Dishonest company, Never book with them
I've requested cancelled my flight back in Feb. After the call, they have not sent me any confirmation regarding my cancellation. I had to call them again in march and finally they sent it through, however, it wasn't a formal email, just a typed email mentioned my cancellation has been processed. They do not even send a tax invoice as they should. In earlier may, I phoned them twice and the attendants confirmed they've received the refund from the airline and they'll process it. I called them again today 25/05, the unprofessional women on t...he phone gave me an answer, they haven't received the money from the airline yet. She kept telling me my cancellation request was done on 12/march, so I have to wait until 12/June. She even said, they've sent me several SMS which I haven't received any at all. I then asked her to send me an email states the date they received my cancellation request and a tax invoice. She refused to send me a email in regards to this. As a customer, I believe I have the rights to ask for a tax invoice, how dare you decline this simple request! At the end, she just kept repeating herself and I told her all I want is an email and a tax invoice, then she hung up on me. What a disgusting company with no profession at all. Every workers said different stories, it is a fraud and evidently unlawful!!!
Ripped off amidst corona virus
I Had to change my flight date due to corona virus. Virgin offered a full refund, however BYO insisted I had to pay a cancellation/change fee of $1000 and to contact virgin for the refund. Being stuck overseas in the middle of a pandemic I had little choice but to pay for a new ticket.
Needless to say after paying the fare BYOjet refused to help me in any way whatsoever. After many hours on hold they’d hang up, they’d tell me to call virgin or my bank and gave me the full run around. Clearly taking advantage of this pandemic and exploiting travellers.
I never write reviews, but my experience with BYO was so negative I wanted to warn people to what kind of company they’re dealing with.
We cancelled our booking Feb 2020 due to covid-19, after being told by BYOjet that we would get a full 100% refund. This was confirmed in a text. When the refund eventually came through 12 weeks later it was less than 50% of what we paid with no explanation. When questioning this they told us we were given incorrect information but there was nothing they could do about it. We asked to speak with a manager but apparently this was not possible. If BYOjet didn't give us the wrong information about what refund we were entitled to in Feb we would ne...ver have cancelled at that time. Evidently, the airline cancelled the flight and we would have got a full refund if we just waited. BYOjet are taking no responsibility for the misinformation given to us and we are thousands of dollars short.
Vague & unsatisfactory communication
Advised by Byojet refunds for Covid flight cancellation can take 12 weeks. No advice regarding my specific booking. They don't need people to process any new bookings, so why delay?
PATHETIC & POINTLESS
Pathetic customer service. NOT recommended, customer service attendant spoke to me in a foreign language, as a passive aggressive display rudeness. I waited on the call for almost 20 mins to be told information I already knew. If I could rate them with zero stars that'd be my preference.
I am absolutely disgusted and appalled by BYOJET, after booking return flights in May with them only to have the airline go under and them to tell me I’m not eligible for a full refund only a credit shell valid for 6 months. They have ignored all my emails and not acknowledged the fact my partner is diabetic and auto immune deficient which means he will not be able to holiday for roughly two years. Disgraceful behaviour taking advantage of innocent people in such challenging time’s.

I filled online cancellation form several times, never received a reply. I kept trying calling them but was never connected despite waiting for over an hour each time. Total fraud!
No - refund when airline cancelled flights - why?
Booked Etihad through BYO to travel from Australia to London via Abu Dhabi on 21st April....received notification my flights had been cancelled on the 15th April, on the 24th April I received a Credit Shell note which I had not asked for - so I completed the Refund form on the 30th which hadn't been acknowledged - so I called BYO in the Philippines today to be told that: 1/. Etihad were not refunding flights - when it was they/BYO who had cancelled me and, front what I understand, international airline rules are if they cancel -they have to ref...und in a week-10 days (I know in the EU some airlines are trying to avoid this) and 2/. discovered the Credit Shell is only valid to the 21 July 2020!! So - I am going to try the airline to see how much truth there is in not refunding flight monies and, if actually so, why are other airlines giving 2-3 years of Credit Shell!!!
Very disappointing service
Never again to book with BYOjet. RIP OFF and very bad service. Flights were cancelled because of covid -19. I asked for refunds or extensions. I was told that I had to get in touch with the airline abroad to cancel my flights. I spoke with the airline and they said that BYOjet have to call their intermediary and will have authorisation for full refund. BYOjet said they will not be calling anyone so I had to call the airline again abroad and ask them to authorise the cancellation put a marker on my booking waiving all fees for BYOjet who have re...fused to act as my agent between myself and the airline. after resolving all this with the airline, BYOjet wanted to charge me $250 per ticket cancellation fee knowing full well that I did not cancel the flight myself but it was cancelled because of the pandemic so what was is the fee for? they have not provided the service nor were they willing to act as an agent between myself and the airline. Now that ACCC and Flight Centre have cancelled the cancellation fees, I have been told by BYOjet that they still have not had any instructions to waive the fees and want to charge me $100 per ticket. The cancellation fees have been waived from 02 May and today three days later BYOjet have not heard about it from head office. BAD NAME for the industry. Bad service. Never again. Very disappointed

