Great compact camera. Brilliant photos – This is a brilliant camera which takes great photos for a compact camera. It's small enough to take everywhere but still takes brilliant photos. Has many features and modes, as well as HD video. Flash is brilliant and claims to go to 7m. It can also run in manual mode and has a great adjustable dial near the lens to focus, change aperture etc... Brilliant camera for a reasonable price. Photo quality

Always ready – I was looking for a take-anywhere, always-ready camera. The Canon Powershot S100 fitted the bill. It has good reviews from a number of online digital camera websites. I've owned several Canon cameras and have had good results from them all, so it was an easy decision. It has a larger than usual image sensor for its compact size, which means it's… Read more

more sensitive to light than small sensor cameras. A useful focal length zoom and bright(ish) f2.0 at the widest aperture, means a versatile camera.

Small enough to fit in my jeans pocket, it starts up quickly and is ready for action. The Auto mode is the most used, and will deliver great photos in most lighting conditions. Other modes allow for limitless creativity.

The video mode produces great movies of pretty good quality. No complaints.

Once you learn to use the dial around the lens, it provides access to a whole range of features found only on more expensive cameras.

Feels solid and well built in the hand too.

Photo editing software doesn't improve the image, so images saved as jpeg are usually spot on for colour and contrast.

In all, a very impressive little camera. Highly recommended.

One improvement would be to place the flash nearer the middle. I find my finger is naturally almost always over the flash when it wants to pop up. Takes some getting used. Compact, fast, versatile, well built, great image quality Flash is inconveniently located

prices. We purchased from JB HiFi which sales staff are great but definately could have picked up for alot less off the internet. We lost our old camera (another cannon) and have a new baby so the shipping time was just way to long for us. But some of the beautiful photos we got hours after purchase for us was worth the extra money. Fantastic photos a perfect point and shoot camera. The strap seems to be in the wrong position for me but prefer to work around it than drop the camera.
