Can’t live without it! – I started using this 30 years ago on a recommendation from a friend. I had horrific dermatitis on my hands from being a florist. Cracks, itching and dry scaled skin. calmurid saved my hands and brought them back to new again. I have continued to use it all these years. I now have later life psoriasis on my knees and elbows and whilst calmurid… Read more
doesn’t clear it up completely, it keeps it bearable and more under control than anything else I’ve been prescribed by a doctor or just tried over the counter. I can’t recommend it enough!
Great Stuff – Best Moisturiser I have ever used and it doesn't contain PHENOXYETHANOL which is bad for you. I usually like buying Australian made but this is one thing that nothing made here or anywhere else can compare to Show details
Life changing for dry skin people – Changed my life 35 years ago when a Dr suggested it. I have had Icthyosis all my life and it was much worse during cold winters. Fingers would split open painfully. Just simply the best.
Love it – Love this stuff, but do not use it if your skin has open sores (can sting - a lot!) I've tried alternatives that also contain urea but i think this is the best, for me at least. It seems to have a high content of water which can spurt out of the tube a few days after opening and the tubes themselves easily seem to develop cracks. However this… Read more
partnered with more emollient products, ie ointment really seems to work. Of course being a skin product it may not work for all so if you do choose to try it you should test it first.
Lifesaver – This cream has been a lifesaver. No dermatologist could cure my skin condition until I used this cream which was suggested by my GP! I had red patches on my skin which turned into patches with little blisters which had clear liquid inside of them, that liquid would be very contagious if in contact. After using this consistently for 2-3 months… Read more
along with Diprosone OV ointment, my condition has been very well controlled. Hopefully it stays this way *fingers crossed*
Return of Calmurid, the best hand cream ever! – After Calmurid being unavailable for the past six months and my hands suffering a return of contact dermatitis, my local pharmacy here in Victoria phoned to say my back order was in. I am soooo happy as nothing I tried came anywhere near the moisturising properties of Calmurid. It does the job beautifully without leaving hands greasy and slippery… Read more
which is important as I am a bodywork therapist and need to keep my hands well washed and moisturised.
Literally can't do without it – I've used this cream now for decades for contact dermatitis. Use it every night before bed and it is the only thing that keeps the problem at bay. It is the best cream ever.
Calmurid Cream for very dry skin – I suffer from very dry, scaly skin, especially on my arms, legs and back. After trying all kinds of creams and lotions all my life, I was recommended Calmurid cream. Within two days I found my ultra dry skin more moisturized. Continued application saw to the complete disappearance of all that dry skin on most parts of my body. I have been using… Read more
this cream for 6 years now. I began applying this cream twice a day but I now use just once a day .. after my bath or shower.
One bad winter, my skin was getting a bit dry on my legs. I applied Calmurid as usual and wrapped my lower legs with cling wrap just before bed. In the morning my legs were dewy and so smooth. This is a trick I found watching "The Doctors" on TV.
Another trick; after my shower or bath, I don't allow my skin to dry up completely ... just pat with a towel and almost immediately apply Calmurid. This locks in moisture within the skin.
Worth spending little extra. Decent solution for dry skin and day to day skin care – I am more than happy with Calmurid Pro Body Lipolotion that I was using for the last 3 consecutive weeks now. Twice a day, in the morning and and before sleep. I decided to give it a proper go and diligently use it every day. Because of my past experience with different brands I was cautious what to expect and didn't had very high… Read more
expectations. It's a hit or miss.
My skin varies and while generally I am happy with it I would still have dry and somehow little cracked skin texture on my shins, not that I worry too much but I was looking forward to improve it for summer time. I also knew that I have to take special care of my feet soles that during winter time became dry and rough, not only that, some deep cracks appeared on both soles. If I applied enough pressure on my feet it would start to hurt a little.
Lotion is very gentle on the smell, it is rich but not greasy, absorption time is around 15-25 minutes which is quite nice. Long after I apply it I feel natural protective layer built around my skin, it feels tender and smooth. Cracks on my soles are 50% gone. Skin on the shins improved by large.
My wife she has mild eczema's on her elbows and while she has time proven remedy of her own she was more that happy to try. I would post photos of improvements but she was a little shy to do it. Urea solution in cream seems to work very well on my skin.
Would I recommend it? Yes.
Improves Keratosis Pilaris dramatically with daily use! – Use this on any area of your body that has bumps or lumps. Great for Keratosis Pilaris, mine has cleared dramatically. Light ex-foliation in the shower of the skin area then rub this cream in when skin is dry. If you suffer from bum acne in the summer time use this stuff there too! Clears it quickly. It's not a cure so if you miss a day the bumps… Read more
will come back so use it daily after showering and before bed. Good value. I bought mine at Chemist Warehouse.
Calmurid Cream Great For Dry Skin! – Calmurid Cream contains 10% Urea and 5% Lactic acid, those are components that are found in the human skin to hydrate and break down thick skin such as dry skin. Anyways this cream is generally used for dry and hyperkeratotic skin conditions, itchthyosis and atopic eczema. I used this cream for dry and rough skin on my face on the chin area. I… Read more
initially used 30% urea cream from a brand called Uriage Keratosane 30 Cream Gel which I just used for two days. Using Uriage cream did not peel the dry rough skin on my chin but made it more rougher meaning that the skin is about to fall off in probably a weeks time with consistent use of the Uriage cream. But I couldn't wait that long and so I used Calmurid cream which I applied twice (not a thick layer nor a thin layer, just enough on the dry rough area) and had it on my face for approximately 4 hours, then I went to the shower with really warm water (ensure you don't face the shower head because you will damage your good skin), what I did was stay in the shower for approximately 10 minutes enough to get the skin moist, made sure I splashed some of the warm water on my chin area a few times and then I rubbed the area not hard but medium pressure and dead skin started to come off my face. Now, if you have stubborn dry rough skin that will not peel with other creams, just use Calmurid cream for a few days until you start seeing flakes or thick dry patches that look like they will fall off in the shower. Once the dead skin is all rubbed off I recommend that you turn the warm water into cold water and face the shower head, then quickly get out of the shower do not dry your face with the towel, get dressed and quickly apply cream that ONLY contains UREA without the LACTIC ACID so discontinue using the Calmurid cream and use something like Uriage Keratosane 30 Cream Gel (30% urea) or Nutraplus 10% urea cream or any cream that just contains urea in it. A higher percentage I recommend because the quicker you can hydrate the skin the faster healing time. So if you have dry skin, use Calmurid cream to soften the hardened skin so you can rub it off in the shower, and MAKE SURE YOU BRING A HAND HELD MIRROR IN THE SHOWER BECAUSE YOU DO NOT WANT TO OVER RUB THE AREA AS YOU CANNOT SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING! Also IF THE SKIN DOES NOT COME OFF OBVIOUSLY YOU WILL NEED A FEW MORE DAYS OR EVEN WEEKS BEFORE YOUR SKIN STARTS TO PEEL, IN MY CASE I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT BECAUSE MY CHIN AREA LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO PEEL BUT IT JUST NEEDED THE CALMURID CREAM TO ASSIST IT TO PEEL MORE EASILY. I hope this review helps.