Convert credit shell to refund
My BYOjet booked flights have recently been cancelled by Virgin Atlantic. I have been offered a credit shell which I did not request. I am entitled to a refund of the ticket price under EU law (EC 261/2004) from Virgin Atlantic via you - my ticket supplier. I am due a full refund by the FLIGHT CENTRE (UK) LTD TRADING AS BYOJET as they are able to reclaim my ticket cost from Virgin Atlantic in accordance with EU law.

BYOJET huge disappointment
I am so frustrated as I cannot contact BYOJET. When COVID-19 started to become a problem I changed my booking to omit a planned stay in Hong Kong on my return from Europe. BYOJET charged me $250 to make that change, on top of a $400 change fee from Emirates.
When I needed to cancel my trip, I rang BYOJET on 15 March and opted for a refund rather than accept a credit which was only offered for 11 months, which would not work for me even if there was a vaccine before 1 March 2021. I was told that I would be charged a fee of $250 by BYOJET and $...600 by Emirates. That's quite a lot of money to lose over both the change and cancellation - total of $1,500 for no service from Emirates and very little from BYOJET. I was sent a text confirmation. I was stunned at the time as I was informed that it would take up to 12 weeks to receive my refund (I had for the first time in my life booked business class flights. It is interesting as the money is taken promptly when a booking is made and yet one has to wait up to 12 weeks to receive a refund - doesn't seem right). It is now over 7 weeks and about 10 days ago I received an email from BYOJET, attached was proof of credit, the amount and reference number. I did not want a credit and I wanted to confirm that I will be receiving a refund. I cannot get through on the phone (I have experienced several times being left on hold for some time, to have the call ended before anyone speaks with me) and there is also a message on the wesbsite that they are not accepting any emails. BYO $250 per person Processing Fee for Refund What a Joke
BYO has charged me $250 per person for a processing fee x 3 people ($750.00). I booked our flight 28 April 2019. They offered a credit but then said a credit is not an option because I have 12 months to use which means I had to travel by 28 April 2020. This was not possible due to Covid. The airline has fully refunded BYO which in good faith BYO should pass the whole refund on to the customer not keep $250.00 per person for processing refund. BYO you are profiting from people that are struggling at this time. You ought to be a shamed of yourselves. You definitely will not be getting any business from me in the future.

They are charging $250 for flight cancellation when the airlines themselves are not charging anything to BYO.
Now even Flight centre has started refunding its customers which is the right thing to do.
Shame on you BYO Jet. During such stressful times , you ought to give the money back. I could have understood a $20 cancellation but how did you come up with $250 ? Are they paying their staff $250 to book at ticket ? Is that their labour per hour cost to the company ?

Impending class action - join up
I am a victim of the Flight Centre Group's unfair cancellation fees too. Seriously, why they think they are entitled to $250 fees for do-it-yourself online travel tools is beyond unscrupulous.
Go to facebook and join up to "Flight Centre Class Action Australia" page. The administrator is garnering interest for a class action against Flight Centre Group for all the victims under their many many brands.

They finally responded with a credit voucher, for my spent amount.
It arrived in my mailbox the following day after my last review. They never emailed to give me an option. after Emirates cancelled flights. There was no letter to ask would I prefer a refund. They still dont answer the phone. They say not to email. I'd love to speak to someone. I'm a very understanding person. I just need to speak with someone please.
Iam intent on trying to call over the next two days and then will seek Consumer laws.

!Total thieves !! Tried telling me singapore airlines were charging me $250 to cancel. But when i said i knew for fact there was no charge, they replied they were charging it just to call the airline ! Hope they go bankrupt and the genuine companys that are playing fair profit in the long run. Never ever book with these thieves.

My E Ticket is 7383363515179, I will travel from 4/6/20 till 8/7/20 with VN772 but at the moment Australia won't allow anyone to go out of the country or vice versa.
