural earth. My opinion is the garden soil was no good.

Easy to use and good quality – I am using this [the 90 litre blocks] to re-establish vegetable garden beds. Once processed as suggested on the packaging, it fills the garden beds well and looks great. I mixed it with some mushroom mulch to enhance the nutrient value further. Being in block initially, it makes transporting to the garden beds [after moistening in a large 4 wheel… Read more

garden trolley] very easy, instead of breaking your back moving mounds of soil with a spade. Topped with a little hay or other mulch to preserve and protect moisture content, plants/soil can have a chance to not dry and protect ground level veggies, such as cucumber, strawberries etc.. For someone like me who has a back issue and old shoulder injury, the ease of use of this material is a blessing. I personally recommend this product.

Brunnings Garden Soil – This is by far the best brand of Garden Soil i have come across so far. Have tried a few different brands and this one rates the best for me. It is dark in colour and rich in quality. The only brand i buy. If fulfills its purpose well. Thank you.  Show details
