Best compact I have bought...yet – We like compacts. We buy a new one generally every year or two as technology progresses and better models become available. Had a Sony HX30V with a huge zoom and loads of features but it was heavy and bulky. I wanted something that slipped into my pocket and had excellent picture quality. Even looked at SLRs previous and the starters were still too bulky. Mirror less cameras, well again, expensive and changeable lenses which you have to carry around.

We love the S120 because it is solidly built has easy to use manual menu options to play around with including a very solid movable ring around the lens and you can assign different functions to it depending on the high mode you're in, but best of all : It has a killer super right lens. You want SLR picture brightness and vivid colour reproduction? You won't be disappointed with the S120 , in fact if you have used other compacts it will give you the wow factor! Got a good price and excellent advice from Paxtons and haven't looked back. The video quality is also stunning and the battery life is better than any other compact I have used. The screen is also much much better than on the Sony and the Sony was a camera we really liked.

Canon S120, highly recommended.
